Default How will the people of Japan react/celebrate if Princess Kiko's baby is indeed a boy?

How will the people of Japan react/celebrate
if Princess Kiko's baby is indeed a boy? :)

Also, shouldn't her doctors already know
the sex of the baby by now? Or are they
sworn to secrecy? It just seem to me that
if the baby is a boy, the logical course of
action is to annouce it right now, no?

Thanks!

the ultra anxious Japanese are ready to raise the rising sun flag to the sky and long await for the baby's arrival. Knowing how lucky Princess Kiko is, she is most likely to have a baby boy according to my Japanese mother.

The Japan will eat seawater eel, red bean rice, and tai fish to celebrate the birth of the little heir if the boy is born.

I think the older, more conservative Japanese men will be very relieved that a boy has finally been born to inherit the throne.

When Aiko was born, celebrations lasted for a week..... so sweet. :) I can see the same for this baby - free sake, lantern parades, and thousands lining up to sign the book of congratulations.

They will celebrate if the baby is a boy or if the baby is a girl. I know it. We have a huge Japanese community here in my country, and I know Japanese people very well. They are fantastic people. :)

I don't feel that it's going to be a boy...Wouldn't they have announced it to the whole world by now if it was a boy?
It's sad that the princess is trying to have a baby at her age...Is it some kind of a competition??

of course there is competition or should i say pressure for a male heir, remember a 2000-year-old monarchy is at stake here and without the male heir there would be major conflict over what should happen next
