:previous: This is a wonderful and worthwhile cause. I wish it got more attention in the press!:ermm:

.

Today, September 5, Prince Laurent attended the presentation of the "Qooder", a new four wheel motor bike, in Brussels:

Wow, he looks EXACTLY like his father in THIS picture, the same downturn expression, same face structure

It could end these stupid rumours that Laurent is not King Albert's son.

Weirdly enough if he wasn't Albert's son I think it would show, genetics in this family, specially in the male side are SUPER strong.

Nicholas looks like Laurent, who looks like Albert; Aymeric looks like King Baudouin at the same age (with blue eyes).

Philippe looks more like Paola's side of the family but still has a lot of resemblance to his father and Emmanuel is a mini-clone of himself.

Considering he recently compared his own plight to that of the Jews during the war this visit may be of use to get things in perspective.

From the article posted by iceflower:

The remarks of the prince made Michael Freilich, chief editor of the magazine 'Joods Actueel' invite the prince for a visit to this holocaust museum. The newspaper claims the visit was characterised by an 'open atmosphere'.

The prince clarified once more that he meant to say that those who are different can easily be singled out. 'We need to prevent such behavior, not only in the class room or at work, but also at other places in our society. It all starts with bullying but the story of the Kazerne Dossin shows to where it can lead'.

According to Freilich he was able to explain the role of Belgium and the royal family during the war. The prince was open to learn more. The children of Freilich and Laurent got along well during the visit, they were all playing the same computer game Fortnite. Princess Claire found a good conversation partner in Freilich's wife, who also has British roots.

The idea to make this visit with the families came from prince Laurent. He thought it was important to give a signal that this kind of education is not only for adults or schools, but also something for families.

I'm glad that Laurent and his family were invited after Laurent's unnecessary, but usual, outbursts and comparisons between his situation and that of the Jews in Nazi occupied Europe. As I said at the time I do understand where he's coming from but it was in quite poor taste to compare his circumstances with such tragic and extreme circumstances of Jews and other ethnic and religious minorities in occupied Europe during WWII.
I loved the anecdote about Laurent's children and Mr. Freilich's children bonding over Fortnite - which seems to be all the range amongst young teenagers now! I hope that his children aren't lumped in with their father's woe is me rants in the media.

When King Albert II inaugurated the Holocaust Museum , he stayed only 20 minutes. Families were waiting to great him but they were told that the King already left.

The picture of their last family Visit in Mechelen says NO !
Speculation. Paris Match did it 2 weeks ago.

:previous: Thanks eya. Louise looks so grown up in this photo; she seems like a nice young lady.

Prince Laurent is like Princess/Queen Paola , when he don't like he shows it.
Why are they not sitting to gether?

:previous:

Judging from the look on his face I first thought Belgium had lost, so I checked out the final score...;) Maybe they were late when ordering the tickets and couldn't secure seats in the same row of seats..But we'll never find out, I guess.

Prince Laurent looking as unpleasant as ever I don't blame them for not wanting to sit near him.
