Victoria attends today at the delivery of World's Children's Prize for the Rights of the Child at the Gripsholm Castle at 16.00.
Every year, three Child Rights Heroes are selected by the WCP Child Jury to be candidates for the World’s Children’s Prize for the Rights of the Child. By the time the awards are presented, millions of children have learned about the rights of the child and democracy. The WCP program ends with children all over the world voting for their Child Rights Hero in a Global Vote. The patrons of the World’s Children’s Prize are Nelson Mandela from South Africa, Aung San Suu Kyi from Burma, Xanana Gusmão from East Timor, Queen Silvia of Sweden, Graça Machel and Desmond Tutu.
The child rights hero and the recipient of the 2013 World’s Children’s Prize for the Rights of the Child is the former child slave James Kofi Annan, Ghana. He is honoured for his 10-year struggle to liberate children who are fishing slaves in Ghana. The World’s Children’s Honorary Award went to Sompop Jantraka, Thailand, for his 25-year struggle against child sex trade and for vulnerable children in the Mekong Region and Kimmie Weeks, Liberia, for his 20-year battle for the rights of children affected by war.

Victoria has visited Piteå today, she wanted to deepen her knowledge of renewable energy.
Victoria visited the Svevind wind power projects in Markbygden, a project in its entirety involves the establishment of 1,101 wind turbines in operation would provide about 4,000 MW. In the current situation there permits for 314 works and construction is in full swing. The establishment of the park involves the creation of a large number of jobs to a sparsely populated area with high average age and declining population base. During the visit Victoria got to see the ongoing construction of the wind farm and get information by representatives from Svevind, Enercon and from Eastern Kikkejaure sami village.
During the afternoon Victoria visited Solander Science Park in Piteå.

This is one very special lady, a very intelligent, strong, independent woman in her own right. I adore this woman, and she is going to be the best queen that Sweden will ever have. She is what a real princess is, she has such a strong love for her family, country and faith. Love her hubby and daughter.

Victoria has been seen last week at a jogging round at Haga Park, with two SÄPO-guards cycling behind her. The bodyguards are extremely well trained, but if something would happen, it is not a good idea that they would made off with all the energy with a long jog. So cycling is a better choice.

Victoria flies to the memorial service of Nelson Mandela with prime minister Fredrik Reinfeldt. It will be tough 40 hours for Victoria (about 30 hours at a plane). The king was invited to the memorial, but he could not leave the Nobel ceremony and perhaps not be able to host his own dinner for the Laureates on Wednesday.
-That the crown princess attends was a decision made after the discussion between the king and the crown princess. To honour Mandela means a lot to the crown princess, she remembers well her meeting with him, tells Annika Sönnerberg from the press department.
Victoria and the prime minister fly with the government plane that takes 12 passengers and has 4 crew members. Yesterday it was planned that they leave this morning and Reinfeldt's press secretary Markus Friberg confirmed it on Monday morning:
- The memorial service is the only event they attend.
Victoria has promised to the king to attend at the dinner on Wednesday.

Annika Sönnerberg from the court press department told to Aftonbladet, that though Victoria has a tough schedule with her flights (30 hours at a plane in two days), she will be in Johannesburg well before the memorial service and she will be able to return to Sweden for the King's dinner on Wednesday.

Victoria arrived to the memorial service and she was asked about what are her feelings now. She said: We'll get to that later.
