She is more subtle than Rania or Diana. Or even Maxima who uses a lot of color.

ok, two more of the red suit.

Right. I didn't catch that it was the same outfit! Not reading well right now. Ha! Ha! She looked good but I still am not the biggest fan of it. And long sleeves probably would have been better. Maybe last week when it was in the 70s!

Anorexia can not be cured, and when Anorexics become stressed or busy the easiest thing for them to do (at least in their minds) is to skip a meal. As a sufferer from the eating disorder who sought treatment I know the pressures. The little voice never truly disappears, and when I am under a great deal of stress or feel like I am losing control of something important to me I have to force myself to remember that "one meal" is actaully a big deal to someone in my situation.
That said, I agree with others who feel CP Victoria seems to be losing weight again, but it seems she is surrounded by people who love her, and as pictures seem to be showing, her weight is fluxuating....so maybe while she is still struggling with her weight issues, she realizes that "just one meal," is also a big deal for her, and she is struggling to keep telling herself that.

I´m admiring everybody, who´s facing these every-day-fights with his/her anorexia! And I´m glad for you, Britters, that you seem to have managed it to improve your situation!
I know that there is no 100%-cure for people, who have once suffered from an eating disorder, but I still hope, that cp Victoria´s recent weight loss is just the result of her busy schedule this fall. I mean in summer she had more time for training, so I guess that she has lost also a lot of muscle-mass.
And I don´t know for sure, if she has suffered (is suffering) from anorexia. She mentioned in this book from 2002, that the only thing she could control, was the food, she stuffed in her...that sounds like bulimia, or a mix between anorexia and bulimia.

I thought we had commented earlier, that this 'weight loss' is toning that Victoria is getting at her fitness trainer's gym.

My hope is that she stays with the evolved program which best suits her. :) (for example, 10 minutes in the morning of lifting 8 oz ;) at a time followed in the evening by a 30 minute session of general stretching and bending and doing all the lifts and pulls of a home gym)

Well, but we don´t know it for sure, what´s the reason for her weight loss. Yennie said, that she thinks, that Victoria looks slimmer because of her work-outs..and I said, that I guess it´s a loss of muscle mass, and Britters thinks, that it could be the "carryover" of her eating disorder. So that are all speculations!

Why does she need a home gym? She has a boyfriend, who owns a gym deluxe.
Well, there are some jokes/puns in my mind (including personal trainer and home sports) :brows: :brows: , but I think these "jokes" should stay in my mind...that would be too respectless towards HRH!

or maybe she has the dietfor her wedding??? most women do that lose weight for wedding

Oh, what a great other perspective ...and I think that your statement will produce a lot of follow-posts ;)
Yes, it´s indeed common (totally daffy-but almost everybody does it. Especially in Royal circles. One person, which comes to my mind in connection to this, is Queen Beatrix, who has lost a lot of weight before her wedding) to loose weight before a wedding. But if cp Victoria would marry, the palace would announce a wedding at least 4-6 months before. And if she would start to diet now, she would be a skeleton at the day of her wedding!

Hej Dennism, already prepared for the encounter with cp Victoria?! Good luck!

" or maybe she has the dietfor her wedding??? most women do that lose weight for wedding"

Darts angry look towards Sexyswede. No, she would look too skinny.

While browsing various sites for women of lesser beauty, I came across a collage of Victoria from 1997 in various bikinis. Now I suppose some idiotic macho men would have thought she looked good. But we know better. Much too skinny.

Yes, I am. Going to sleep soon. Got my camera working. Everything seems to be fine except for the weather which will be cold. Luckily no rain though.

Do you mean this collage (I´m already seeing an angry Josefine in my mind...because these pics are more or less OT ;) )
Dennism, you are a man with an great attitude! :flower:
Have you noticed that Makeda from this board will go to Delaware too (she wrote this in the chit-chat-forum, or better said in the "time to mingle"-thread). Maybe you can meet, just an idea (it´s of course your decision, I just wanted to hint this fact)

Yeah, that's it. I was going to say it was like the one that was recently done that Victoria didn't like.

On what are you refering with "recently done"...I´m unsure about what you mean with that

I thought there was published in a tabloid or on the net another one of these types of collages and Victoria put out through a spokesperson that she didn't approve of it.

Ah, now I´ve got the point. But I think the statement was about faked porno-pictures (her head on the body of an "porno-actor"). But of course she doesn´t like bikini-pics too...and now I´m a little bit ashamed, that I´ve posted the bikini-pics  ...but not ashamed enough to remove them...maybe other people would love to see, about what we are talking.

"Porno-actor"? O, no. That is just wrong.

Or maybe you meant the collages of Madeleine?! A collage (with pictures of Madeleine) from the same type like the one above has been published in a swedish men-magazine, called Slitz. I think the collage is the Madeleine sub-forum (fifth side of the "latest news thread 3").

That's it. Wrong sister. Now I am embarassed. Anyway, article from today's Delaware Online. I don't think there is anything new but I found out that Victoria's last appearance is at 3:00 PM so it will be quite a short visit.

Sweden's Crown Princess Victoria will visit Wilmington briefly Saturday, and the public is invited.

The crown princess, next in line to the throne of her father, King Carl XVI Gustaf, will visit the city for about three hours, according to Alfred Nicolosi, spokesman for the Philadelphia-based Swedish Colonial Society.

"We're all very excited," said Frances Allmond of the Delaware Swedish Colonial Society. "It's the culmination of over a year's worth of preparation work."

The princess' visit initially was set for a full day in April to mark the 365th anniversary of the Swedes' and Finns' landing in Wilmington, but the trip was postponed because of terrorism concerns from the war in Iraq, according to the Swedish Embassy in Washington.

The public can see the princess at the following stops:

• 11 a.m.: Fort Christina Park, where Swedes and Finns landed in 1638 at The Rocks and started the state's first permanent European settlement.

• 11:20 a.m.: The Kalmar Nyckel Shipyard, where she will tour the replica of the settlers' ship and meet members of the Lenape tribe, whose ancestors helped early Swedes and Finns.

Later, she will be the guest of honor at an invitation-only reception at the Delaware History Museum, on Market Street Mall.

The museum is exhibiting two portraits she was to unveil in April after their restoration, financed by the Swedish Colonial Society. On loan from Stockholm, the portraits of the Rev. Ericus Björk - first pastor of Old Swedes Church - and his wife, Christina Stalcup, are among the oldest portraits painted in Delaware, museum officials said"

Can everbody go to the museum at the same time as the princess?!

No. Invitation only. So is the unveiling of the paintings.

Swedesboro to treat guest like royalty

Sunday, January 26, 2003

SWEDESBORO -- Preparations are under way to roll out the red carpet for the future Queen of Sweden, Crown Princess Victoria, when she visits the borough in early April.

Members of the Trinity Episcopal Church and the Swedish Colonial Society met Friday to discuss everything from the princess' itinerary, her security, events and speeches to what will be served for lunch.

Princess Victoria's visit will mark two very important events in the area and in the lives of people of Swedish heritage: the 365th anniversary of the founding of the New Sweden Colony and the 300th anniversary of Trinity Episcopal (Old Swedes') Church.

The schedule is still being worked out, but tentatively the celebration should start at about 11:30 a.m. on April 4. Joining the princess on her visit will be Swedish Ambassador Jan Eliasson.

Some of the proposals include a meeting with the princess by students from the Walter Hill School in Swedesboro and the Samuel Mickle School in East Greenwich Township, some of whom are direct descendants of Swedish settlers. Fourth-grade students in both schools are taught about the Swedish colony that is present-day Swedesboro, lessons that several in town agree need to become more widely taught throughout the United States.

Guests soon to be invited will include Swedesboro Mayor Edavide Azzari, members of the borough council, Gov. James E. McGreevey, U.S. Representatives Rob Andrews and Frank LoBiondo, state Senator and Freeholder Director Stephen M. Sweeney, Freeholder William Krebs and many others.

While in Swedesboro, the princess is scheduled to tour several of the historic sites, including the Old Swedes' Church and a granite monument that was dedicated to her father, King Carl XVI Gustaf, when he visited Swedesboro in 1976.

Swedish ships with settlers aboard reached the Delaware Bay near present-day Wilmington, Del. in March 1638. Years after arriving, settlers moved across the river and into a town they called Raccoon - now Swedesboro.

The colony, called New Sweden, would eventually stretch north in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and south to Maryland. Fort Elfsborg would be built near present-day Salem. New Sweden would continue to prosper until 1681, when William Penn received his charter for Pennsylvania and the three lower counties, including present-day Delaware.

In 1703, a log building was constructed on the banks of the Raccoon Creek, dedicated in 1705 as the Swedish Evangelical Lutheran Church. The site is now home to the Old Swedes' Church.

Herbert R. Rambo, governor of the Swedish Colonial Society, said plans have been in the works for the past seven years to have someone from the royal family visit the borough in time for the two anniversaries.

Rambo, whose family settled in present day Swedesboro in 1702 and who was honored by the King of Sweden in June and presented with the distinguished Royal Order of the North Star, said he's "thrilled" about the visit and will be counting the days until the princess' arrival.

The visit is also important to the future queen's ascent to the throne, as she is expected to learn about the history of Swedish settlements throughout the world.

"It's all very exciting," said the Rev. Dr. Rae Wynn Whiteley of the Trinity Episcopal Church. "It is really wonderful."

So many local people too. I mean Philadelphia and even Wilmington get so many events. We are often ignored. But better late than never. Rather ironically, William Penn and Raoul Wallenberg are among the only five or so "foreigners" who have been honored with an honorary citizenship. One I can't remember but the other two are Winston Churchill(technically American anyway) and Marquis de Lafayette!

Well, I'll see what I can do. The places are all close to each other so it won't be driving from here to there and every place in between.

Thank You for posting the info and the photos from Victoria's visit to the USA. I wish that she would pay a visit to California....
