The County Administrative Board of Västernorrland tells at their website that they expect to start at about 10.45 at Entré West and finish at 18:00 at Entré South.
- We hope for a good hiking weather and invite all those who want to hike with us to take along water and food bags that will suffice during the day. In some cases, the ladders are very steep, so good shoes and being used to hike are required to keep up all the way, says Torbjörn Engberg at the County Administrative Board Västernorrland, Head of Protected Nature, and one of those leading the hike.
The walk in its entirety is demanding, but there are good opportunities to adjust your participation and join in at the start, or follow parts of the walk.
- Our nature is amazing - and for everyone! In Ångermanland there are good opportunities for outdoor activities and recreation, I am glad that the Crown Princess wants more people to discover it. I hope many county residents will join us on the hike in Skuleskogen on October 3rd, says Berit Högman, the governor of Västernorrland.

Today, the Crown Princess Victoria performed her fifteenth landscape walk, in the beautiful Skuleskog National Park. It's nice to hike here with the Crown Princess, governor Berit Högman thought.
Governor Berit Högman enjoyed the crown princess's company.
- It's a great part in a nice assignment I have as a governor, to walk with the Crown Princess and all children.
What did you talk about?
- We talked a lot about the importance of getting children and young people to move, people who need it.
With the hikes, the Crown Princess wants to experience different parts of Sweden during different seasons and to visualize the treasure that Swedish nature is for all who live and work here.
Did the Crown Princess say something that surprised you?
- No, I can not say that. On the other hand, the Crown Princess is a very positive person, I know she appreciated the herding calls and storytelling about mountain farm life, says Berit Högman.

Crown Princess Victoria hiked a mile through unspoiled wilderness in the Skuleskog National Park during Wednesday.
With the weather on her side and in company of a class in grade five she experienced the world heritage of Högakusten.
- The Crown Princess was in great shape and incredibly enthusiastic and interested, said Torbjörn Engberg from the county administrative board of Västernorrland.
- It is unique that we have a 30 square kilometer wilderness area that stretches all the way to the coastal country, said Engberg, one of those who led the crown princess's hike through the fields where there are both lynx and bear territory.
The predators were not seen during the hike.
The public was welcome to walk with crown princess and from the beginning there was a brave crowd of about 200 people who joined.
Among those who attended was a class in grade five from Dockstaskolan, which, among other things, told about the ongoing land raising and the World Heritage Site of Högakusten. The Crown Princess also received information from people from the county administrative board dealing with nature issues.
- There were different stages and the Crown Princess saw different parts of the national park. It is Högakusten so everyone who walked was allowed to enjoy varied scenery with amazing views, said Johan Tegel, information officer at the royal court.

The environmental threat involves the hikng crown princess: "We must shape up"
Stor intervju_ Klimathotet oroar kronprinsessan Victoria

Victoria said in the interview part:
The Crown Princess's wonderful hike through Sweden
Crown Princess Victoria has started her own version of Nils Holgersson's wonderful trip through Sweden. She will hike through Sweden's all provinces. She is deeply concerned about the climate change she sees. Di Weekend followed the hikes in Blekinge, Närke and Dalsland.
She performs a kind of informal eriksgata in forest and land. She started in September 2017, and when this is written, she has performed just over half of the hikes.
"I want to highlight the unique nature we have, which is an incredible treasure and is just around the corner. Experiencing new doesn't need to be difficult or costly. It's really just opening the door. I want to encourage outdoor life, movement and the importance of breaking the sedentary, and I'm convinced that those who live in nature are also more keen to protect it", she says.
The hikes are planned six months in advance, and arranged in cooperation with the county administrative boards. In addition to hiking, Victoria has been riding a bike in Närke, fishing in Gotland, horse plowing in Västergötland, skiing in Lapland and canoeing in Dalsland, to take some examples.
The public is invited to join every hike, and the non-profit organisations will join up with experts who guide the tours. Victoria says: "I feel humble in front of all the non profit organisations and driving spirits Sweden has. In many places, they hold together interests, people and communities".
School classes, sports clubs and other child groups connect along the way, and Victoria receives drawings, cards and flowers. A diligent adjutant is at hand to take care of all things which are given to her.
Crown Princess Victoria doesn't write autographs, but she lets herself be photographed, while Säpo-guards are close to protect Sweden's future head of state.
She received her nature interest in the mother's milk. She has called her parents for "all-weather parents". With her father she made bread on a stick, put net, smoked fish and drove a tractor.
"Both of my parents can very much about nature, and mom told us about animals and plants and how the ecosystem hangs together in a playful way. We were always out in nature. We were in the woods, in the archipelago and on the mountain, among other things, we walked along Kungsleden".
As a child, she had her own bees at Solliden, and today there are beekeepers at both Solliden and Haga.
Victoria and Daniel are both eager of continuing interest in nature to their children, and the family often finds outdoor activities. Estelle has gone in all weathers preschool and can already name a large number of fish species.
"My first thought was to bring her on these hikes, but it would probably have been a little too demanding for her", says Victoria.
She is especially concerned with sea and fishing issues, and when she visited Bohuslän, she picked up junk on a beach on Nordkoster along with a school class.
"The purpose of the hikes wasn't really talking about environmental threats, but we have talked about that naturally in every place. Threats such as invasive species, eutrophication of the Baltic Sea and low oxygen levels. We have also talked about how chemicals affect nature and how dangerous substances, such as drug residues and microplasts, penetrate the treatment plants and adversely affect the ecosystem. We have also talked about the importance of mower beds, restoration of eelgrass beds and how important it is that there is room for all species for the whole to function, like mixed forests of different ages. What is striking and very disappointing, is all garbage found in nature and we only have to blame ourselves. There we have to shape up".
The Crown Princess couple want to teach their children how to live climate-savvy. Both Estelle and Oscar know how to separate garbage.
"You don't have to scare the children, but it's never too early to start talking about climate issues. Children are wise and incredibly curious. Sometimes I think they are wiser than we, because they clearly understand the interaction between people, nature and the environment. We have many such discussions at home. Estelle is well aware of the occurrence of plastic in the seas, the problem of littering and what the eutrophication does with the fish".
She is worried about the extreme weather phenomena that are becoming more common throughout the globe.
"I feel a clear worry, definitely. Now we have just had a record warm summer with forest fires, drought and very little water. There is a lot on our planet that does not follow the normal pattern. Now, this is the planet we have, and the wisest would be, if we live in a sustainable way, and take care of what we have".
"We need to think about how we produce things and make wise choices when we consume. It is gratifying to see that industry taking greater producer responsibility. But as a consumer, it's not easy to know what we consume actually costs to the nature and environment. For example, you have no idea how many thousands of liters of water are consumed when produced all from clothes to mobile phones".
"My real hope with these hikes is that more people will see the nature and get a relationship with it. Otherwise, we will not care for it and see the signs that animals and nature are feeling bad. Afterwards it may be too late to do something about it".
Kronprinsessans underbara vandring genom Sverige - Di Weekend

That is a great article describing the hikes, and Victoria's interview part is very good. Great to see that some newspapers still do good articles and don't only tell about what a royal (woman) wore.

Many people from Hälsingland appreciate the princess's visit
Many wanted to meet the Crown Princess in Järvsö. About 200 people started walking with her towards Öjeberget's top.
Anna-Greta Hallin had been assigned to hand over a flower bouquet to the Crown Princess from people of Järvsö.
- It is fun and very honorable, says Anna-Greta just before the princess arrives at Järvsö station.
Jessica Olsson was one of those who walked with the Crown Princess during the hike. She is very satisfied.
- It was great fun to walk with Victoria. She was kind and lovely, says Jessica.
Gunilla Seliberg from Enskogen joined the Crown Princess throughout the hike and was very happy with the day.
- It has been great, so cozy and fun. Wonderful with this weather too, it's absolutely magical to walk here, says Gunilla Seliberg.
What is the reason you walk with the Crown Princess today?
- I want to walk with Victoria. I think it's fun. It is so cozy that she does this, that she hikes through Sweden. It's clear that you do this when you get an opportunity, says Gunilla, who describes the Crown Princess as a lovely person.
Gunilla also tells that the Crown Princess looks and talks to everyone who comes close in a nice way.
- She stood and waved when I got up right after her. One felt involved and I think that's fun. It's enough, you don't have to talk to her, you're nearby and feel like she's enjoying it as much as we do, says Gunilla Seliberg.

Everybody struggled to photograph and get a smile of the Crown Princess - while uniformed police tried to keep an eye on the sparkling crowd.
The Crown Princess chatted a little with many of the walkers. As the trip approached Järvzoo and Rovdjurscentret, an additional number of people, including Lärvux (Lärvux is for people over the age of 20 who have a functional variation or acquired brain injury, which means that you need longer learning time) joined. One of the students there, Jessica Olsson, from Ramsjö, was very pleased.
- I didn't know at all that she would come here, I was told this morning. I have seen her on television, and in newspapers. She greeted me and walked with me. She said she likes the forest - just like I do. She's my best friend, Victoria!

The royal court about the hike at their website
The Crown Princess was welcomed by governor Per Bill at Järvsö Train Station. From the train station, the hike then went up to Trappstigen to the viewpoint Öjeberget where the Crown Princess received information about old and new Järvsö.
From the viewpoint the hike went up to the top of Öjeberget and then down to cot Chinova's eftertanke. Then the hike went down a downhill hill in Järvsö Bergscykelbana to Badtjärn.
At Badtjärn the Crown Princess met pupils from grades 3-4 at Järvsö School. The students told about nature and school collaboration with Rovdjurscentret De 5 Stora and animal tracking activities. Then the hike continued through parts of Järvzoo to Kramstatjärn.
From Kramstatjärn the hike went to Strandvallen where local associations had a trial-on activity. The Crown Princess participated in a relay before the hike went on to Kungstrappan and Stenegård.
At Stenegård, the head of business told about food trade and Hälsingehambon. Players and folk dances entertained with folk music and hambo. The hike was completed at the world heritage site Kristofers in Stene. The owners of the farm, Per and Stephanie, told about the place and their farming.

Swedish Radio P4 Norrbotten's reporter Per Vallgårda skied with Victoria and said that Victoria is a very impressive skier and she held a tough tempo. He interviewed Victoria.
Reporter: How does it feel?
Victoria: It feels very nice. It is a fantastic experience to ski here. It's so wonderful. I love the weather. I think it's really nice. Now in Stockholm we don't have snow anymore. It's great to have an extra winter.
Reporter: I think that the crown princess has skied before, it goes so fast?
Victoria: I do not know how fast it goes, I like to ski but do it poorly, I have no further technique but I get forward.
Reporter: I spoke with some people who live here in Kalix and they said you have a good style, good technique.
Victoria: I don't have that, but it's great. It doesn't matter how you ski, you get to be outdoors together and enjoy of the nature. And that's what I'm thinking is great with skiing.
Reporter: This is your seventeeth province hike. Why did you choose to come to Kalix at this time of the year? We talk about the light and summer, but you came in the winter?
Victoria: Yes. I love winter and it is great. But also because I try to visit various places in our beautiful country and it is just great to be here today.
I'm grateful to be here today.

On Wednesday, March 20, the Crown Princess visited Norrbotten for her seventeenth province hike.
The Crown Princess's visit to Norrbotten started at Filipborg's manor, which is located on Kalixälven's beach, one of Sweden's national rivers. From there, the Crown Princess went cross-country skiing on the Kalix River along with associations and the public to Kalix winterland. There, the Kalix municipality offers the residents winter activities in the form of, among other things, an ice course, sledding hill and ski trails where the children's Vasalopp is arranged.
Then the Crown Princess continued with skis on the Kalix River to the island of Vassholmen where the hike ended. Vassholmen is an old partition place for timber and has a high cultural-historical value with well-preserved buildings from the time when log driving on the river took place.
At Vassholmen lunch was prepared over open fire with flavors from Norrbotten.

"Crown Princess Victoria visited Kalix yesterday. On the agenda was skiing on the river, visit to Kalix winter country and lunch at Vassholmen. Our task was guarding and public order in place. The atmosphere was good and the day became a nice folk party for all ages!"

Folk festival with Crown Princess Victoria
It was a royal party atmosphere in Kalix when Crown Princess Victoria made her seventeenth province hike through Sweden's landscape, now along the Kalix river.
It started from Filipsborg's manor, out in the archipelago and in the other direction to Strandängarna and many people living in Kalix chose to follow along the approximately 15 kilometer long ski trip.
It snowed abundantly all the time and was headwind the first part, but the atmosphere was top notch.
In the lead together with Crown Princess Victoria, there were skiers Emma Ribom and Jennie Öberg.
Also part of the municipal management skied, including municipal councilor Tommy Nilsson, municipal council chairman Susanne Andersson and second vice chairman of the municipal government Katarina Burman.
There were some stops along the way, where among other children from the Norrskenets förskola preschool and Näsbyskolan met up.
They met a glorious happy Crown Princess Victoria who, among other things, talked about skiing with them and rounded off with the words:
- How great to meet you!
Many associations in Kalix took the opportunity to show off.
Further in the area, Crown Princess Victoria was drinking hot chocolate at the chocolate café.
- So good, she said.
Crown Princess Victoria also got to meet Furuhedsskolan's esthetics who showed ice art, the Crown Princess also had to try it.
Crown Princess Victoria finally got to participate in the awards ceremony at the Children's Vasalopp at Strandängarna where Kerstin Viklund Ljung, three years, was one of the medalists.
A little before the deadline, the company reached the final destination Vassholmen.
- What a wonderful day, said Lennart Larsson, Kalix ski club.
- It's been a fantastic experience, said Crown Princess Victoria.
On a later question about memories of the day, the moment with Kerstin Viklund Ljung came up.
- With that will power she will go a long way in life.
Kalix municipality is the year's foremost outdoor municipality in the county and in second place in the context of the country.
And it was, despite the heavy snowfall, a lot of people moving all day.
- A real folk festival, just as we wanted it, said Reine Sundqvist, information officer of Kalix municipality who was also responsible for the arrangement by the municipality.
With the whole day are Einar Olsson, Arvid Olsson, Josefin Persson and Rebecca Johnselius from Kalix ski club, which had many skiers with this day.
- Crown Princess Victoria is very fast, great at skiing and she is very kind and nice, said Josefin Persson.
- It was great fun, said Rebecca Johnselius.
- It was exciting to be with, said Arvid Olsson.
- A great experience, said Einar Olsson.
