I don't know if he can ride a horse, but I know he has a birthday tomorrow, so Happy birthday Prince Daniel!

He told about one time were a papparazzi had parked near the house and a neighbour didnt like it. The neighbour was out watering the lawn so he turned the waterhose on the papparazzi that sat with the window of the car open and the papparazzi took the hint and drove away

Very nice that he kept that kind of speech. The article says that nobody in the church knew it before except the priest who suddenly said that he wants to give the stage for Prince Daniel now.

Why does Aftonbladet not allow their page to be translated? I no longer bother to go to their page but use Expressen instead as they allow translation.

Very nice of him that he showed up in Ockelbo with such a kind of speech. It must have been a nice surprise for all people there.
And I'm glad he had his first assignment alone this week.

I find it a strange thing to do during a mass.  It's about christmas, not about Prince Daniel, after all. During the mass on the highest christian holiday this seems misplaced to me.

From what I understand the speech was after the mass, not during it....and I'm sure the priest knew what he/she was doing when allowing it.

In the Finnish newspaper they call it "Christmas concert" and not a mass. But German paper calls it a mass.

According to Expressen, it was a midnight concert, which is a tradition in Ockelbo at Christimas.
GD says that it was a midnight mass with a concert.

If the persons involved thought it appropriate we can perhaps assume it was. The very frequent negative comments and assumptions that the royal families have no clue what is appropriate or acceptable is very strange.

Well since the swedish prince is dating that woman - I am not so sure if royalty knows necessarily what is appropriate and what not  .
However, where I come from it would be totally inappropriate to have a speech by a private person during the christmas midnight mass. I have to add that I am catholic. But as I understand it was in fact a mass cum concert and as such a social gathering, which changes the situation very much.
Whoever makes "very frequent negative comments" - it can't be me. I do not make frequent comments anyway.

Well, since i didnt check yesterday on Ockelbochurch website i didnt know what i was talking about. It had to be the midnightconcert 23 december because there was no midnightcermony on the 24th.
Lorette: In Sweden we arent catholics, we are supposed to be Lutherans, but our church is something in the order of "We think god exist, but we do know that the Socialdemocratic order exist"
