The pics from March 28 and the ones belga has dated
with March 31 look so similar, could it be that's it's all
been from the hospital visit on March 28?

Princess Astrid meets Saudi Arabia's Finance Minister
Ibrahim al-Assaf in Riyadh March 29, 2009.
Princess Astrid is in the country to urge the government

I thought the same thing, but you'd assume an agency like Belga would be carefull enough about these things...

I thought the same thing, but you'd assume an agency like Belga would be carefull enough about these things...

Some time ago they've filled their stock with many old pics from the
last years and dated them as if they were new, so I'm not sure..

Besides that: how long did or does she stay in Saudia Arabia, Qatar and
the UAE? Seems I've missed that information.

According to Monarchie.be: from 27 March to 3 April... So don't stop searching for pics yet!

Today the Princess moved on to the UAE, declared malaria-free in 2007.

I thought so as well. A great chance for both to get to know the international work of the programme.

Belgian Princess makes malaria plea to RI

Princess Astrid of Belgium, in her capacity as the special representative of the Roll Back Malaria Partnership (RBM), has asked Indonesia to help provide greater commitment to global malaria control efforts. The message was delivered during the princess’ meeting with Indonesia’s First Lady Any Yudhoyono at the Merdeka Palace on Friday.

I really do appreciate Princess Astrid's work on malaria.
It's such a shame that people still die from a disease that is both preventable and easily curable.

Thank you for the new pictures, iceflower. :flowers:
Princess Astrid looks lovely.

Nice to see princess Astrid in the traditional ceremony.
