Looking forward to news and pictures of the two. :flowers:

Svensk Damtidning tells on this week's issue about Estelle:
When Estelle recently left a restaurant in Stockholm with her family, the surprised dinner guests heard how she naturally thanked the butler for the dinner. And then added:
- It tasted good, tell that to the chef!

Time, but also a feeling for the nature, Victoria answered once when she was asked what she wants to give to her children. And she seems to have succeeded. Do you know what Estelle wanted as a Christmas present? A liana! According information given to Svensk Damtidning there is now a liana at the backside of Haga Palace, close to the lawn where the family's sheep are. So when Estelle isn't spending time with the sheep, she can swing at her liana like a royal mini-Tarzan.

Liana as in a climbing vine??? Definitely an unique gift for a 3 year old at the time to ask for. Seems Vic has her wish :flowers:

Until I saw her with the sheep in her recent picture, I never realized they have them. Have there always been sheep at Haga, like when CG was a kid, or is this something new? Are they the couple's sheep?

They definitely are raising a spirited but still well mannered little girl :)

Yes, there were a large amount of sheep at the Haga Palace already when the king and his sisters lived there.
At the documentary "Haga Palace - A Royal Home" made in 2013 we could see about 10 sheep at the Haga Palace Park in the summer 2013.

I think that the sheep are part of "The King's Sheep", which take care of Djurgården's open landscape, the sheep are at Haga Palace Park only during the summers.

"The park’s sheep are known as ‘the king’s sheep’. For over a hundred years, the tradition of the king’s sheep has existed to maintain the open landscape on Djurgården. Their night-time transit through the city to their grazing ground was previously a great event. Nowadays they are to be seen mainly around Stora and Lilla Skuggan. The Royal Djurgården Administration, who care for a large portion of the Royal National City Park rents them nowadays from private owners".
Meadows and pastures

I am sorry but they rent sheep  Just seems bizarrely funny to me  I would think they have land enough, why would they not just own their own??? I would think if it meant that much to continue the tradition instead of mowing, they would just own some sheep.

"The King's sheep" has been the public's informal name for the sheep that grazed in Drottningholm, in the Haga Park on Djurgården in Stockholm, but none of these have ever been owned by the king.
The first herd of sheep called the King's sheep were under King Gustaf V's reign in 1924 purchased by the Royal Board of Public Building (a swedish government agency), a herd of sheep that was held in Dragon stables at Drottningholm years 1924-1954.
The flock that 1939-1991 was owned by the City of Stockholm's sheep herd was also known as "The King's sheep" though they were owned by Stockholmers themselves.

Aw, that's a cute anecdote from little Estelle, and I agree, quite a specific present! I can just picture her climbing from it, haha. She's such a sweet little girl and seems to have a fun and enthusiastic personality too.

I love the little story about Estelle in the restaurant. What a polite little lady :D. I also think that it's great that she asked for a climbing vine, instead of some electronic gadget. The vine will keep her interested in going to play outside, I stepdad of making sitting on the couch more appealing. Victoria and Daniel are certainly on the right track as parents.

Johanna Engberg started her children's clothing boutique By Engberg in February 2012, at the same month Estelle was born. She told some weeks ago to Svensk Damtidning that she has sold 36000 "Estelle bows" until now.
Engberg sells among others clothes from Marie-Chantal, Charabia and Pili Carrera. Soon she starts also to sell clothes from Nanos. And as soon as Estelle wears something, people come to her shop asking if she has those on sale.

Svensk Damtidning has an article about Estelle's "secret, common" life.
Victoria and Daniel are namely anxious that their daughter is not only raised in the royal world, but she will also get the opportunity to be like any other four year old anywhere. And she should know what life is like outside the protective fence home at Haga.
The one who most often takes care that this happens, who brings their daughter to the library, Kolmården and pizzeria - it's Prince Daniel. Not so surprising, of course. He is brought up in a terraced house in Ockelbo and knows just how Estelle would have lived if she had not been the heir to the throne - but a regular four year old.
Daniel took Estelle to open preschool in Solna. Then it was not long before he was a regular visitor there.
- Daniel was actually like any other dad any time. He fed Estelle with banana, and comforted her when she crashed. And he talked with us!, told one of the fathers.
Once a week, Estelle is taken to Danderyd. It's time for this week's Knatteskutt! There, she goes around with a bunch of other kids between 3 and 7 years and tries different dance styles and sports. Daniel loves to pick Estelle up from her preschool on Fridays and take Estelle to Kulturhuset. There, they spend a few hours at the cozy Room for Children. Daniel and Estelle read books, peddle and paint. Daniel has also taken Estelle to metro so that she knows what her friends are talking about.
In June Daniel took Estelle to Kolmården, and right after Oscar was born, they were seen at Italian restaurant Ciao Ciao Grande eating pizza.
With Victoria Estelle was at a boat trip to Utö in May and Estelle got pancakes. Victoria, Oscar and Estelle were also seen in Ulriksdal Garden Cafe.

Expressen tells that Estelle has a new passion: Ballet!
At least once a week she goes on the dance school Base23 in Östermalm to learn the dance's basic steps, always escorted by Victoria or Daniel.
Princess Estelle loves to move in all its forms and prince Daniel told in Almedalen this summer that daughter Estelle "likes to dance":
- She likes to move. In preschool, they move almost the entire day. They are outdoors almost all the time. We like to be out in the woods, like making activities. It is a lot of tobogganing in winter.
Estelle's interest in dance has become so great that she has for some time gone to one of Sweden's most prestigious dance schools - Base23, founded by Dancer of the Court Anneli Alhanko, one of Sweden's greatest ballerinas.
Estelle takes part in the dance school course "BaseKids," a course for students aged three to ten years.
"The children will learn choreography and be part of creating dances in a playful way. Our teachers inspire students to find their dancing pleasure and help them practice their motor skills. That students get the best out of dance classes, all groups are created by age and knowledge", writes Base23 about Estelle's dance course.
Estelle has been able to choose between several different courses. There are children's dance, preparatory ballet, preparatory ShowJazz, hip hop and Michael Jackson.
Reportedly, Estelle tried several dances, but the ballet has captured the princess's interest.
Margareta Thorgren, the director of the press department:
- There is nothing we are aware of or would comment.
Eva Johnson, the headmaster of Base23 and multiple champion in Latin American dance says to Expressen:
- We never comment on who attend at our courses.

Svensk Damtidning tells about Estelle's dance school course "BaseKids" at Base23. The lessons are from 40 to 90 minutes. 14 lessons cost from 2700 to 3500 SEK.
One parent, whose child dances at the school says to Svensk Damtidning, that Base23 is a very good dance school. The classes are organized very pedagogically and filled with dancing pleasure. Princess Estelle surely thrives over there.

I want to eat those cheeks! Oscar looks adorable, and I cannot get enough of his grumpy faces...

He looks just like Estelle.
Glad they shared a photo

He really looks like Estelle who looks like her mother !!!! Beautiful children !

Svensk Damtidning at their article about how the royal children start learning languages as very young. Victoria and Daniel hired english speaking nanny Katie Millington for Estelle and she has been with Estelle since she was 1,5 years old, and teaches Estelle english. Victoria and Daniel try in every day life do some nice exercises, for instance when Victoria and Estelle were in April shopping in ICA Borgholm, Victoria put carrots to the basket and Estelle counted in english "One, two, three..."
Information officer Ulrika Näsholm from the court said to Svensk Damtidning, that Estelle can already speak and understand quite a lot of english, but she shall learn it even better. The crown princess couple thinks it is useful that Estelle understands and learns english already at an early age.

Estelle has changed preschool from Äventyret in Danderyd to Montessori preschool Lilla Kvikkjokk at Djurgården, tells Hänt. It is an economic association in which parents are co-owners and the staff responsible for the daily operations and education. The operations of all children are divided into five different units. In addition to the daily Montessori work in two classrooms, which also includes gatherings and music, the children in smaller groups are active in the three other units:
- Kitchen (cooking, table setting, baking, etc.)
- Studio (Art and art history, as well as hobby craft and mini handicraft)
- Outdoor (play, nature reconnaissance and excursions)
- It is true that Princess Estelle has changed preschool. The crown princess family was very satisfied with Princess Estelle's former preschool. Probably the change of preschool is made for logistical reasons. We ask the media to continue to show respect towards Princess Estelle and the Crown Princess couple, and other children attending the preschool and their families, says information officer Ulrika Näsholm from the court.

Does school/1st grade start at 6 grades in Sweden? Does that mean that Estelle will start in 2018?

Montessori preschool? It's the 'Prince George effect' :p

Montessori preschool? It's the 'Prince George effect' :p

my thoughts too. ;)

don't CP and sofia live in djurgården? maybe they also plan to send alexander there? (i was thinking maybe they can pick estelle up from school if needed, like most parents would think if they are running late out of work - but then forgot that victoria and daniel probably have an army of nannies to pick the kids up in the case of any eventualities :p)

Alexander and Oscar have a few years yet before preschool becomes a question. And Estelle will have moved on. I am not sure Alexander would be a consideration. Estelle had two nannies, not sure if her and Oscar share nannies or if he has his own.
