The Board of the Swedish Crown Princess Couple's Foundation has decided to provide funding for eight projects. Grants are awarded to projects that counteract alienation and / or promote good health among children and adolescents in Sweden.
Applications for project grants were awarded after an extensive selection process. The Managing Director of the Foundation, Elin Annwall, tells that this year's application period ended on August 31 and the Foundation received 100 applications. All applications were reviewed by the fulfillment of a purpose- and tax requirements. This year's grants are given to six organizations that haven't previously received a grant from the Foundation, two organizations were awarded continued funding.
The Foundation hopes to give through project funds more children and young people in Sweden the opportunity to grow up to be confident and strong individuals that feel like a natural part of society, regardless of their background and circumstances.

She had a bad cold on Wednesday, so it is quite understandable that she wasn't working on Thursday. She has a meeting with the Kiribati's president on Monday, surely she wants to be able to attend at that.
