I found a video of Prince Hisahito's first visit to the shrine in the Imperial Palace. This video also contains other princes' and princesses' first visits to the shrine when they were new-born babies: Prince Naruhito, Prince Fumihito, Princess Mako, Princess Kako, and Princess Aiko, in order of appearance.

The gentle and reliable father, the elegant and intelligent mother, the bright and dutiful daughters... and now the little saviour's cute face made it perfect.

They do smile. It is a pity that you have missed their biggest smiles on September 6 last year. This is a photo taken when they came to see their brother at the hospital for the first time. The two Princesses of Akishino smile so naturally both before and after his birth.
