A little older, but a lovely photo:

What a sweet child! He looked great in a traditional outfit.I hope that a tough life ahead as the Crown Prince will not break him.

I'm still hoping that Princess Aiko will get the crown. But Hisahito is too cute for words, I just want to eat him up!!!

Thumbs up

I just want to remind you of this very nice site.
http://www.dai2ntv.jp/common/misc/kochi2/nikoniko/index.html

The latest film we can find there presently is princess Kiko with her children, watching the exhibition: "Empress and her children". And the one before is Aiko with her parents. One can see that lil´ Aiko is preparing to be a big girl soon by losing some of her first teeth...

I could see it. I can't believe the way Princesses Mako and Kako were dressed - suits and handbags like middle-aged ladies.

Hallo Elspeth, You will not mind, if I am of another opinion than you. Of course, the outfits of the three Princesses were not highly trendy, but they were classic, simple, good quality, well fitting, simple colours, and all this together seemed to me very agreeable and of good taste.

I'm a little confused about the "sad" appearance of the princesses --- if I had not read the comments regarding that I would've thought they looked fine? It seems to be a point of confusion about the eye expression more than anything, but to me they look OK and not at all sad.

I am Asian also, I wonder if I posted some photos of my sister and I if you would not also think we look sad because we're not smiling :p

I agree; these girls are dressed like middle-aged ladies !! I agree with the classical look, but with some fashionable accesories to make them look younger....

Thanks for the video. She's adorable than ever!! and I like the way they (or her mom) dressed her. It has many nice cut and color, subdued but good quality, enough to suggest that she's a royal. Altough I'm hoping for more variations, maybe the closest to fashionable as with the designs of Oshkosh, Gap, or something... And I hope when she'll enter Mako & Kako's age, she or Masako will impose enough control not to dressed the same kinds of outfit as them. No offence to MaKako, I adore them as always, just not the clothes these past few days...

Btw, that puppy on her lap is Yuri, right?

Well, when I posted it in autumn, there was another video in front, so, although you may not be aware of it, it is actually you who posted it this time , as now probably many will look again at this site and so discover the video of Aiko and her parents that is now in front. And yep, that is Yuri. And I absolutely agree concerning the outfits of the young Princesses Akishino. I think them very, very nice g.irls, and I just wish their mother would dress them more like she dressed herself when she was their age – which was also elegant and ladylike but more fitted for a teenager or a young woman.

(The last four are all from this forum: http://www.yuko2ch.net/mako/mako/18.htm )

Just because they are imperial princesses they should not be obliged to put on clothing that a sixty-year old woman could wear without raising the smallest surprise.

But I have hopes that Aiko will not suffer the same fate. One rarely sees them but I think that the young Princesses Takamado are dressed prettily and elegantly at the same time, in as attractive a way as young g.irls, royal or commoner, should always be.

And Princess Masako is known to be very good friends with their mother…

Oops! Something strange happened obviously to four of the Kiko-links in my post above.

Now they should work as intended:
