Princess Astrid of Belgium (R) poses with a worker of the A2Z mosquito net factory in Arusha, 03 October 2007. The factory is the largest mosquito net maker and distributor in Africa. The nets are an essential preventive measure against the transmision of Malaria. Malaria, according to the UN kills approximately 3,000 children a day worldwide and remains the single largest cause of death for children under five in sub-Saharan Africa.

Princess Astrid declared during her trip to Zambia that her childern later will have to go to work to earn a living.

"they have to find their own way in live and we leave them free to do what they want to do" According to the daughter of Albert and Paola the chance is high that the 22-year old Amedeo will follow the footsteps of his father as banker. 'And my oldest daughter just came back from China where she learned the language"
