Victoria and Daniel's wedding song was beautiful. I teared up.
 
Victoria is a popular person in Denmark and she and her family are usually well covered here and gets good press.

Svensk Damtidning's reporter spoke with Victoria and Daniel at the Solliden garden. Victoria told that Daniel and Estelle sang for her in the morning. Daniel told that Estelle loves to play at the sandbox, she and Leonore are playing so well together when they are digging in the sand. When the whole family wants to do something together, it is often time for barbecue. Their pool will not be finished this summer, so Estelle has something to wait for next summer. And she has a lot to do with her cousins, the sandbox and the dogs.
The reporter also writes that Daniel and Chris are really good friends, they were joking together a lot at the Borgholm sports arena.

Not surprising given that they're out in the middle of the crowd and that during Victoria's lifetime Sweden has had both a Prime minister and a Foreign secretary murdered on the street.
 
I didn't know things were that violent in Sweden. Considering that, I'm surprised that the Royal Couple (Carl Gustaf & Silvia) and the Crown Princess Couple are the only ones in the SRF that have security. Even Estelle has a security detail. Daniel has a bodyguard when he goes golfing. The rest of the family are on their own.
 
Sadly we live in a dangerous world. I believe Sweden actually has a very low crime rate but it only takes one person...
 
A silly question: On her birthday, Victoria wears a necklace of colored beads. Is there a significance to this necklace? She seems to have worn it for several years now.
 
^^^ Not a silly question at all. I've wondered the same thing too. Uh, isn't it something related to kids? During her birthdays, I've seen kids giving her gifts such as earrings, bracelets and necklaces made of colored beads.

You are correct. Children will often give her "jewelry" they have made and the CP often will wear the pieces during the time she greets the birthday visitors.

From court website, with a new photo taken by Kate Gabor, it's taken at the same time than the photos for Estelle's birthday. The birthday will be celebrated with an official flag day and a salute from Skeppsholmen. People can congratulate Victoria at Facebook or by sending a greeting at the court website.

The municipal commissioner of Borgholm, Ilko Corkovic says that he is very grateful that the Crown Princess still wants to celebrate her birthday with them. This year's celebrations are particularly special for Öland as it celebrates the 200th anniversary of the City of Borgholm.
- Öland will be seen on TV at the prime time and the celebration attracts visitors from all over the country. I'm so proud that I invited commissioners from other municipalities in Sweden to brag a little, Corkovic laughs.
Victoriadagen is also important for the local economy.
- On Tuesday, I met an entrepreneur who has already begun to run out of products, who said "here are so much people, I thought they wouldn't come until tomorrow".
SMHI meteorologist Marcus Sjöstedt says that the weather forecast for the day looks quite promising. The temperature will be around 20 degrees and during the morning it can be quite sunny.
- But in the afternoon there will be more clouds and some rain can come in the evening. One should bring an umbrella just in case, says Sjöstedt.
- Ticket sales have so far been successful and if the weather is fine, we hope for upwards of 10,000 visitors, which would be a record, says Corkovic.

Tre Kronor (swedish national ice hockey team) star goalie Henrik "Henke" Lundqvist will be a key player during the World Cup in Canada in September. On Thursday he receives the Victoria Scholarship from Crown Princess Victoria.
The NHL star is hailed by the hockey stars who have received the award.
- We are not so many hockey players who have won the award over the years, so Henke becomes a member of an exclusive club. Very well deserved, says Peter Forsberg. "Foppa" got in 1994 the Victoria Scholarship for Tre Kronor Olympic gold in Lillehammer that year. Last hockey players to get the scholarship were twins Daniel and Henrik Sedin in 2011 when they took the Vancouver Canucks to the finals of the Stanley Cup.
Just like Foppa the Sedins praise the choice of the jury this year.
- It was very big for us to get the Victoria Scholarship and now a great honor for Henrik Lundqvist. It is a proof of all he has done and that he might be the world's best at his position, says Henrik Sedin.
Daniel Sedin salutes also Henke.
- Victoria Scholarship is great to have. When we were there at the event and you could see all the names that had received the scholarship before, you become proud. The list includes many major sports personalities.
Henrik Lundqvist thus becomes the fifth hockey star to get Victoria Scholarship since the award was instituted in 1979.
Foppa, who is good friends with Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, sees Henrik Lundqvist more as a world goalie in NHL.
- Henke is an incredible ambassador for Sweden and has enormous status abroad. He really deserves this award.

- No, we are not many hockey players on the list. And it tends to be the same thing at the Sports Gala, which is why it is so fun that Henke gets the scholarship this year, says Foppa.

Victoria Scholarship winner Henrik Lundqvist told to Johan T Lindwall, that he is in Öland for the first time in his life. He is of course very honoured to get the scholarship. He met Victoria and Daniel at their Villa Skönvik in Solliden earlier today. The meeting was very nice and great to Lundqvist's daughter, she loves princesses. To meet real princesses was great for her. She and Estelle played well together. Lundqvist has also a present for Victoria, the scholarship winners usually give a present for Victoria.

Lindwall says that he has never seen so much people in Solliden. He thinks that they have come to see prince Oscar too, see his debut at Victoriadagen.
