Victoria and Daniel visited on Tuesday Trygga Barnen, one of the organisations The Crown Princess Couple's Foundation supports.
From their Facebook: "Today we had the honor to receive the visit of the Crown Princess couple. We got the opportunity to tell them about our activities. The children from the spring activity group, 8-11 years, also had the opportunity to meet them and share what Trygga Barnen means to them, and they showed exercises we do in the group. Together with the Crown princess couple we made an emotional exercise where everyone gets to choose a respective sense that describes how you feel right now. The Crown Princess and Prince attended the exercise genuinely and responsively.
The children are amazing, what development they have done in the spring. They dared to be open and talk about why they go in a group with us, The Crown Princess and Prince got the children to feel safe and relaxed. Obviously, the children were also able to take a "selfie" together with Crown Princess and Prince, and even ask them questions. Examples of questions the children asked; "Is it fun to be royal?" Or "Who takes care of Estelle when you are here?".

From the website of the Crown Princess Couple's Foundation
Trygga Barnen is an organization that helps children, youth and family members in families with addiction.
The visit began with a tour at the premises and Agneta Trygg, founder of Trygga Barnen, told about operations in each room. The origins of the Foundation Trygga Barnen are that Agneta's husband was an alcoholic. Agneta realized that it is not only the alcoholic who needs help, but also the families and especially the children in these families.
When Agneta's daughter Olivia one day stood up in her class and told that she had a father with alcohol problems, she got immediately response. Many got in touch with her and it turned out that there were many more than you could imagine that had the same problem. In spring 2010, the work began to start the foundation Trygga Barnen.
Olivia with staff then presented the activities. More than 350 000 children in Sweden live in families where alcohol takes up too much space. The celebrations can be especially annoying if you grow up in a family with addiction. Therefore Trygga Barnen organizes an alternative to these celebrations a few days before the regular feast. Trygga Barnen are celebrating Safe Christmas, Safe Easter and Safe Midsummer.
The visit ended with the Crown Princess couple got to meet children aged 8-11 years who participated in Trygga Barnen's activity during the spring semester. The children talked about what they do in the Activity group and what Trygga Barnen means to them. The children showed one of the exercises as they usually do when they meet in the Activity Group. The exercise is called "Emotion Box" and the participants choose a feeling and tell why they have that feeling.

It is always great to hear about the Crown Princess Couple's foundations, especially when this involves kids... Victoria and Daniel are really good with children! Thanks LadyFinn, for providing pleasant articles like this one!

LadyFinn-Thanks for all the articles, photos and information. It really does give a nice perspective of just how busy Victoria and Daniel are. I was really impressed with Victoria's speech on the Baltic Sea. It's nice to see someone really championing environmental issues.

The Crown Princess Couple's Foundation supports Star for Life -program with giving grants.
On Thursday before their visit to AstraZeneca, Victoria and Daniel visited Öjersjö Brunn School in Partille to take part in the school's work with the Star for Life. The school is one of the pilot schools working since 2014 with the Star for Life's Swedish school program. Star for Life has developed a method to give students the mental exercise to strengthen their self-esteem, articulate their own visions and dreams and then constructively able to activate their drive.
Music teacher and the Star for Life coach Helena Wattström spoke about the work with Star for Life which is used in grades 8, 9, and special schools. The students showed their work in Drömböcker (Dream Books) and canvas.

Victoria and Daniel visited also in the end of their day Kodcentrum in Gothenburg, which they also support with their Foundation. Secretary General Emelie told about the business and how support from the Crown Princess Couple's Foundation is used to introduce as many children as possible into programming.
Two of the participants, Clara Tunney and Victor Lauden, showed some of their projects in Scratch, including a drawing program and a space game. Prince Daniel was especially curious to test the games and was interested to try to create his own games.
- This would be something for Estelle in the future, he commented.
They met also all children and volunteers in place. The Crown Princess couple praised Kodcentrum's volunteers for their commitment and the importance that they have to get kids interested in programming.
The day's theme was to play Robot Buddy. The Crown Princess Couple got along with kids to give commands to a human robot, Kodcentrum's teacher Lisa. By using commands such as "step forward", "turn left" or "turn right", the task was to guide the robot through a labyrinth. The kids also got to decide their own commands, such as "crawl under the table" and "say ouch". Prince Daniel chose that the robot should raise her hand and wave. The game offered many laughs and never seemed to end, especially as some of the children came to the command "go back to the start."

On Thursday Crown Princess Victoria and prince Daniel visited Öjersjö to take note of how secondary school pupils work on fundamental values through music project Star for Life. Music teacher Helena Wattström described together with the students how they cooperate with schools including South Africa, to increase both the Swedish and South African students' self-esteem.
The visit was surrounded by very hush hush at the Victoria and Daniel's explicit request - something that even the chefs at restaurant Marcos got experience. On Tuesday, they were approached by the City of Gothenburg, to cook Lebanese buffet for 16 people.
- We did not talk much about it. But it feels great, and a great honor, says Benjamin Jamin, who runs the restaurant.
Was it nervous to cook for royals?
- No, we are Syrians from Lebanon so this with Lebanese food is something we can do, says Benjamin, laughing.
Benjamin's mother Hatune Jamin, who also works at the restaurant, saw to it that the Marcos staff gave Crown Princess Victoria a gift.
- She got a rosary with a cross and an angel made of glass, because she is pregnant again and so.

The Crown Princess Couple's Foundation, Stiftelsen Läxhjälpen (Homework Foundation) and Samsung are now together in a pilot project to welcome the newly arrived refugee children to Sweden. The aim is to quickly introduce the newly arrived children in a regular school class and invite them to participate in the Stiftelsen Läxhjälpen's work. The pilot project will start in Husbygårdsskolan in Husby.
The school faces enormous challenges with newly arrived children. The Swedish National Agency for Education estimates that it now takes up to three to four years for a newly arrived pupil to get into a regular class. Therefore, Stiftelsen Läxhjälpen together with Samsung and Crown Princess Couple's Foundation started the pilot project "Welcome to Sweden". The aim is to effectively help the school to get the newly arrived children to start a regular school class and facilitate their integration.

This year's honey from the Crown Princess Couple's own garden next to Haga Palace is on sale at the Royal Gift Shops. Victoria and Daniel got 100000 bees as a wedding gift from the Swedish Beekeepers Association. Svenskt Sigill donated some years ago two additional communities to Victoria and Daniel, there are now around 200000 bees at Haga. The hives in the park are managed by bee expert Lotta Fabricius Kristiansen.
Victoria is an honorary member of The Swedish Beekeepers Association. Since Estelle is the Duchess of Östergötland, two of the queen bees are from there.
The net proceeds of the sale go to the Crown Princess Couple's Foundation.

Victoria and Daniel attended today at the first Board meeting of the Foundation this year. Sometimes the court publishes photos of those, in most cases not.

Victoria visited this evening Futebol dá força/IFK Tumba football club's practice for girls.
To promote girls' physical and mental health and the integration Futebol dá Força operates open soccer practice - Futebol Aberto - where girls in socio-economically disadvantaged areas can play football without any requirements. Participants don't have to pay a fee, register their presence, to belong to an association or have any equipment or prior knowledge of football to come and play with Futebol dá força's female leaders and football coaches. Futebol dá força's goal is to offer girls a safe meeting place and platform where they can develop as individuals and as a team, where they with a FDF coach's support improve their self-confidence and tools for how they can increase their future opportunities and realize their dreams.

It has nothing to do with Victoria.
Futebol dá força was founded in Mozambique in 2012 by Cecilia Andrén Nyström. After having coached girls in football in Sweden and seen the potential to use football as a tool to strengthen self-confidence, self-esteem and so much more, Cecilia was convinced that football can change the world. She went to the third poorest country in the world, Mozambique, simply to try if the idea could be put into practice. She started Futebol dá força, which means 'football gives strength'. ... After the success in Mozambique, Futebol dá força has been launched in Zambia, Sweden and Finland - an amazing development only three years from the start! 8000 girls today have something fun to do in their free time and have a meeting place where they can meet and talk with other girls and get a role model in their coach.

Yesterday H.R.H. the Crown Princess of Sweden visited one of our Futebol Aberto - open football - groups in Tumba, Sweden! The Crown Princess participated in the team gathering at the start of the training - when the coach and each team member checks in with the rest of the team, to let them know how her day has been and how she's doing - telling the eager girls' about how her day got off to an early start thanks to her young daughter waking her up!
The Crown Princess then cheered the girls on during the training exercises and chatted with them after the training was over. The girls - many of whom began to play football only one to two years ago - were overjoyed by the visit, which acknowledged the hard work, heart and soul that they and their amazing coach Melissa have put into building up their team, which will soon begin participating in organized football matches as part of the club IFK Tumba.
Futebol Aberto are open football trainings for girls, an initiative that we at Futebol dá força implement in partnership with the Swedish Crown Princess Couple's Foundation and together with football clubs throughout Sweden, in order to ensure that all girls have an equal opportunity to be part of a team, play football and get in touch with an inspiring young female leader and role model. Our biggest thanks goes out to H.R.H. the Crown Princess of Sweden and the Crown Princess Couple's Foundation for their wonderful support of our work to promote girls' empowerment, health and social inclusion all across Sweden!

The Crown Princess Couple's Foundation supports school project:
"Children are not born with prejudice" is a school project for almost 2200 young people and 300 teachers in Leksand, Gagnef, Rättvik and Malung-Sälen municipalities. The project is headed by Glada Hudik Theatre and aims to give our children good values by accepting and appreciating differences.
Children are not born with prejudice. They get them from us adults. One of society's most important tasks is to promote democracy, justice and respect for human equality. A dynamic and open-minded community welcomes diversity and differences. Integration is not that everyone should be equal. It is that we must accept and learn to appreciate that we are different. We who share these values must ask ourselves, how can we best transfer them to our children?

"That is why we must begin with the children to break the pattern - and it is urgent!", says Pär Johansson, initiator of the now world-famous Glada Hudik Theatre which has repeatedly shown that everyone is good at something and that "different" is an asset.

Glada Hudik Theatre is a municipal activity in accordance with the LSS (The Swedish Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional disabilities) a group consisting of both intellectually disabled and normally disabled actors. The mission is to offer everyone the opportunity to do what they are good at, to encourage development and create meaningful activities for people with intellectual disabilities.
Victoria and Daniel are honorary members of The Glada Hudik Theatre Supporter Club.

The Crown Princess Couple's Foundation and the Royal Court published yesterday a video, where Crown Princess Victoria talks about how the Crown Princess Couple's Foundation, by paying attention to the good initiatives can help to give children a positive belief in the future.
Victoria says among other things:
"Sweden is a fantastic country for many, but not for all. Social isolation and ill health are two major challenges. But there are driving forces around Sweden who are actively fighting for children to have the opportunity to grow up to safe and strong individuals. To give everyone the chance to reach their full potential. Those driving forces who do this with whole their heart, make the difference for thousands of children every day. More of those people are needed, so that they can reach more children. That is what we want to accomplish with our Foundation. We look after to that good initiatives are noted. We provide them with the resources so that they can develop their activities and we meet the children in order to give them the encouragement and listen to what they have to say. Their stories contain lots of joy and sometimes even a part of grief. But thanks to the support and encouragement from the enthusiasts the children's self-esteem strengthens and their stories get new direction, new strength and above all belief in the future".

At the video we see activities of the organizations the Foundation supports, and Victoria and Daniel visiting their activities.

Finally today the swedish press has noticed this video, over a month after it's release. First Svensk Damtidning wrote about it:
Ny film på kronprinsessparet – se den här _ Svensk Damtidning

And after that Expressen writes that Victoria is noticeably moved when she speaks at the film and tells of the Foundation and what she believes the foundation's work can lead to.
Här berörs kronprinsessan Victoria i nya egna filmen _ Nyheter _ Expressen
Translation

It is good that the press finally writes about the Foundation and it's work.
