wonder how it is pronounced in dutch... looks quite a latin name to me...
Royalsa explained it quite well, the two o's in the name get a really Dutch sound, like in the word 'oh', but more open and longer.
So it's something like Lay-Oooh-Noooh-ru. At least that is how I pronounce it...

Oh, btw. The 'ooo' is not pronounced like in 'school'. It really is a very long version of the 'o' in 'no'. That silly Dutch Language!

Congratulations!:)
It is the second Leonore among European royals. A bit surprising especially that Spainish Leonore was born just recently but the all new baby's names are very pretty.

Congratulations to the parents, the Royal Family and the country of The Netherlands! Wonderful news!

How is Leonore pronounced in Dutch, does anyone know? It might become a bit confusing at times in the future, with two royal children named Leonor(e), but the name is certainly a nice and different (in Scandinavia measures, that is) one.

You pronounce Leonore as Leeh-ow-Noh-re (of something like that, it's very hard to explain)

What a happy addition to the Dutch royal family! :)

The Dutch royal family picks the nicest names for their children: Amalia, Alexia, Eloise, Claus-Casimir, Luana, Anna (Anastasia), Lucas, Felecia, Isabella and Sam. I am not disappointed by Constantijn and Laurentien's daughter's name.

I wonder though where Enrica comes from?

And when did Constantijn and Laurentien arrive back in the Netherlands from their home in Brussels for the arrival of their little girl?

Congratulations! I love the name. I wonder where Enrica came from though? Its funny that Leonore has always been one of my favorite names and now there are two royal babies with that name!

CONGRATULATIONS to the family! All those little girls are going to have so much fun growing up together.

I was not fussed on this name when it was used for Felipe and Letizia's daughter, it reminds me of "Lenor" the washing liquid (!).

I assume they are just spelt different and sound the same?
