Expressen writes about the visit. They will visit among others a refugee camp UN's help organisation UNRWA has for palestinian refugees. The staff of the camp school and others don't know who the "secret" guest is, only that it will be a VIP guest. The visit to a refugee camp is seen as a very positve thing in Jordan.
- What should I tell her? I wish that people help UNRWA, says the 10-year-old Palestinian boy Baha.
According to Expressen Victoria and Daniel will visit among other things
In Jordan
Dead Sea
The baptismal site of Jesus

Does the couple's program inclodes any meeting with the Jordanian Royal Family members?

The court updated the calendar today and according to it Daniel doesn't take part at the last day of the visit to Beirut, Victoria is listed to attend alone on Friday. Perhaps Daniel comes to Sweden before Victoria.

Prince Ali wasn't there to welcome Victoria and Daniel, tells Expressen at their article.

Erik Ullenhag, Sweden's ambassador to Jordan, received the princess and Prince Daniel at the airport.
- Jordan is close to Sweden on the international stage. We believe in the UN and on international cooperation, he states.
Victorias and Daniel's five-day trip to Jordan and Lebanon is primarily about showing support to the UN and to humanitarian efforts in the region.
- The visit of the crown princess couple is very important. It is a way to underline relations between Sweden and Jordan. We also have minister Hallengren at the visit, say Erik Ullenhag.
Jordan is one of the three neighboring countries - Lebanon and Turkey - to Syria, which received between 650,000 and 800,000 Syrian refugees during the bloody war. In Jordan, 2.2 million Palestinian refugees are dependent on UN assistance - mainly from UNRWA, which takes care of school issues, healthcare and waste management.
The US has withdrawn its share of the assistance of approximately $ 360 million this year to UNRWA. It caused a large deficit. Other countries, both in Europe, but also in the Arab world, pushed in and tried to cover the deficit. Still, about $ 70 million - about SEK 600 million - is missing in order to be able to handle the year's expenses.
At the Swedish ambassador's dinner, the Crown Princess and minister Hallengren sat with representatives from UN aid organizations. A clear mark from the Crown Princess and from Sweden about the support to UN's work. Even in Lebanon, the Crown Princess will meet UN people.
The Crown Princess went straight from the airport to Amman's famous citadel, which is about 3,000 years old. A Swedish-speaking guide told about the country's history - from the Ammonites until now.
The Crown Princess was very interested and asked many questions about the history of the citadel, consisting of different ruins from the Roman and Byzantine Empire.
It was planned that the king's brother Ali would receive the Crown Princess at the airport and also during the guided tour. But for an unknown reason, the prince could not come and instead sent Amman mayor Yousef Shawarbeh and city governor Saad Shihb.
- We and Jordan stand close to the international stage. We believe in international cooperation and on UN cooperation. Most recently, we have tried together to arrange for funding of UN UNRWA Aid for Palestinian Refugees, says Ambassador Erik Ullenhag.
On Tuesday, the Crown Princess will go a 5 mile stretch on one of the world's longest trails Jordan Trail. The trail is world famous and has become a symbol of Jordan's struggle for a better environment. Environment and animals are two questions close to the heart of Crown Princess Victoria.
But during the five-day visit that ends in Lebanon on Friday, the Crown Princess couple will also visit the Dead Sea, the babtism site of Jesus, Scandinavian Forest which King Carl Gustaf received as a gift at a state visit almost 30 years ago.

Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel are currently in Jordan on a five-day visit to Jordan and Lebanon.
Day two was packed with a walk on the Jordan trail, a visit to a Palestinian refugee camp and a visit to what is claimed to be the place where Jesus was baptized.
The day started early in the morning with a five-kilometer long walk along the 65-mile-long "Jordan Trail".
The group was lucky enough to get exemplary weather during the trip, and the Crown Princess was in a good mood.
- It's the first time I'm walking on this hiking trail, says Crown Princess Victoria.
Then Victoria and Daniel went on to the Dead Sea and the border between Israel and Jordan. There the Crown Princess met with various representatives from various environmental groups in Jordan, as well as the country's water minister who told us about water shortages in the area.
One also visited "Baptismal site of Jesus" - the place at the Jordan River where Jesus was alleged to have been baptized - where Victoria was reminded that her father, King Carl Gustaf, was baptized with the same water.
The Crown Princess couple also visited the Scandinavian forest - which King Carl Gustaf received a gift at a state visit almost 30 years ago - and a school in a Palestinian refugee camp near Amman, where they were welcomed with dance and song.
The evening Crown Princess Victoria will spend at the Swedish Embassy, where she will meet different guests from Jordan.
Tomorrow Victoria and Daniel continue to Lebanon.

Victoria dipped her hand in the water at Jesus' baptismal site
Crown Princess Victoria took part in a prayer and a guided tour in the area holy to Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
With great curiosity Crown Princess Victoria listens to the guides who tell us about the history of one of the world's most holy places, the baptismal site of Jesus by the eastern Jordan River. After the prayer and reading of Saint Francis's prayer, the Crown Princess couple took down to what UNESCO has now designated as the baptismal site, there have been discussions about the place on the east or west side of the Jordan River.
The Jordan River flows into the Dead Sea. The ocean can disappear within 25 years of fears of environmental experts. Crown Princess Victoria met with several representatives from various environmental organizations, one of them is Yana Abou Taleb, head of the Jordanian department of the EcoPeace Middle East organization.
- There are three countries that share the Jordan River waters: Israel, Jordan and Palestine. In the 60's, 1100 million cubic meters per year flowed. Now it's only 50 million cubic meters per year. There is a slight cooperation between countries to influence water shortages. The Crown Princess's visit is important because it recognizes our work, says Yana Abou Taleb.
The Crown Princess showed great interest in environmental issues, but also gave time for the spiritual. She lit light into the church, participated in the prayer and went down to the baptismal site and dipped her hand into the holy river.
Deacon Jonas Bodin reminded Victoria that her father King Carl Gustaf was baptized in water from the Jordan River.
In a chat with Expressen, the Crown Princess told that she had visited the place earlier and about the feeling of being there.
- It's very special. It is very special historically and important place for very many.
Is it important?
- It feels that very special to be here. I must definitely say that. There is so much history. The Crown Princess also responded to the question of whether she had been in the place earlier.
- Yes, I've been here. Even so important then, says the Crown Princess and laughs.
The Crown Princess Couple, Sweden's Ambassador to Jordan Erik Ullenhag and minister Lena Hallengren participated in all program points. They got up early and participated in a five-kilometer walk on the world's longest hiking trail, Jordan Trail. The trail is 650 kilometers long and runs through about 50 villages.

The second day started with hiking on the Jordan trail. Then the Crown Princess and the minister visited Jordan River's delta at the Dead Sea where the EcoPeace organization reported about its activities.
The morning was completed at Jesus' Baptismal site on the Jordan River's beach.
In the Scandinavian forest, the Crown Princess couple and minister met Prince Ra'ad bin Zeid and Princess Majda, as well as the Swedish Embassy staff
In the refugee camp Al Baq'a, the Crown Princess and the minister visited a school where they met students and teachers.

Svensk Damtidning's reporter tells that at the reception on Tuesday evening were invited young entrepreneurs and female role models. The ambassador praised Victoria and Daniel at his speech.
The reporter tells that Victoria greeted her gladly at the Jordan Trail: How fun that you are here! Victoria said that to hike is a very good way to get to know the country, in a little different way.
Daniel met a shepherd with 150 sheep. They didn't have a common language but the meeting was nice.'
And that tea on one of the Jordanian hills tasted delicious. It was served as usual in small glass cups and was very sweet, with taste of sage and mint.
At Jesus Baptismal site Victoria told that they got water from there as a wedding gift. They had lunch at the Scandinavian forest and met prince Raad and princess Majda (who once was Margaretha from Södertälje), who told that she has lived in Jordan for 55 years. She met Raad in London in 1962 and they got married in Sweden the next year. She told that her friends still call her Maggan.
At Baqaa refugee camp there are 100 000 refugees. Victoria and Daniel were welcomed to the School with a dance and the children told about their dreams.

The Crown Princess's alarm at the visit: "The situation is acute"
The schedule has been packed for Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, who are in Jordan together with minister Lena Hallengren.
The Crown Princess has met with representatives of UN aid organizations and made several visits to learn more about the country's challenges.
- It has been an intensive program but very fun. I've experienced a lot, says Victoria.
She is ambassador to the UN's global goals and has had a special commitment to water issues. In place, she has met an organization that is working on this, where Palestinians, Israelis and Jordanians cooperate.
- Water shortage is one of the biggest issues in the region and the situation is acute, they have no water. This cooperation is very important, they can not solve the task themselves because they are dependent on the same water. In the Dead Sea, the water level drops one meter a year, it's huge. It's a challenge and it will not be resolved unless we cooperate, says the Crown Princess.
It is not the first time that Crown Princess Victoria visits Jordan, but the surrounding areas have changed since the visit in 2011. There are infected wars in the region, the Palestinian-Israeli peace process is dead and millions of refugees live in uncertainty.
In Jordan, 2.2 million Palestinians flee and Victoria has visited a school in a Palestinian refugee camp during her stay.
- It was extremely powerful to get to school yesterday. Education is one of the most important things we can do, making it possible for children to get the best conditions to possibly influence their lives. Especially when you are in such an extreme situation in a camp that you can feel that you develop and learn and you have a confidence in the future, she says.
Now it's time to go to Lebanon and it is the first time the Crown Princess visits the country. There she will meet, among other things, the Lebanese president and prime minister.
The Crown Princess looks forward to the visit.
- It's an important trip for me, to get an even better understanding of the complexities in the region. It's so complicated. You live in Sweden and try to read, but only when you are in place and talk to people you start to really understand. I am here to learn, but also to show Sweden's support and commitment to the issues that the program concerns.
What interests you with the region?
- I am very interested in other places in the world, cultures, people, countries. I love traveling, it's the most effective and amazing way to learn. To meet people and get personal stories. The complexity of the region is interesting. Worried in many ways, but we must learn and try to understand, says Crown Princess Victoria.

Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel on the Jordan Trail.
Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel are visiting Jordan and Lebanon.
The Crown Princess couple arrived in Amman, Jordan together with minister Lena Hallengren.
They visited the citadel of Amman, which is located on the highest of Amman's classic seven hills and consists of ancient ruins from, among others, the Roman Temple of Hercules.
On Monday the Crown Princess couple and Lena Hallengren were invited to a dinner reception that Sweden's Ambassador Erik Ullenhag held for various UN organizations, operating in Jordan.
On Tuesday it was time for the Crown Princess to replace the high-heeled pumps against hiking boots.
The Crown Princess couple and the minister walked five kilometers along the 65-mile Jordan Trail. The route extends from Umm Qais on the Syrian Lebanese border to the Red Sea.
While the Crown Princess was able to take advantage of the wide view of the sloping mountains and valleys, she gained information about how different organizations work to protect the surrounding environment.
Also visits to the Dead Sea, the Jesus' Baptismal Site and the Scandinavian forest of Jesus were planned. Today, the Crown Princess and the Government go on to Lebanon and its capital, Beirut.
The purpose of official visits to Jordan and Lebanon is to strengthen the good relations between Sweden and the two countries. But also to raise the UN's sustainable development goals in Agenda 2030 focusing on gender equality, climate and humanitarian issues.

The Crown Princess's meeting with three of the leaders in the Middle East
AMMAN / BEIRUT. Crown Princess Victoria meets three key leaders in the Middle East on one and the same day. Jordan's king Abdullah, Lebanese President Michel Aoun and Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri.
But it's the children she's most touched. She visited both refugee camps and a center for disabled children.
- It has been an intensive program but very fun, says the Crown Princess to Expressen.
Nadia gets support from her physiotherapist to stand on her legs and communicate with the Crown Princess couple Victoria and Daniel who are sitting opposite her.
The 8-year-old girl laughs and knows that they are guests at the Center for Disabled, Al-Hussein Society. It is the second most important point in the Crown Princess's full-fledged program in Jordan. The last point was kept secret in the last. Namely the meeting with King Abdullah and Queen Rania.
- Can you take one step? Prince Daniel wondered and looked at Nadia. She does it. And even takes three steps. It gives the Crown Princess the opportunity to applaud while praising Nadia's strength.
Nadia was one of many disabled children that the Crown Princess couple met. They have also visited Palestinian refugee camp al-Baqaa outside Amman.
The Crown Princess tells her impressions when she visited school in the Palestinian camp.
- It was extremely strong to get to school yesterday. Education is one of the most important things we can do, making it possible for children to get the best conditions to possibly influence their lives. Especially when you are in such an extreme situation in a camp that you can feel that you develop and learn and you have a confidence in the future, she says.
The schedule has been packed for Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel. The Crown Princess has met with representatives of UN aid organizations and made several visits to learn more about the country's challenges.
Environment and animals are two questions which are close to the heart of the Crown Princess. Victoria is ambassador to the UN's global goals and has been particularly committed to water issues. On-site at the Dead Sea, she met representatives of an environmental organization and the minister of water in Jordan.
Shortly after 17:00 on Wednesday, the Crown Princess couple arrived in Beirut and went straight to the city of Baabda where the Presidential Palace is located. For half an hour, the Crown Princess sat with president Michel Aoun. At the president's official twitter account, an article was posted on the visit: "We appreciate Sweden's efforts for sustainable development and to help people."
It is the first time the Crown Princess visits the country. There she also met Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri.

Victoria's tears after a visit to a refugee camp
Victoria and Daniel visited Burj-Al-Barajneh refugee camp. No one know how many palestinians live there, maybe even 40 000. There is local security staff and Säpo-guards around the visitors. Victoria and Daniel are guided by Claudio Cordone from UNRWA. Victoria is very touched about the visit.
- Of course we have heard and read a lot about these kind of refugee camps, but it becomes reality when you are here yourself. That's why this visit is so important, that you can understand. You understand the situation of these people and that they feel they have no hope, when they live here for generations and want nothing but to give a better future to their children.
Victoria said that the situation is difficult, but there are some good things like the schools. It is so important that the schools are supported.
Outside the Al-Yarmouk School four girls start to sing the Swedish National Anthem in swedish. And Victoria gets tears to her eyes.

Victoria and Daniel at the dinner hosted by ambassador Jörgen Lindström at the residence this evening.
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DpzqOXRWkAEhXfe.jpg

Victoria said today at her speech at Multi-Stakeholder SDG Forum in Grand Sérail among other things:
Prince Daniel and I arrived in Lebanon only yesterday. But we are already impressed by the beauty of your country and by your warm hospitality. (...)
Like many of you, I grew up by the sea. My sea is the Baltic – an inland sea about one seventh the size of the Mediterranean. Some of my fondest childhood memories are from there.
I remember how my father would take me fishing. We would sit there in our small boat, on the glittering sea, catching one fish after another.
Today, if I take my children fishing, I'm not sure we'll catch anything at all. Of the world's ten largest areas of dead seabed, seven are located in the Baltic Sea. My sea. (...)
A few weeks ago, I visited New York in connection with the opening of the UN General Assembly. There, together with the other advocates, I met with UN Secretary-General António Guterres.
The Secretary-General's message was clear: in many areas of the 2030 Agenda, progress is being made. But in others, progress is much too slow to meet the Agenda's goals and targets by the deadline just twelve years away.
Just a few examples from the 2018 Sustainable Development Goals report:
Nine out of ten people living in cities breathe polluted air.
The number of undernourished people rose from 777 million in 2015 to 815 million in 2016. (...)
Ladies and gentlemen: The clock is ticking!
Let there be no doubt: the situation is serious - even alarming. But it is not hopeless.
Achieving the 2030 Agenda is difficult, but not impossible.
And the time to act is now - not later.
Prime Minister Hariri: I welcome Lebanon's determination to implement the 2030 Agenda, and I wish you the best of luck with this important task!
And please, remember: goals don't change the world - people do. You do.

Crown Princess Victorias tears after the children's gesture
Crown Princess Victoria wiped a few emotional tears after visiting the Palestinian refugee camp in Beirut.
Three girls wearing Swedish blue-yellow traditional costumes had learned the Swedish national anthem and welcomed the Crown Princess with "Du gamla du fria".
- How nice. Thank you very much, said the crown princess and folded joyful years.
Several armed guards from Palestinian groups are stuck with their automatic weapons at the refugee camp in the southern suburbs. They know that Sweden's Crown Princess couple, as well as minister Lena Hallengren and a Swedish delegation visit the camp.
Guards get directions to be vigilant. Nothing shall go wrong.
The misery in the camp is significant. At least 5 people have died here recently because of electric shocks.
- You see how the power cables hang along the walls, says a man when the Crown Princess couple gets into the small alleys of the camp.
At least 25,000 Palestinians and several thousand Syrian refugees live in the camp founded in 1948. The Crown Princess looks curiously at the houses and on the people. She asks UN staff how people live here - how they get water, electricity and how they deal with waste disposal.
An elderly lady is able to penetrate the guard and comes face to face with the crown princess. She speaks Arabic and aa UN official interprets a part of what she says. Her name is Fatima al-Ali.
- I have my roots in Kuwaykat village in Palestine, but I don't remember when we fled from Palestine to Lebanon. I was little. We fled to southern Lebanon and then we ended up here. I grew up here in the camp, says the 69-year-old lady when Expressen meets her and tells what she wanted to say to the Crown Princess:
- What I wanted to say to the Crown Princess is that I, my widowed daughter and her four children, live in this simple room. My daughter's husband died on cancer two years ago. My daughter worked as a cleaning worker at a UNRWA office but she was fired. Now we have no one who provides us, says Fatima, crying.
Fatima emphasizes that she did not get past the guards to beg for money. All she wanted was to tell the Crown Princess about how she lives.
- I felt she's a nice person and has a good heart. I saw it in her eyes. That's why I dared take me all the way to her, says Fatima.
Her daughter Layla Mackieh sits next to her mother and adds:
- We have no future here. But, now we live for the day. All I want is to have a job to support my children and nothing else, Layla says.
At UNRWA's girls school they were welcomed by a group of girls dressed in Swedish traditional clothes singing "Du gamla du fria". Before Victoria thanks the girls, some emotional tears fall.
- We have memorized the national anthem in three days. We don't speak Swedish and have never been in Sweden. Our teacher downloaded the National Anthem and we learned the words out there. But, we understand what that means, says Hala Snoubar who sang the national anthem.
Crown Princess Victoria spoke at the stage at the Grand Serail to over 1500 participants in the Multi-Stakeholder SDG Forum conference. There she told about her childhood when she went fishing on the Baltic Sea together with her father King Carl Gustaf - and highlighted the environmental problems.
The Crown Princess also received a guided tour of Beirut Souqs. The guide was no less than Prime Minister Saad Hariri.
- Both of them promised me to come back as tourists, said prime minister Hariri.
