Princess Victoria & Prince Daniel's Official Visit to Finland: November 1-2, 2010

Well, the only downside was that she wasnt looking into the camera like Daniel did in that picture. One other thing that struck me when i looked at that picture that i hadnt thought of before was that she looked extremly like her mother at the same age.

Did you shout at damtidningens cameraman or how did you manage to get him to look straight at you?

Well done! You got some wonderful photos - thank you for letting us see them

Thanks everyone, I'm happy you liked the photos. I continue today my paparazzi career here in Helsinki. Let's see what comes out. Thumbs up!

Here you can follow today straight broadcast of the future seminar that Victoria opens in the afternoon in Hanaholmen Swedish-Finnish culture center. I'm not sure but I think I read from somewhere that it starts at 14:00 pm Finnish time ( UTC/GMT +2 hours) If someone knows better, correct me.

I am happy of this picture especially: Victoria & Daniel in Helsinki | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

Victoria had a speech to Helsinki people from the balcony. First she said "Dear Helsingborg people" (it's a town in Sweden), then she laughed for her mistake and said: "Classical..." and continued: "Dear Helsingfors people" (the name of Helsinki in Swedish).

I'm happy how many people came to greet Victoria and Daniel. I read that in Lahti there was approximately 3000 people and in Helsinki 7000-8000 people greeting them. I wonder if that would happen in other countries? How many people there was in France or China when they were there?

PS. I'm happy you liked my pictures! I'm surprised how well they came out, because I'm not any professional photographer and I'm using automatic digital camera (which anyway has 18 x optical zoom).

It is nice to see Daniel looking more relaxed and smiling. He is definitely becoming more comfortable in his new role.

I wonder why PPE keeps referring to him as "Prince Daniel Westling". That is incorrect, or technically partially incorrect. I believe the Swedish royal site refers to him as "Prince Daniel Olof Westling Bernadotte".

Jennie, Expressen wrote that Victoria became nervous after she said the wrong city, was that anything you noticed? According to the same newspaper there was a assasinationthreat to the couple

She continues to reuse dresses, same blue dress as in Örebro

I didn't notice that she was nervous. She laughed and said "...en klassiker." And continued like nothing happened. :)

There was a message sent to the media that "someone knows about a planned murder", but came out that this message was sent by a person who lives in somekind of nursing home (obviously he has some mental problems?). The Police said the threat was not real.

Thank you all for showing these beautiful pictures from Victoria and Daniel !!!

I keep wondering about the same thing, he should be refered to as "Prince Daniel", they also refer to Victoria as "Princess Victoria" instead of "Crown Princess Victoria".

Thank you for your pictures, Jenni. They are great. I was surprised about the amount of people that were waiting for them in both Lahti and Helsinki. They must be really popular in Finland.

Maybe this is the same picture agency that kept calling Prince Daniel just "Daniel Westling" a long time after he already was a prince. :ermm: I don't remember which one it was, but I remember that it was irritating.

Thanks again! Let's see when is my next chance to take photos like these.

"Everyone talks about Daniel-effect"
Elina Schuller, editor of finnish Iltalehti, tells that Madeleine was the big favourite in Finland before. Everyone was extremely interested in her. Now after the wedding, and when Daniel came into the family it is only Victoria and him that are interesting. There have been many, many pages of Victoria and Daniel before the visit and during it.

Victoria and Daniel were in a hurry leaving the hotel and going to the airport. They left a bit before 10 and the flight had to leave at 10:25 to Kittilä (Lapland) but it left 20 minutes late. From Kittilä they continue to the Northern Sweden.

Thank you for all the great pictures. I knew that Victoria is a hard working princess but the speed that she and Daniel take with all their official engagements is highly respectable.

Are they carrying laptops with them all the time?
