CP Victoria & Daniel W. - Current Events Part 5 (April 2007 -)

I really admire Victoria and must say that she became such a strong person and is dealing with her difficult situation in a very confident and mature matter. With difficult I mean that as a female CP - and later as Queen - she has a much tougher job to do as her male counterparts, in my opinion. She will be the monarch, will have to give birth to children before the biological clock runs out and raise them, will have to work very hard, will have the main responsibility for everything, will have to find a suitable husband who is not scared of his supporting role etc etc. It's a though and demanding schedule that she won't be able to share with her partner as much as her male counterparts are able to, whose consort wives at least give birth to the children and play a main part in raising them. There are plenty of examples of difficulties that similar couples had to experience (Queen Margrethe in terms of raising her children and royal husbands struggling with their roles in the shadow, be it Princes Henrik, Philip, Claus or his father in law Bernhard). Keeping all this in mind I am always happy looking at Victoria enjoying herself and being comfortable in her role; good luck for the future and I do hope that Daniel is the one!

It's a bit worrying though that neither Victoria nor her siblings seem to think of getting married and becoming parents. King Boudouin at least had his brother's children when he did not become a father himself, but Victoria does not have that yet.

According to Expressen, Victoria and Daniel have been at a vacation in Brazil, they flew to Galeãos after Christmas. Nina Eldh, the Director of the Information of Swedish Royal Court, confirms that Victoria has been on a private vacation. A "source" says that Victoria and Daniel have longed for at go far away and they chose Brazil.

Doesn't Victoria have cousins or other family in Brazil?

Victoria is a young lady she has a lot of time before becoming a mother. I think she waits to marry Daniel because wants him to be sure about his future role in the country. Maybe she need more time to decise is he the one for her. when she accept the final decision we get a lot of wedding pictures with their happy faces on its.

Aftonbladet has an article about Victoria and Daniel at the hockey game:
”Westling – mer vilja än talang...”
The article tells that Daniel has played at the same team than the swedish hockey player Andreas Johansson when they were 13 or 14 years old. Johansson said that perhals Daniel had more will than skill, but that he was ok. Johansson had known that Daniel would be watching this game.

I really like Victoria. She seems so intelligent, confident and mature. I am also happy to see that she hasn't rushed into marriage, and that she is enjoying her youth. She still has plenty of time ahead of her for marriage and family, and I'm sure that she will excel at balancing her personal life with her royal duties. She is a great example for young girls (especially in today's society where young girls don't have many positive figures to look up to).

Crown Princess Victoria and Daniel Westling were today at the icehockey match between Sweden and Finland in Stockholm.

Wow. They must be quite the hockey fans. Do you know if there are any photos yet?

I haven´t seen any photos of this match. I saw them on TV, when I was watching the game, Finland won and I was happy.
At the beginning of the match they showed only Daniel, apparently Victoria game to the hall at the middle of the game, because she was shown later.

Victoria and Daniel went to a car ride yesterday afternoon. At four o´clock in the afternoon Daniel drove his Lexus out of the courtyard of the Drottningholm castle. Jenny tells that Daniel had big sunglasses and Victoria a ponytail.
