Lukacevic has got a scholarship from King Carl Gustaf's Young Leadership Foundation in 2008. He has also attended at a seminar organized by the Crown Princess Couple's Foundation.

Daniel met on Thursday professor Mai-Lis Hellénius from Karolinska Institutet and professor David Dunstan from Baker IDI Heart & Diabetes Institute.
Professor Hellénius is doing a scientific assessment of the work of En Frisk Generation Foundation. Daniel is the co-founder and patron of En Frisk Generation Foundation which was founded on the idea of that good eating habits and physical activity are essential for good health. The evaluation started last autumn and lasts four years. Professor Hellénius is also a member of the Expert Council of the Crown Princess Couple’s Foundation.
Associate Professor David Dunstan is Head of the Physical Activity laboratory at the Baker IDI Heart and Diabetes Institute in Melbourne and is an Australian Research Council Future Fellow. His research focuses on the role of physical activity and sedentary behaviour in the prevention and management of chronic diseases. He has held lectures of for instance "Sitting - a modern health threat" (which is something Daniel often speaks about).
The court tells at their Facebook that Daniel and the professors talked about the latest research on sedentary. Professor Dunstan is one of the world's leading researchers in the field of physical activity, sedentary and health. His research group was the first to show that short interruptions during the long-term sedentary, in the form of stand up and stretch your legs can have major effects on health and well being.

Daniel attended on Friday at a seminar organized by Studieförbundet Näringsliv och Samhälle (the Centre for Business and Policy Studies). The topic of the seminar was the UK's forthcoming referendum on the agreement with the EU.
The speakers at the seminar were Nicola Clase, Ambassador at the Swedish Embassy in London, and Andreas Hatzigeorgiou, chief economist at the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce.

The court updated the calendar today. Daniel makes a three day entrepreneurial trip to Germany on 11-13 April with Prince Daniel's Fellowship and its entrepreneurial programme. Two first days they will be in Berlin and the last day in Munich.

Radio Sweden Östergötland's reporter interviewed Daniel. Daniel said that he was employed, but he wanted to do more. He wanted to serve his clients better and with better quality equipment. When one starts a business, one should try to make a better one than those which already exist. The reporter says that she talked with the students, they were so inspired and happy that you and the entrepreneurs came here and told about entrepreneurship. But everything is not smelling of roses, tell about that. Daniel said that to be an entrepreneur is that you are willing to take risks, and everything doesn't go perfectly for the first time. The surroundings expect that it is either a success or a fiasco. But it isn't so easy. Like when you learn to cycle, you don't have the best balance in the beginning and you may fall. And it is like that with entrepreneurship also, anything isn't easy. The first day for you at the radio wasn't super easy? No, it wasn't, the reporter says. Your role as a prince, what advantage you have in it because you have been an entrepreneur? Daniel says, that this initiative, prince Daniel Fellowship, is a consequence that he has been an entrepreneur, is used to start and drive things, and is dedicated to things he wants to change or make better.

It was an energetic and good conversation between Daniel, the entrepreneurs and Kungsgård Students who got the chance to ask questions of the four.
- There is of course a major focus on the prince today but we are very proud of that these business leaders come just to us. It is important to have role models and I am one of them to have lunch with Prince Daniel and it will of course also be great fun, said Madelén Gideonsson, student of Economics.
After the round-table discussions in smaller groups Kungsgårdgymnasiet thanked the entrepreneurs and Daniel each with their own umbrella with the school logo. Prince Daniel also received two secret bags to the two youngest at home at Haga Palace.

Prince Daniel opens children's book exhibition in Berlin
Prince Daniel likes to read to his children. So, on his visit to Berlin on this Monday he is well prepared: In the evening he opens at the Swedish Embassy the interactive children's book exhibition "Frech, wild und wunderbar".
The Royal obligations take the prince for two days to Berlin and on Wednesday to Munich. It is all about his program to promote and inspire young entrepreneurs, Prince Daniel Fellowship. The children's book exhibition is his only public event on the trip to Germany.

The world of Swedish children’s books - an interactive family exhibition (for children from 3 to 10 years)
Astrid Lindgren gave with Pippi Longstocking once the starting signal for a new, modern view for children, their needs and their rights. Since then, many characters and stories in Swedish children’s books have been loved and read around the world. Some of them will be presented in this exhibition.
In the interactive exhibition are presented nine designed book scenes known Swedish stories and children's book figures of Pija Lindenbaum, Barbro Lindgren, Sven Nordqvist, Ulf Nilsson, Jujja Wieslander, Martin Widmark, Stina Wirsén and Pernilla Stalfelt. And there are a whole series of new literary friends to discover, among other things Astrid from Maria Jonsson.
In addition to the books, the well-known Swedish library concept Rum för barn (room for children) is presented. It is an award-winning library concept of the Stockholm Culture House Kulturhuset Stadsteatern. Room for children includes a children's library and a painting workshop for children aged 0-10 years. There parents and their children can experience something together: read a book, paint, sing, or listen to a fairy tale. The stated aim is to arouse curiosity and desire in children to tell, to books, pictures and music. The Convention on the Rights of the Child is the foundation of the work. They anchored the child's right to a cultural life, to be allowed to express themselves and with others.

Prince Daniel's Fellowship visits Germany
The Royal Academy of Engineering Sciences' project Prince Daniel's Fellowship organizes on 11-13 April its first international entrepreneurial trip. The destination is Berlin and Munich where a delegation of Swedish entrepreneurs and business leaders will meet German colleagues to exchange experiences on entrepreneurship opportunities in Germany.
The delegation is headed by Marcus Wallenberg, the chairman of the project's steering group. Prince Daniel participates as the project's honorary chairman.
The delegation lands in Berlin on April 11. Prince Daniel inaugurates children's book exhibition "Frech, wild & wunderbar - schwedische Kinderbuchwelten". This is followed by a dinner with Ambassador Lars Danielsson as host. During two intense days the delegation visits companies and institutions in Berlin and Munich.
Tuesday consists of visits in Berlin at Technology Park Adlershof, Telekom Innovation Laboratories (T-Labs) and Soundcloud. The dinner is organized by the Volkswagen Group. On Wednesday the trip goes to Munich where the delegation visits UnternehmerTUM, Siemens and BMW.
Project leader Johan Weigelt says: The project arranges this trip because we want to give the contractors involved in the project, either as inspirational mentors or mentees in our mentoring program, a chance to build networks and create understanding for the German market. We will visit many interesting settings in Germany, and with the Prince's attendance contacts at a very high and exciting level are ensured.

This would be the first trip abroad alone, (a solo engagement) for Daniel, right? I'm sure he will handle that well.
 
He went to the US alone back in 2011 IIRC. I remember Madeleine being his escort to an event in NY. I am not sure if he has taken any other trips abroad without his wife.

Daniel visited the Swedish Export Council in London on 16th-17th February, 2011.
Daniel attended at the International Puijo Symposium in Kuopio, Finland, on 29th June, 2011.
Daniel visited USA, mostly Washington and New York in October-November 2011. Madeleine attended with Daniel at two events of Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce (Madeleine is the patron of it), otherwise Daniel travelled alone. He had work events on seven days. Daniel gave two speeches in english at the trip.
Daniel attended at the Paralympic Games in London on 3rd-4th September, 2012.
Daniel visited EU institutions in Brussels, Belgium on 9th April, 2013.
Daniel visited Moscow, Russia, on 14th-15th August 2013. He inaugurated the Sweden Russia Business Forum with a speech in english. He attended also at the World Championships in Athletics.
Daniel made a one day visit to Åland, Finland on 10th October, 2013.

I remember the exhilarated feeling when the book of the month came home in the mail. I remember how my sister and I nagged mom and dad to read to us. I remember the feeling to share an adventure. How imagination went away. How curiosity took off. The world became larger and suddenly was in front of us.
But. It is only now I understand how much the books, the stories and the pictures meant to me. Without them it would not have been as obvious to continue reading, pick up a book for a moment of entertainment, to seek knowledge or for that matter, to read to my own children... To see the curiosity in my daughter's eyes when a new word appears - "What is this?" or when a new animal or figure is depicted - "What is this?".

Johan T Lindwall is in Germany and he interviewed Daniel yesterday evening. Daniel said that people have done an enormous effort for children's literature. He is there to promote, he has met a lot of children, some authors and inaugurated the exhibition. And he is in Germany with Prince Daniel's Fellowship, there are 35-40 people from Sweden with him to learn about entrepreneuship and industry in Germany.

Four years old Pontus wasn't at the exhibition just to look at it, he met also prince Daniel. He gave Daniel a blue-white fanpackage of Hertha BSC (Hertha Berliner Sport-Club, a football club) with a body suit, a rattle and a beanie for his recently born son Oscar. "It was good", said Pontus afterwards.
Pontus has been a Member at Hertha BSC since his birth and great friend of Sweden. He has travelled with his parents to the north and has next to the love of Hertha BSC also the affection to the Scandinavian country. "Pontus was very happy to be able to shake hands with prince Daniel", says his proud father Martin, a long-standing employee of Hertha BSC. "That was a great moment for him".
There has been a contact between Hertha BSC and the Swedish royal house since 2002, when Crown Princess Victoria within her internship at the Swedish export council attended at a match between Hertha BSC and Bayer Leverkusen as a guest. The Crown Princess raved then her beautiful stay in the olympic stadium, since then there has been regular correspondence.

Daniel and the group of Prince Daniel's Fellowship Entrepreneurial Trip arrived to Munich in the morning. At first they visited UnternehmerTUM.
Susanne Klatten, Associate and Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of UnternehmerTUM GmbH and Helmut Schönenberger, CEO and co-founder, welcomed the delegation of outstanding Swedish entrepreneurs in the Entrepreneurship Center in Garching:

Exciting meetings of Prince Daniel's Fellowship in Berlin and Munich
Prince Daniel and a delegation of nearly 40 entrepreneurs and business leaders visited Berlin and Munich to get a deeper knowledge of the German market. With a focus on the startup scene in Berlin, the delegation visited Technologiepark Adlershof where they had conversations in small groups with German colleagues. Then the journey continued to the German Council on Foreign Relations, where Dr. Arend Oetker welcomed and talked about their experiences during a long life as Mittelstand entrepreneurs. In the afternoon they visited T-Labs where four startups got the chance to talk about their business. SoundCloud invited to its creative and exciting office for a quick sightseeing and the evening ended on DRIVE, Volkswagen Group Forum, where beautiful cars were exhibited and Dr. Harald Ludanek invited to dinner as a representative of VW's management.
In the early Wednesday morning the delegation arrived to Munich where there is a round table discussion with startups at UnternehmerTUM. Before the day ends, also Siemens and BMW are visited.

I think that the entrepreneurs and business people at this trip got great contacts, for instance Susanne Klatten is the richest woman in Germany, 38th richest person in the world and a woman with a lot of influence.

Daniel met on Thursday at the Royal Palace David Polfeldt. Polfeldt started a year ago initiative Good Malmö, which plan was to give 150 new jobs for young people who are socially isolated and outside the labor market. Good Malmö is industry's initiative to do Malmö to an even better city. They want to open the doors to those who remain outside the labor market. They do so by that each participating company gives a job for one young person for one year.

Polfeldt was one of the speakers at the King's Young Leadership Foundation's seminar yesterday afternoon.
 
The court updated yesterday to their calendar that Daniel attended on Monday at the meeting of En Frisk Generation. Daniel is the co-founder and patron of En Frisk Generation Foundation which was founded on the idea of that good eating habits and physical activity are essential for good health.

Today Daniel met professor Mai-Lis Hellénius from Karolinska Institutet. Professor Hellénius is doing a scientific assessment of the work of En Frisk Generation Foundation. The evaluation started last autumn and lasts four years. Professor Hellénius is also a member of the Expert Council of the Crown Princess Couple’s Foundation.

After that Daniel met docent Örjan Ekblom from The Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences. Ekblom studies how physical activity, the sedentary and the condition can affect a person's physical and mental health. This is done both in epidemiological and experimental studies with young people, adults and older people. In some of the studies they are particularly interested in how physical activity can be used as the treatment of disease and in other studies the focus is towards the preventive effect.

According to the calendar Daniel had work events on Monday and today:
On Monday afternoon Daniel attended at the meeting of the steering group for Prince Daniel's Fellowship and its entrepreneurial programme. This year is still a school visit to Malmö schools on 3rd May, in the autumn three more school visit days are planned and in November is the prince Daniel's Entrepreneurial Day.

On Tuesday Daniel met Michael Thorén, ceo of En Svensk Klassiker ("A Swedish Classic").
Ever since 1971, completion of En Svensk Klassiker ("A Swedish Classic") has been the crowning achievement for many fitness enthusiasts. To qualify for the diploma, one must finish a Swedish classic event in each of the four disciplines (skiing, running, swimming, cycling) within the space of twelve months:
One of the ski competitions: Engelbrektsloppet, 60 km, or Vasaloppet, 90 km * The bicycle race Vätternrundan, 300 km * The swimming competition Vansbrosimningen, 3 km * The footrace Lidingöloppet, 30 km
After completing the four races, the person is entitled to a numbered diploma.
Daniel is the patron of En Svensk Klassiker, and signs the diplomas. En Svensk Klassiker started today their own TV-channel.

According to the calendar Daniel met on Wednesday secretary general Karin Nolke Grubbström and development manager Nina Forsberg from Friskis och Svettis. Friskis och Svettis is a non-profit Swedish keep-fit organisation with more than 500,000 members across Europe. Friskis och Svettis is a sports association with an unusual goal within the sporting world. There is no finishing tape to break, no net to place the ball in and no competitors to beat. Their goal is to make a person smile while exercising. All leaders, instructors and functionaries work as volunteers.
The Crown Princess Couple's Foundation has supported Friskis och Svettis.

Daniel inaugurated this morning "Future Focus: Exponential Technologies" in Nasdaq Stockholm (Stockholm Stock Exchange).
The moderator introduced Daniel:
"I'm so honored to have one of our greatest inspirators, role models in and entrepreneurship and innovation with us today. It is a tremendous honor to welcome His Royal Highness, Prince Daniel, to say a few words and help open this amazing program"
Daniel held a 7.30 minutes speech in english, without notes.

On Thursday Prince Daniel attended at Future Focus: Exponential Technologies, a training day on the Nasdaq for 100 leaders from some of Sweden's most future-oriented companies.
Prince Daniel held a keynote speech and said: "We have seen that in Sweden good ideas grow into major innovations, and I do not think it's just a coincidence that Sweden is one of the world's leading countries for new technological innovations, or that Sweden is the country with most music hits per capita".
During the day spoke, among others, Anders Sandberg, a researcher at the Future of Humanity Institute at the University of Oxford, Andrew Fursman, founder of 1Qbit, and Robin Teigland, a professor at the Stockholm School of Economics.

The more I read/see/hear about Prince Daniel, the more and more I really do adore him. Many years ago when he and Victoria were dating, I really couldn't put my finger on why she was drawn to him. He just looked unpolished and not very intellectual. I thought he was just some "gym rat". But over the years, especially since their marriage, I have come to admire Daniel and his quiet perseverence and intellect. Now I can see what Victoria saw all those many years ago.

Whether or not that is true, we never saw him except at private weddings, etc. and didn't know that he was the epitome of a "self made man", a sucessful entrepreneur. Things changed after the engagement and his subsequent "Prince School" training where they tried to turn him into a dumb stuffed shirt clone.

In the event, not only did Victoria marry her prince, but he has more than earned his title, Prince of Sweden. Daniel has gone from strength to strength pushing Sweden and Swedish innovation. His advocacy for youth, health and fitness for kids is commendable as is his work with encouraging young Swedish entrepreneurs through projects such a Future Focus. He is young, enthusiastic, articulate, passionate and committed to building a better world for the next generation.

Sweden really lucked out!

Daniel visits today with Prince Daniel's Fellowship entrepreneurial programme in Malmö (in Oscar's duchy Skåne), first Värnhemsskolan and then Malmö University. As inspirators/experts Daniel has with him Lina Gebäck, founder of Linas Matkasse, Nami Zarringhalam, founder of Truecaller and Gunilla von Platen, founder of Xzakt Kundrelation. Also industrialist Carl Bennet from Prince Daniel's Fellowship steering ground takes part, he is from Skåne. Governor Margareta Pålsson hosts the lunch at the residence and is with at the visit.

Daniel met Expressen's reporter in Malmö.
Entrepreneurship is close to prince Daniel's heart. Princess Estelle seems to have inherited that.
- She has a good will and is very enterprising, the prince revealed during his visit in Malmö on Tuesday.
Prince Daniel's Fellowship visited Malmö on Tuesday to discuss and inspire students to take the step to become an entrepreneur.
- I think it is important that adults, in this case, entrepreneurs, come out of schools and talk about their lives. We know there is a big discrepancy between what people want and what you then do depending on different things. Those barriers we are trying to unravel, Daniel said.
In Värnhemsskolan 300 students listened to the speech by the Prince, who told of his own time as gym owner, as well as three invited inspirators: Lina Gebäck from Linas Matkasse, Nami Zarringhalam from TrueCaller and Gunilla von Platen from Xzakt Kundrelation, who told how her entrepreneurial career began as a child when she started selling ice cream lollipops.
- We get good insights on how you think when you are 16-17 years old, says Prince Daniel.
And the entrepreneurial spirit is something prince hopes to transfer to his own children.

- I hope so, I think the social heritage is very strong. If a parent shows that nothing is impossible and that you believe in yourself and believe that you can do good things, I think it is something you can inherit.

94-year old Anna-Greta Rylander follows everything regarding to the royal family. She heard today a rumor at the bakery: Prince Daniel is in town. And Anna-Greta met Daniel when he visited Värnhemsskolan.
- He was very nice and looked better than I had thought almost, said Anna-Greta Rylander after the short chat with Prince Daniel. I said to him that I like the royal family very much and I like his family very much.
Minnie Hersby & Racharin Wethwong study last year of the tourism program. They already have a company that sells caramel corn flakes:
- It was inspiring to hear about the Prince's gym and how he started, they said and Racharin told "I was nervous, I sat beside him and I was the first who got to talk". The reporter says "You were a little starstruck?". "Yes".

On his way to the school Daniel met small children. Daniel told them that he is going to meet bigger children and young people. One boy asked for an autograph. "I'm not allowed to give autographs", said Daniel. The boy asks why. "Well, am not allowed... I never do that. Because now I must hurry and if I don't have time to give autographs to you all I don't give an autograph to one of you, it would be unfair. I'm sorry. But we can perhaps send a photo of us to you", says Daniel and the children get excited "yes!". Daniel turns to a photographer and asks if that is alright. The photographer says that he fixes it and Daniel poses at a photo with the children.

Governor Margareta Pålsson hosted a lunch at her residence and tells at her blog that at the lunch were invited also 11 young entrepreneurs to have a conversation with the prince, and business leaders.
