I am sure Crown Princess Victoria will look beautiful, only seven weeks to go! Does anyone know who the wedding dress designer is?

The designer has not been officially announced.
That being said, Pär Engsheden is on the guest list for the wedding and he already designed gowns for Victoria .

Yeah doesn´t it sounds like he´s the one who have made it you think? I think so, and he´s been the designer most "fashion experts" have tipped. I can´t wait for this wedding to start - i hope it will be as wonderful as i imagen it will be

Thank you, I like some of Pär Engsheden designs he has created for Victoria.

A gala dress is not the same as a wedding dress. If hes done some of the dresses I'm thinking of I'm very worried. :nonono: We should start mentally preparing ourselves now.

Victoria's big day

I think Cr Prss Victoria will look lovely on her big day. :flowers:
She has a great sense of style and I don't remember seeing her in anything I don't like. I always thought it was traditional for the father to walk the bride down the isle, but it may be different in some countries. :king:
Does anyone know?
cheers

I've always thought Victoria's style is rather plain. She doesn't seem to have Madeleine's style. Sometimes I think Victoria dresses like a 45 year old. Which is why I'm looking forward to seeing her wedding dress.

It would be nice to see the King escort her down the aisle:).

While your hoping for the best, I'm fearing for the worst. There hasn't been any dress that I've hated out right by him, but a lot of them are nothing special to rave about. Makes me worried if the same apporach will be taken toward the wedding dress.

I love KP's style. Her younger sister doesn't seem to want to grow up and that shows in her outfits.
Plus, I admire Victorias curvy figure! She's a lucky gal with a slim waist, curvy hips and long legs.

Victoria usually on a daily basis looks boring, same hairstyle, same kind of clothes. She does have some beautiful day outfits and looks stunning at Nobel Prize Ceremonies and special occasions.
On the other hand I adore Princess Madeleines outfits. It's all a matter of opinion of course.
I love Pär Engsheden dresses.

I know what you mean. Let's just hope the wedding dress will look stunning. I could imagine a version of her engagement outfit, so a really simple dress. (I wouldn't like that, but nobody asks me ;) )

I have no doubt that Victoria will look stunning on her wedding day. If not because of the design of her wedding gown, then just from the happiness that she will be exuding!:ROFLMAO:

As for the style difference between Victoria and Madeleine -- remember, Victoria is the heir apparent and probably feels a need to dress more seriously than Madeleine who can be bit more flirtatious in her style. JMO!:whistling:

I have no problem with her dressing more seriously then Madeleine, in fact as shes the heir its whats most appropriate. Madeleine comes off as dressing too Hollywood with some of her gala dresses. I just think that Victoria takes that idea to far at times. I also fear she will come out with a dress like her mother, there's a difference between understated elegance and just being flat out plain.

Exactly. Victoria will represent our country and she is chic and classy.
I much prefer her style to all of the royals.

You can't say that Madeleine doesn't want to grow up because she dresses her age. There's nothing wrong with dressing "Hollywood and glamorous". Because of her style, Victoria comes off as boring. I think she's that way because she's crown princess, but look at Mary. She dresses with style and she's older than Victoria.:)

I totally agree about Victorias figure. I love how she's comfortable in her skin and not trying to be skinnier than she ought to be.:)

Based on what is appropriate for a royal bride to wear on her wedding day, I am not too enthusiastic about Victoria's gown. As we have seen with Queen Silvia, CP Mary and CP Maxima, some of the wedding gowns can look plain and boring. If Victoria were to wear something like Mette-Marit's or Letizia's - something with more style to it - then I would say she looks great. Just my two cents!

What is appropriate for a royal bride to wear?? I thought they can wear whatever they wanted.

Not really. The dress has to be high-necked and at least 3/4 sleeved. That's why you don't see royal brides wearing strapless or thin-strapped gowns.

There has been quite alot of discussion about the "guest list" which of course we cannot really confirm until we see the guets arriving on the day

However i think it very very unlikely that either William or Harry attend - as William is due to be in South Africa for the world cup and there was talk about some joint visit of Harry and William to S.A as well as Lestho. Edward and Sophie have been the traditional wedding guests for the foreign royals for a nyumber of years - they attended the weddings in norway, denmar, the netherlands etc. Charles has also attended soem foreign weddings ed Spanish and i think willem-alexander/maxima's. I think it is a definitive that Edward and Sophie will attend and there maybe an off chance of Charles possibly with Camilla attending - however June is a really busy month for the royals and with Camill's current injury it maybe too much for her!

Also - the entire Dnaish royal family has been invited - but i thought that there always had to be one at home to fill in a Regent. Therefore maybe Joachim will not attend. The King of Spain rarely attends foreign weddings and it is usually the Queen and Felipe with this time Letizia. I doubt whether Elena will go considering she and Jamie are no longer together and will Christina return from the US just for the wedding? Interesting to note Charlene beng invited as Albert's guest - will she wear a tiara?

Jonas couldnt possibly turn up and it is nice to see Emma being on the list as she Victoria and Madeleine always seemed close.

I guess, Jonas may be thrown with tomatoes in case he may show up. :ROFLMAO:
The invitations has been sent out before their separation, that´s why he officially is still on the list.
But I sincerely doubt, that he will show up!
Bye Bine

It reflects her immature way of living to me.
We have to agree to disagree. ;)

I love Victorias class both in manners and in her style.
She has done a lot for Swedish women showing that you can have looks AND brains
I think we couldn't have been giving a better KP :)

There is nothing wrong with dressing your age, and any other young women the dresses Madeleine wears would be fine, but for a princess (IMO) it comes off at times too Hollywood at times (not saying all her dresses are wrong just some), like the blue dress she wore in N.Y. with her mother. Victoria seems to have the opposite problem where shes dresses older at times.

My sweet tooth wonders about their cake. Any one have any guesses about the type of cake? All I know about wedding cake is they usually have that fondant frosting.

I've heard that the designer is Pär Engsheden.

Yes, it looks that way. He is still not confirmed though

I'd love the program on SVT to have these kind of details but sadly they don't show anything about the actual upcoming wedding!
I'm guessing it's top secret but at least they could give some hints of what to expect.
The chef for the dinner hasn't spilled any beans either.
