Lovely photos of Estelle and Oscar. They seem to be close siblings which is wonderful to see. Oscar has grown up a lot, he looks very cool!
 
I love the way Estelle acts like a little mother and Oscar accepts it as his due. It is very much like Christian and Isabella when they are that age. Very sweet and loving.
 
Last year, several applications were directed against Estelle's school, Campus Manilla at Royal Djurgården in Stockholm, but now the school is being freed after new checks.
According to Skolinspektionens (the Swedish School Inspectorate) document on 10th May, all deficiencies have now been fixed and further write: "The School Inspectorate hereby concludes the supervision of the deficiencies that are considered to be remedied".

Estelle's first school year ended today and it was time for the spring ceremony. Daniel attended the ceremony, but Margareta Thorgren told to Svensk Damtidning that Victoria couldn't attend, she had work duties.

And back home at Haga Palace, a surprise awaited Estelle!
Mommy Victoria and little brother Oscar greeted Estelle and Prince Daniel with a lovely celebration. It was a royal party, albeit on a small scale, in order to peacefully celebrate Estelle's first hours during her very first summer holiday!
That this little party took place is confirmed by the court.
- Princess Estelle's first summer holiday day was celebrated at Haga Palace, Margareta Thorgren told to Svensk Damtidning.
In the park at Haga Palace, Mommy Victoria usually presents cookies and cinnamon buns. Estelle often has several friends at home and they hang out in the playhouse and swing. They like to find a number of games and at the Palace park there are a lot of hiding places if they play hide and seek.

Oscar is growing on me, I'm starting to like seeing him. Especially when he smiles, then he has something.
 
Such gorgeous photos! A nice surprise to wake up to. Lina Broström seems to be a very talented photographer and captures all the right moments. I'd love to visit the Swedish countryside during the summer (I've been in winter, which was equally beautiful) as it seems stunning.
 
Prince Oscar, duke of Skåne visited on Monday his christening present, which he got from the Skåne County, Prins Oscars Naturlek at Söderåsen National Park. Oscar was at the park with his parents.

On Monday, June 17, Prince Oscar, the Duke of Skåne, visited Skäralid in Söderåsen National park in Skåne together with the Crown Princess and Prince Daniel.
In place, Prince Oscar visited the playground that after the Prince's christening was built in his name.
The playground has been open to the National Park's visitors since Easter.
Prince Oscar's Nature Playground consists of a path with tools, stations and obstacles. There visitors can, among other things, go through a tunnel, balance on ropes, jump on stumps in the form of mushrooms and swing in a lian. At the end of the trail there is a seven meter high slide.
In addition to the play function, the facility should be a tool for educators at Naturum Söderåsen. New educational elements will be added continuously.
The playground is built by the County Administrative Board in Skåne County, with support from private individuals, companies and some municipalities in the province
During the visit, Prince Oscar also walked part of a trail that goes around the Skärdammen. There, he and his parents were looking for grass snakes and watched ducks and whooper swans.

Margareta Thorgren said to Expressen that Oscar inaugurated his christening present on Monday and the family wanted also visit Norrviken Gardens when they now were in Skåne.
- Are we going to say hello to the birds? They are very nice! says Crown Princess Victoria on a movie released by the royal family.
Apparently Prince Oscar thought it seemed like a funny idea.

I loved the video the SRF shared on Instagram - Oscar seemed to be really enjoying himself and this is a great way to introduce him to engagements. He seems to be very curious and interested in his surroundings.
 
I love number 9 with Estelle in a beautiful white dress standing between her parents and holding each parent's hand. The expression on her face is utterly priceless. Caught in mid eye-roll I can't help wondering what she is thinking. Perhaps "oh please . . . like I'm going to get lost"? ?
 
Years go terribly fast as a toddler parent. Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel can attest this. It feels like yesterday when Princess Estelle, 7, started school at Campus Manilla but already in a couple of weeks it is time for school start again for the princess.
And soon it's time for Prince Oscar, 3. He has a couple of years left before it's time, but children's schooling is important for all parents and if you happen to be royal, there are even more parameters to consider.
It is about purely safety issues but also about the environment, the other students, the teachers and a lot of other questions.
It is not certain that Prince Oscar will follow Estelle in the footsteps and start at Manilla. Victoria herself and her siblings had a varying character in their respective school years. For example, Prince Carl Philip was the only of the royal children who attended the Lundsberg boarding school
- What is best for Estelle may not be best for Oscar. They are two very different individuals with very different prospects. Estelle is a future regent and you might think differently here. It is a difficult dilemma, says a source at the court to Hänt.

There are no equivalent to the Norland School in Sweden.
It's said that the SRF go by recommendations from both friends of the family or already employed nannies. Madeleine chose to employ the daughter of one of her own childhood nannies. A few, nanny of two generations Elisabeth Zimmetman included, have belonged to the same Pentacoastal congregation. I've read that atleast Queen Silvia and Crown Princess Victoria prefer girls with a religious background.
When Victoria and Daniel were looking to employ English speaking nannies they anonymously advertised through the Eden Nannies Maternity agency in London. The applicants didn't know who they were until quite lite in the recruitment process.
 
Welcome to showing of the Nature Playground on Söderåsen
On August 15, there will be a showing of the playground on Söderåsen, which prince Oscar got as his christening gift. The showing is for those who donated money to the playground and Governor Anneli Hulthén will attend.
Prince Oscar, who is Duke of Skåne, was in attendance earlier this year and inaugurated the playground. It has been named ”Prins Oscars naturlek” (Prince Oscar's Nature Play) and could be made thanks to generous donations from companies, Skåne municipalities and private individuals. The construction took place in parallel with the establishment of a new waterway for fish to pass through the dam in Skäralid, a stream which was also incorporated as a water part in the playground.
Now, the County Administrative Board of Skåne would like to thank the generous contributions by inviting all donors to a display of the playground.
The showing starts at 13.30 in Söderåsen National Park.

Such a sweet photo! Estelle is a lovely little girl and here she reminds me somewhat of her aunt Madeleine, too.
 
Author Malin Edgren sent one of her books to Estelle in the spring.
"Our lovely princess Estelle got the poem collection Rimlikt of Selmas Ettlingar as a gift from Karlstad just before the school closing. Today mom crown princess Victoria answers and thanks for the gift! To all 54 Ettlingar who were included and authored; I hope you know how proud you should be of all the work we did together during your first school year! Now even the royal family reads your poems! In September 2018, author Malin Edgren from Karlstad started the media-highlighted children's book project Selmas Ettlingar to promote children's joy of reading. Together with all 54 pupils in compulsory school year 1 at a school in Karlstad, she carried out activities throughout the academic year 2018/19 to increase interest in books and reading. An important part of this unique project focuses on children's storytelling and creative writing. The project was completed in May 2019 with the publication of the book Rimlikt with the children's texts on rhyme about the twelve months of the year, illustrated by the author.
Selmas Ettlingar is an example of how a project to promote reading pleasure can be run as a collaboration between cultural players and the education system.

Same nose, almost the same eyes. Sure, they look like siblings, Oscar and Estelle - but they are also their own little people.
When Prince Oscar was really small, he was a fascinatingly cute replica of his big sister Estelle of the same age. As soon as you saw them together, someone said, "Well look what they are alike!"
But now Oscar has turned three and Princess Estelle has started her first class at school.
So how is the situation today? Are they alike or not?
Of course they are. Look at the eyes, look at the nose, and at the finely drawn eyebrows.
But in the way they have developed into their own small personalities.
Estelle had already completed her first own princess assignment at the age of just two and stood perky in the square in Linköping, taking all aunts and uncles in hand. Not to mention all those royal family celebrations where she sat like a little light in her tiny royal gold chair.
Prince Oscar seems so far to be somewhat more hesitant to the royal spotlight, he simply gives the impression of being a slightly more shy in the crowds compared to Princess Estelle of the same age.
But at home he is as spirited as his big sister, just think of this wonderful movie clip that Victoria and Daniel posted on Instagram. There Oscar comes hailing in Haga Park and yells “Plastic in nature!” So ​​energetic that you melt directly.
And give him a football and you see a professional mini prince! Oscar simply has the royal family's sharp right foot, while Princess Estelle sings in a choir and hangs in the stable with her pony Viktor.
They are also two very ordinary children - at the same time as sharing one of the most unusual roles in this world: to have a mother who will become queen and to have their professional career already decided at maternity. Nice that they can share this with each other!

At grandmother Silvia and grandmother Ewa: Estelle's two worlds
Queen Silvia. And Ewa Westling. Two very different ladies - but they have one important thing in common: grandchildren Oscar, 3, and Estelle, 7.
And there are two different worlds that meet the Haga children when they visit their grandmothers.
Grandma Silvia at Drottningholm has 192 rooms and kitchen. And own pool!
And then Queen Silvia walks around with jelly raspberries in her pocket, a given success of her grandchildren.
- Grandma knows all the tricks in the world, Estelle said in her little Christmas movie from last year.
Although she works very much, and has to book the grandchildren time in her calendar. And it is not like that with Grandma Ewa in Ockelbo.
There, Estelle and Oscar can hang in the kitchen, Ewa Westling is like the typical bun grandmother, you know the one who is always ready with freshly baked cinnamon rolls and open arms.
Besides, she has plenty of time for her grandchildren, since she retired from her job at Postgirot Bank many years ago now.
But that Ewa has a granddaughter who will become queen in Sweden one beautiful day, that is not noticeable. She has never been at all dazzled by the royal gloss, and she and Olle live in the same house and the same life they have always done.

The press on Estelle - after the king's drastic decision
Following the King's decision to exclude Carl Philip and Madeleine's children from the royal house, the press on Crown Princess Victoria and Daniel has increased. Previously, both the prince couple and the princess couple have been there to share responsibility for the royal house in the future, but since the king now chose to focus only on the crown princess family, the workload will be considerably greater for Victoria - and in the long run also for Princess Estelle.
Unlike her cousins, who have now been freed from the duties they would otherwise have had and can now seek employment and educate themselves on what they want, Estelle will have a much stricter schedule. And since the court no longer has so many to choose from when the crown princess needs a substitute, the young princess will have a heavy workload - even if it is further ahead. Then not only is Estelle expected to represent the royal house, but she is also trained as queen.
The Queen School has started quite early for Estelle, as she has for several years accompanied her parents as they work. Both Victoria and Daniel think, like the royal couple, that a good way to learn the job is to be with and watch.

Daniel shows the reality to Estelle and Oscar
Both Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel are eager for Estelle and Oscar to grow as normal as possible. So don't be surprised if Daniel and Estelle slip into the local pizzeria every now and then!
A princess and a prince, but also like any siblings. Estelle, age 7, and Oscar, age 3, really have a foot in two different worlds. On the one hand, they spend time at grand Drottningholm Palace with grandfather and grandmother, accompany mum and dad on royal assignments and are photographed all the time when they are in public places.
On the other hand, they are two kids who go to school and pre-school and are romping around with their friends.
Victoria knows what it's like to grow up in the spotlight while Daniel has instead grown up completely anonymously in Ockelbo. Using their different angles, the Crown Princess couple has really found a good balance for the children. When the cameras go out, Prince Daniel takes every opportunity he can to show Estelle and Oscar the world outside the protected fence at Haga. He often takes the children to the library, to a pizzeria, to the park or Kolmården.
When Estelle was smaller, they also went to Knatteskutt once a week and were frequent visitors to the open preschool in Solna. Several times Daniel has also taken Princess Estelle down to the metro, so that she will know what her friends are talking about.
The occasions that Estelle and Oscar really can be like any child, it is at the home of the grandmother and grandfather in Ockelbo. There, the Crown Princess family may be left alone when they slip into the nearest grocery store to buy popcorn for the Friday night.

A life in the royal spotlight but with more choices than Princess Estelle. So Oscar's future life will be according to the King's new regulations.
Prince Oscar turned three years on March 2 and is still a little interrogative about the royal spotlight. Big sister Estelle is a royal professional, since many, years and knows exactly when it is time to smile for the photographers. But she will also become queen one day. The focus of the Little Prince will never be as great as that of Princess Estelle.
But how will life really be for Victoria's and Daniel's boy?
Yes, one that is certain in any case that the choices will be significantly greater for Prince Oscar. But he does not get it as freely as his cousins. While Madeleine's and Carl Philip's children have lost their HRH titles (and thus should be considered private individuals), Oscar is number three in the line to the Swedish throne, after mother Victoria and big sister Estelle. Carl Philip has been both the military prince, the design prince and the motor prince. Areas that he is interested in on a personal level - and which he has also chosen to draw public attention to.
And just like his uncle, Oscar will also be able to explore different areas to find his heart issues. The road is not as shaped for him - as for Princess Estelle.

Prince Oscar's relationship with grandmother Ewa Westling
Prince Oscar is Grandma Ewa's little boy. They really have a unique relationship and a lot is probably about the little prince reminding so much of Daniel.
Prince Oscar is a cautious guy with a lot of integrity. He loves to play football but is always a little cautious when it comes to new situations and people. Just like Dad Daniel was at that age.
Oscar is very happy in Grandma Ewa's company. She has the safe arms and gentle voice that fits the prince perfectly. Maybe she knows exactly what Oscar needs just because he reminds so much of little Daniel.
Daniel also grew up as a little brother to a certain big sister and just like Oscar looks up to Estelle, Daniel looked up to Anna Westling during her childhood in Ockelbo. In other words, the siblings at Haga have a relationship that Ewa recognizes from their own years as a toddler parent.
Oscar certainly he has been attending royal celebrations, such as Victoriadagen and Crown Princess's 40th birthday, but he is not as used to the royal spotlight as Estelle. The princess is very spirited in this context. She waves, smiles and moves very accustomed in front of the cameras.
When the Crown Princess family greets in Ockelbo, however, there are no curious people to relate to. At Grandma Ewa and Grandpa Olle, the grandchildren can play without anyone taking pictures, which is probably why the Little Prince is so happy in the red house on Smältvägen. There he has to have his parents - and Grandma Ewa - for himself.
The relationship with Grandma Silvia is also good, but of course she has a completely different pace. In addition, the Crown Princess family rarely sleeps over at Drottningholm Palace (it only takes 19 minutes by car to Haga) and therefore the social gathering becomes something different in Ockelbo. When Estelle and Oscar visit Ockelbo, they often stay a long weekend and the little prince gets to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner at Grandma Ewa's side.
