Thanks, LadyFinn.
Phew! That's a pretty heavy schedule. Daniel is in the deep end here.
I see Madeleine is there too on a couple of occasions. I wonder why they are not using her more, since she's at hand, so to speak.
- And with all due respect for Daniel, she's prettier than he is.

Well, they do all seem to be subject Daniel is specifically interested in.

With all due respect for Madeleine, when they need pretty face she'll be there. Otherwise Daniel can obviously handle it by himself.
I see this US visit as, as we say, "baptism of fire" for him. Crossing my fingers for him that it all goes well.

I don't get what a pretty face has to do with anything, it isn't a fashion shoot. It makes sense for her to join Daniel for the gala dinner so he has a partner, but I found it odd that she tagged along with her parents at the gala dinner, I know its convenient that she lives in New York now but she looked out of place (no one else brought their children). I hope they don't have her accompanying Daniel too much, I'm looking forward to see how how well he does on his own.

Well, our times are very much about looks and appearances,it´s really sad that intelligence, humour and talent are less appreciated than a well-proportioned body and fashionable clothes...
Anyway, Prince Daniel looks very smart and businesslike & I am sure he will manage to stand on his own feet and leave a good impression in Washington!
It is good to see him doing a project without his wife,he can support her so that she has less work to do and if he is doing it well I am sure it will boost his confidence :-)

I believe Muhler was making a light-hearted joke about Madeleine being prettier than Daniel, so don't take offence.
I agree Daniel looks smart in his suits, he has such an early-60s presense about him that I love. And don't worry blauerengel intelligence, humour and talent are definitely appreciated!

I was. - Well, she is the prettiest of the two. At least in my eyes...
But this however is serious:
It's a sad fact that princesses attract more attention and get more press, than princes, no matter the cause or the work he puts in.
Without Victoria around (or Madeleine) Daniel will get less attention - certainly outside Sweden.

Haha,I´m not easily offended but I was just generally speaking...
& Btw I also think Princess Madeleine is the prettiest princess in the Swedish Royal family,I was so happy when I saw her in Salzburg
Prince Daniel looks so serious and smart in front of the White House and his glasses are really nerdy, they would make everyone look intellectual :-) He is doing well so far,I also wish to see a video of him speaking.... I am sure he speaks English very well because in Sweden most of the tv program is in English and so people learn it without much effort and usually have a good pronounciation.

Hoping that this solo visit goes well for Prince Daniel. I'm sorry that Victoria cannot accompany him, but she has two to think about now.

About Daniel´s day yesterday:
The day began with a seminar entitled "Providers Partnering with Patients" at the House of Sweden together with the minister of Health and Social Affairs, Göran Hägglund.
In the afternoon he attended at a lecture and seminar on lobbying. The host was a Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce, SAAC. Daniel also heard about SAAC's work in the U.S., both in Washington DC and elsewhere in the country.
In the evening a dinner at the residence with representatives from think tanks and the universityworld, where the theme was social media.

Lars Weinehall, Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology. Head of the Epidemiology and Global Health at Umeå University writes in his blog about Daniel´s speech and comments yesterday at the seminar:
Prince Daniel's presentations and comments impressed. Well-informed, knowledgeable and committed about prevention initiatives that may have important implications for future health work. Not least around he thought about the health of children and the parents' role. He also reflected insightfully about the difference between words and actions, both at societal and individual level. About a plan to provide improved conditions to the health. It will be interesting to follow how Prince Daniel takes advantage of his potentially unique role in forming public opinion about the preventive measures in future years.

Today Daniel and minister Hägglund, with D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray and ambassador Jonas Hafstrom participate in "Nordic Food Days." at the Miner Elementary School, 601 15th Street NE. And in the evening there will be a reception at Norwegian Ambassador's residence.
