Yes something is a bit matronly in her look at the wedding Marchesina I agree not the best choice here for a young tall woman IMO

Any news about Joachim? Has he graduated already from Bocconi University?
I'm terribly sad there aren't any latest photos since Queen Fabiola's funeral, most especially news...
Are there also any interviews of him which I missed? Or is it that I haven't missed something because he never got interviewed?

Are there any more recent news about the 3 sisters, too? May some in Belgium tell us? Thanks a lot in advance ^^

Princess Laeticia Maria (12) will go to school in England according to het Nieuwsblad,. They claim to have the information from a 'reliable source'.

There was no space anymore at the Sint-Jan Berchmans college in Brussels. So this is they way they solved it, claims the newspaper. Apparently they were late with calling the school to enroll her: the school already accepted the maximum amount of students.

Geen plaats in Sint-Jan Berchmans? Dat lost Laetitia Mari... - Het Nieuwsblad

I suppose there must be more schools in Brussels so the explanation seems a bit odd to me; as is sending a 12 y/o to another country. Perhaps they made a mistake in the article and the princess will be joining the British school in Brussels.

Didn't most of her siblings go to foreign schools after a certain age? That theory holds up more than the "there's no place for her at the SJB school", we all know that one phone call from the palace would have solved the issue if that was the case

I think it's gonna be weird for her not to share classes with Gabriel any longer

The article mentions that Amedeo was 16 when he left to Sevenoaks in England.

That report sounds rather strange. How can experienced parents of five be late to enroll their youngest in secondary school? Imo 12 is very young to go to boarding school abroad. But then every child is different, Laetitia Maria might have been very keen on going. After seeing her siblings going to school abroad, she might think that boarding school must be a great adventure. (That's what I thought at twelve, and after reading all those Enid Blyton stories. )

Let's see if that report will be confirmed.

It was e.a; because she has a double name Laetitia Maria which was refused in their computer....
St Jean Berckmans is the best dutch School in Brussels. There is a waiting list because it is the best way for french speaking Children to know Dutch.

The School did no difference between a Princess and a commun Girl. A première in Belgium...

I am happy to hear that French-speaking parents in Belgium now find it important that their children learn Dutch. Wasn't there a time when Belgian Francophones simply dismissed Dutch (the spoken Flemish actually rather than standard written Dutch) as a low-class rural dialect ?

If you want to work in Belgium you have to speak fluently our both languages.

If you want to work in Brussels, you have to speak fluently our 2 languages and english.

Actually In Belgium the money is mostly in Flanders and before 1950 Flanders was poor and low class.

Why can the vast majority of the Flemish people understand or speak French and why can almost no one from Wallonia understand or speak Dutch?

That is our big problem.
At School they may choose now their second language Dutch or English.
The wise parents asked their french speaking kids to choose Dutch , and we hear : ce bête flamand !
Flemish people like to go to our Ardennes or in France in hôtels, campings , guesthouses and are speaking French quickly.
At our seaside from Knokke to La Panne , you have now to speak dutch in the shops but not on cafés or restaurants.

"Daughter of Princess Astrid gives exclusive birthday party in Italy for 200 guests"

"Maria Luisa, daughter of Princess Astrid, is only next month 21. But last weekend she has already celebrated in Italy. Holiday in Gallipoli (Lecce) she had invited two hundred guests for a party with an exquisite buffet and a DJ who had flown in specially from London. Among the guests were King Philip and Queen Mathilde."

Thank you eya. The article also states that she studies political sciences in Montreal, which is the reason why the party was held one month early.
