Programmet Prins Daniel 3 september - Länsstyrelsen i Örebro län
Sten Renglin from the County Administrative Board tells that Daniel has been invited primarily because he was born in Örebro, but also because it was here that he made his first official appearance with the royal family after he had become prince in 2010. There is an intense day waiting for the prince. The meaning of the whole visit is that he will experience Örebro. We're very happy and proud that he comes here.
During the day he will do everything from visiting the university to meet with local business owners. But the highlight is undoubtedly a visit to Almby church - the church where Daniel once was baptized.
- There will be a ceremony inside the church to mark the prince's visit. Daniel was baptized in January 1974 by the late parish priest Nils Magnerus.
The focus should be on when he himself was baptized in the church. We will show the font and gather around it. Had the parishioners had been allowed to decide they probably wanted the prince had stayed all day. We were of course of course delighted when it became clear that he would come.
