Crown Princess Victoria celebrates her 39th birthday 14 July is Crown Princess Victoria's 39th birthday. Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, Duchess of Västergötland ( born 14 July 1977), is the eldest child and heir apparent of King Carl Gustaf. If she ascends to the throne as expected, she will be Sweden's fourth queen regnant and the first since 1720. Crown Princess Victoria will be congratulated at Solliden Palace on Öland at 2pm. Messages of congratulations can be sent to The Crown Princess via the Royal Court's Facebook Page or using the Royal Court website Message Form. Happy 39th Birthday, Crown Princess Victoria!

The king said in his speech that there are so much people that they can't greet and talk with everyone. Expressen's fashion expert hailed everyone's outfits, Victoria's summery dress and Estelle's lovely dress, and especially Daniel's clothes, the jacket combined with those pants and Daniel has always a great fit in his clothes. Queen Silvia looks good in colours.

Estelle is very helpful, she takes flowers and presents and takes them further to court staff.

Victoria got a spettekaka, she gets it every year. But this year there was also two small cakes for her children. I think she gets more flowers and presents than ever before. And as for security, there is at least five bodyguards around the royals all the time.
Lindwall asked from Daniel about the celebration. Daniel told that they had had cake, he had sang to Victoria, willingly but not so well.

It was so lovely to see them as a family of four! Oscar couldn't be cuter!

On a side note, I didn't like how the King refused to take his grandson in his arms... I know that it wasn't intentional but he was supposed to take him only for a couple of minutes.

We know his as a chauvinist ... dealing with kids are women's job.

This is the kind of titles that is constant gaffes cause. I almost feel sorry for him.
 
it was really awkward , he could have simply taken him from her and give him to his father . if the crown princess didn't laugh that would have been more awkward and embarrassing :whistling:

In response to the King not taking Oscar- It looked like he started to take him and then Oscar either made a noise or gave him a face and he backed away. Most likely they knew it was near Oscar's naptime and he only wanted to be held by his parents. Best to keep a tired baby happy!
 
Could Victoria and Daniels children be any cuter??? Oscar is Estelle's clone, he looks exactly like her, its amazing how much they look alike. He seems like a very calm baby, just like his sister.
I don't think the Kings reaction was anything other then maybe Oscar had a "dirty" diaper because he initially went to take him, then when he got closer, put up his hands. Victoria's laugh was so spontaneous, not like she was covering anything or was offended he didn't take Oscar.

The dress looks much shorter on Adeline than on Victoria. Either Adeline is much taller than Victoria or it is not Victoria's dress. And Victoria had a much longer underskirt on her dress.

I think CG is of the generation of Men's men who are not used to deal with very little children. I'm not condemning him for it, for example my father (who would be 10 years older though as CG) would never have dreamt about being present at the birth of his children (he went to work and got a phone call) or changing a diaper. It may sound strange to many of the younger generation but back then it was normal.

i understand that but she did struggle holding him with one hand it would have been very normal if he just handed him to prince daniel or queen silvia .

I guess Chris struggles to understand what is going on... It was great to see that Estelle was there, even though I think she is still too young to attend.
