I've always wanted to go to China and in those pictures it looks wonderful. It can't be easy for Victoria to be under so much more pressure than her sibling and yet you never get the impression she is annoyed or tired or just plain bored. It's such an endearing quality.

Where can I find a calendar/agenda of the Victoria's visit to China? Did she actually arrive on the 24th of September. I saw some places where it says the 21st. I wonder if she had tried Chinese foods before going to China. Thanks

On 27 September, Crown Princess Victoria paid a visit to the Swedish School in Beijing between her other activities. The school children had prepared for two weeks before they could finally meet their Crown Princess.
The children could ask her some questions, and of course they went into the love area, which Victoria avoided in a smooth way on one question: - Yes, I have someone that I’m a little in love with. He has four legs, a nose and tails. - I think I know a dog! Said one of the school children. - And his name is Jambo, said Victoria. Where do you live, is it big? - At Drottningholm, a yellow Palace. But the one in the city is bigger. There are 600 rtooms there, and the only one who really knows his way around there is dad, said the Crown Princess. (MY COMMENT: Which isn't completely true, as she lives in a wing, and in a small apartment there) How does it feel to become Queen? - That is far away in the future. It's exciting, but very much work. Why does one have to call the Crown Princess “the Crown Princess”? - Because I am a Crown Princess. Just like the Prime Minister is the Prime Minister, therefore I’m called the Crown Princess. Do you have time to meet your family a lot? - Not always, but we try to have Sunday dinners together; Carl Philip, Madeleine, mom, dad and me. And then Dagens Nyheter asked: Why did she choose to go to China? What has made the strongest impression? - I wanted to see China. It’s incredibly fascinating to see China with own eyes, before the changes get too big. Incredible advances have been made, but the traditional Chinese is also left. - The strongest moment was one morning in the Rittan Park. I was there at seven in the morning, and for the first time I got to see the real Chinese in Beijing. Older men where there with birds in their cages, others did tai chi, qi gong, sword dance and fox trot. Beijing looks almost like any big city, I hope they can preserve the old culture as well. The children in the Swedish School (and all Swedish School's in such big cities) are often children of Swedish diplomats and corporate people, and other Swedes working in China (the majority are engineers I think).

Translation of more questions from the children at the Swedish School in Beijing, from Crown Princess Victoria's visit on 27 September. Translated from Aftonbladet.
What job do you have? - I’m a Crown Princess, and that’s almost like a job. It’s a job to go around talking, doing advertising for Sweden. Does everybody say “Crown Princess” to the Crown Princess? - No, my friends don’t. They say Victoria. Or Oija. But that’s really my family who calls me that. Does the Crown Princess have many security guards? - I have a few. But I have such a tight schedule that they have to be several to keep up. How does the Crown Princess live? - I have two rooms. I live at Drottningholm Palace (ME: not completely true, she lives in a wing, but I guess kids want to hear about the big palace). It’s very nice. Do you get to do what you want? - No, neither of us does. And that’s good. Did the Crown Princess often fight with her siblings? - As a big sister, one has to keep track of the younger siblings. I had to take care of them sometimes when mom and dad were away. Madeleine and Carl Philip thought it was hard sometimes. What happens if the Crown Princess commits a crime? - But I’m not to do that. How was the Crown Princess in school? - I had quite a hard time in school. It was difficult to read and so on. And maths, that was hard. But in the end it went okay. Does the Crown Princess sign many autographs? - No, I don’t sign any autographs. But I usually pose for pictures. The original & full article can be found here.
