As always a big thanks to LadyFinn.
I think the work Daniel is quietly doing is very underrated and doesn't get the attention, let alone the appreciation, it deserves.
I don't think that Daniel's work is nowadays underrated and he doesn't do it quietly, although the court, sadly though, doesn't always publish photos of his meetings. Of course, the dresses and hairdos of the royal women get a lot of coverage at the media, but Daniel's work gets long and matter-of-fact articles.
After Daniel started in 2013 Prince Daniel's Fellowship Entrepreneurial program and Prince Daniel's Race and Sports Day, his work has been covered very well in the media. He has been interviewed in long interviews on TV before the Sports Day, the Sports Day has been shown in the news, and on his visits to schools all over Sweden, the local newspapers cover the visit very well, often with live broadcasts. Daniel is also on those visits interviewed to TV and/or Radio on every visit. Also Johan T Lindwall from Expressen has been with Daniel on many visits and written rather good articles of them. Now when Lindwall starts as editor-in-chief of Svensk Damtidning, it will be interesting to see if he continues to cover up royal events himself.
And about Daniel's work, in July when he and Victoria started GEN-PEP, which Daniel launched in Almedalen, he was interviewed to a large amount of newspapers, TV and radio. His interview was shown at a broadcast of the Olympic Games. The press has written about GEN-PEP a lot, mostly of Daniel's work, because Victoria has so far been only in the background.
Nowadays Daniel is the member of the royal family who is interviewed in the media most. And what I especially respect in him, is that he meets young people at these school visits and really talks with them, at every school visit 30 students talk with Daniel and the inspirators at round table discussions, so today Daniel talked with 60 new young people for a longer time than just said Hello, listened their ideas about entrepreneurship and gave them advice.
Daniel was interviewed at Sveriges Radio P4 Skaraborg today, he talked about how he can inspire young children. He said once again that he believes in good examples. He and the Royal Academy of Engineering Sciences have taken many experienced entrepreneurs to the project, they can be role models and inspire young people. If someone is interested in technique, then one is more interested in a technique entrepreneur. If one is interested in training and health, perhaps one can get inspired by a former gym owner. It's not that everyone should be an entrepreneur and start a business, but if one wants, one should dare to try.
