They skimmed stones with Princess Estelle
It was Saturday, when Viktor Forsberg went with his ​​two daughters Alicia and Ellen and his parents to a beach in Sandvik on Öland. They met another family with children. But not just any family - it was the Crown Princess couple and Princess Estelle who were there and skimmed stones to the water.
- We climbed over a wall and went down on the rocky beach, and there stood Victoria, Estelle and Daniel. They had with them two Säpo guards and also some friend, I think, says Forsberg.
They stood together with the Crown Princess couple about 20 minutes and threw stones into the water - and Prince Daniel proved to be a real whiz at skimming stones. But the combination of stone throwing and the royals made a little worried:
- When children stand and throw stones one is terrified. They're ordinary people, and all parents are as anxious as the children will throw stones. But it went well, no one was hit.
- They told that they try to come here as soon as they get the opportunity. And you notice that they are accustomed to people talking to them, they are very nice.
But that there were two princesses had Alicia, 7 and Ella, 5, no idea. That they learned only afterwards.
- Afterwards I told them whom they had thrown stones with. The older girl became most angry that Estelle had no princess clothes. But they thought afterwards it was pretty great.

This is a lovely little story, it's nice Victoria and Daniel children who they don't necessarily know play with Estelle. I remember reading once that Victoria and Daniel say hello to passers by who walk in the grounds Haga Palace, they sound like they're very open and friendly.
The anecdote about one of the little girl's disappointment at Estelle not wearing any "princess clothes" is so sweet. But I bet it's an awesome feeling for them to have played with a real little princess.
 
Expressen has an article about "Estelle at the summer's first visit to Öland". The video is a couple of months old, when Johan T Lindwall flew over Solliden.
It is an article of the family's visit to Solliden last weekend when Victoria and Daniel had a work event in Kalmar. Estelle was on a happy mood and was quickly out of the plane, and down at airport plate joked father Daniel with jumping both feet together, to the delight of the little princess.
As Expressen has previously told, beside their villa Skönviken in Solliden is Victoria's and Daniel's gift to Estelle: An outdoor swimming pool. Now the family could see that the pool construction is in it's final phase and only the final details remain before the it is completed, 4 x 10 meters.
According to Expressen, Estelle is going to spend most of the summer in Öland with her parents. Also Madeleine and her family plan to spend most of the summer there. The article also quotes the story about the family skimming stones in Sandvik.

One can expect Expressen and Johan T Lindwall to be inconsiderate and lacking integrity regarding the CP couples privacy but why re-post the video on this site. The summer home is the private get-away for the royal couple and they certainly deserve that space.
 
It is quite normal that the houses of celebrities (in this case royals) are being filmed from the air to the video and photos. Here in Finland it is done all the time, the photos of the homes of finnish celebrities taken from the air are published at magazines. It isn't so bad if they are not filming people at the yard of their homes, just the houses. I don't remember seen photos taken from the air of Solliden when the royal family is there. And on the other hand, if there would be no photos of Victoria's and Daniel's house, people would speculate how big palace they have built. Now people can see that is a totally normal house.

An article in Der Tagespiegel a week ago about Victoria and her family.
The article writes that the popularity of the monarchy in Sweden is steadily decreasing. But the royal family has a popular figure that outshines everything: Crown Princess Victoria. For years, the heir to the throne has been ranked as number one on the list of the most popular public figures in Sweden. The 37-year-old is considered to be charming, down to earth and efficient. Her impeccable image remains unchallenged, and since the birth of the now three year-old daughter Estelle, the enthusiasm has grown.
Victoria and her husband Prince Daniel are now considered the main standard-bearers for what the official site Sweden.se called "a modern royal family". Above all, they lift the venerable institution in a country that likes to see itself as the most advanced in the world and where one has little time for hierarchies and snobbery. Victoria's daughter attends a "normal" day care, and Victoria and Daniel kept both parental leave. This knowledge is hard work. Just like her father and her brother Victoria suffers from dyslexia. The three year old is always good-humored at the public appearances and is considered new wonder of the royal family and does not bode well for the efforts of the Republican Association.

Of course CP Victoria is so popular! Who else is left??? She embodies what a crown princess is supposed to be... I have always rooted for her and always will be....
 
Daniel will play golf at the Nordea Masters Pro-am day Wednesday 3rd June in Malmö. At pro-am day the professional golfers who compete at the Nordea Masters Tournament, play with amateurs. The Nordea Masters will be played on 4th-7th June.

Singer, Eurovision Song Contest winner 1999 Charlotte Perrelli has a son at the same preschool as Estelle. Charlotte tells at an interview about Victoria:
- Yeah, ha ha, we meet in the mornings. She leaves and retrieves her child just like any other. So awesome. I have sung for and met the royal family many times over the years, so there is nothing strange in that way.

A Danish royalty expert, Lars Hovbakke Sørensen have been asked to comment and he considers it unwise by Marie-Chantal, (and V&D as well if they have given their permission) since royals should be careful about advertizing for commercial products, especially among friends.
 
I don't know if is true but if it is so sure is not wise the future heir to the throne to promote design.
 
The same way many foreign and swedish clothing labels tell at their social media that Estelle wore their clothes. Or that Victoria or some other royal wore their clothes. As soon as they wear a clothing of some brand, and the brand finds out (often from some blog or magazine story) that the royals wear their clothes, the brand puts it to their social media. I think that people are wise enough to see that the photos have been taken from the royals work/holiday events, and the royals are not promoting anything.
 
Well finally someone who agrees with me that Vic should bust out more of the family jewels...

I've followed Marie Chantal on instagram for a while and I have to say it always make me uncomfortable to see her promoting Estelle wearing her designs. I can see why she would want to and, of course, its not as if other companies don't do the same with other royals but I think with MC its different because she is 'royal' herself and is a friend of V&D.
Also its hard for V&D to complain about other companies, e.g. the chinese building posted above, if they let a friend use pictures of Estelle.

Maybe Marie Chantal has permission? Senior royalty is a pretty closed and mostly related circle she might have dropped a line and Victoria was gone with it.And if Victoria gives her permission she evidently knows the situation better than us and does not see a problem, why should we?

I have to agree Muhler. It sets a really bad precedent. Any clothing that is "off the rack" no matter how expensive it is, finds it's way to countless blogs of who's wearing "who", such as "What Kate Wore" and "Swedish Royal Clothing ID", etc. The really bad ones, including the tabloids, tally the money spent. I must be weird, but I find the whole idea utterly distasteful.

But the fact remains, if a clothing designer has a website with costs included, it's all there. What I find utterly repellent about the situation with Marie Chantal is that she takes that information which is, admittedly, freely available and puts a photo of a royal child wearing something from her catalogue on her Instagram.

She is using Estelle to sell her clothing line and as far as I am concerned, that is a step too far. It is one thing to be photographed wearing an identifiable item of clothing and the setting is obviously not a photoshoot, so it's free publicity for the designer.

But Marie Chantel is exploiting her inside personal connections to flog clothing and making it look like Estelle is a model. I don't know whether V&D were approached, but Estelle certainly wasn't.

Victoria, Daniel and Estelle were chosen in the spring as one of the new faces to "Stockholm Hall of Fame" at the Arlanda Airport. There are photos of celebrities with a text "Welcome to my hometown".

Sweden won Italy at the under-21 European Football Championships. The italian press was of course not happy at all. But they praised the Swedes. It is made of etched and patinated copper, bronze and brass by artist Marie Louise Kold. And commissioned by HRH Prince Daniel.

The press releases and HQ photos can be downloaded here, the texts at the portrait include a paragraph from one of Karen Blixen’s short stories, and also an excerpt from Selma Lagerlöf’s "The Wonderful Adventures of Nils", where she describes the province of Östergötland, of which the Princess is the Duchess.

She tells that when Victoria and Daniel visited her studio on their visit to Malmö four years ago, they liked her art very much. And ever since there has been some talk about a commissioned work and after Estelle was born it was talked that she could be a motive to the work. She says that Victoria and Daniel have been busy and she has been busy but then Daniel called and they talked about how the portrait could be done and the size about the portrait. They got an agreement and after that Marie Louise has worked with the portrait together with her other works. She tells that the wishes were that the portrait would be made of more in warm, slightly muted tones. The portrait is made up of dark lines against a background made of copper. Marie Louise got some private photos of Estelle, of those she chose the photo that would be at the portrait. It took quite a long time to make the portrait. Because of the texts of Karen Blixen and Selma Lagerlöf and other stuff at the portrait, the princess has got a dynamic setting.

On her website she has information available about piece both in English and Swedish. She tells what the text says and how it was made. (I am on my phone and don't have the link here otherwise I would post it)
