On March 16 Prince Laurent attended the award ceremony of the "Life full of music" award. The ceremony took place within the framework of the programme Hall of Fame 2017 of Radio 2 (VRT) and SABAM at the Casino of Ostend. Prince Laurent handed out an award as well:

What a nice Event for the Kids and the Press was there again, Princess Claire seems not that happy.

I like to follow this family. Kids are often involved.

I also like to follow Prince Laurent, Princess Claire and their children.

I cannot understand why now Princess Claire attends only her Private Events and no more royal events.
During King Albert II and Queen Paola's Reign , she was always there.

What a wonderful geste by Mercedes-Benz.

I must say Prince Laurent does not look healthy. Besides a weight problem I seem to see a disbalance in his standing: he leans forward and the head is tucked on the shoulders. It looks a bit tense overall.

Congratulations for this action !

Prince Laurent viewed the photo exhibition "My vision of Japan" by Francesco Serafini at the Cultural Centre of the Embassy of Japan in Brussels yesterday, May 11. The exhibition is organized for the victims of the earthquake of Amatrice, Italy, last year.

The foundation of Prince Laurent, Global Sustainable Development Trust, is rewarded 38 million Euro in damages, to be paid by the Government of Libya.

In 2008 the Libyan Government engaged the Trust of Prince Laurent for an ambitious project of re-foresting barren land between the cities of Tripoli, Benghazi and Al Baida, to stop the spread of the desert. The Trust hired a lot of engineers, specialists and local workforce to prepare the immense project. In 2010 however, the Libyans unilaterally ended the project, leaving their Belgian partners with big losses.

The Trust of Prince Laurent started a juridical procedure and, after earlier lawsuits, now the Civic Tribunal of the Brussels Court of Justice has -in appeal- definitively set the damages on 38 million Euro.

Libya has appealed the decision.

I do not understand the article TBH. The agenda of the royal family actually shows more events for Laurent recently, the last one being on May 11th 2017:

https://www.monarchie.be/nl/agenda/decarbheat

A Japanese exhibition on May 9th:

In Heverlee on May 8th:

Animal protection on May 5th:

If the palace is including these events in their agenda, Laurent must surely be representing his brother?

The twitter account of the prince shows a few more activities, which have not been included in the agenda of the royal website: https://twitter.com/laurent_of_b

HRH Prince Laurent of Belgium is really a remarkable person...

He was guest of honour at the Concours Reine Elisabeth 2017. This year´s concours was dedicated to the cello. The Prince was well-prepared: he took two yellow noise dempers with him, put it in his ears and had a good sleep in the royal loge...

That is the understatement of the year. ;)

How terribly rude to the contestants! He is behaving like a spoiled child. Why did he bring these earplugs;? He knew in advance he would hate the music? He should have stayed home if behaving in a normal manner was not possible. I suspect it will be the last time he will be attending the event on behalf of the RF.

How rude indeed he should be permanently uninvited to all future events!
