The nets are an essential preventive measure against the transmision of Malaria. Malaria, according to the UN kills approximately 3,000 children a day worldwide and remains the single largest cause of death for children under five in sub-Saharan Africa.

Princess Astrid will be in Zambia on April 25th to attend the first worldday of the fight against Malaria, which will be held in Livingstone. The Princess will also meet medical teams.
