Countess Marianne is related to the Bernadottes through her husband, Count Sigvard Bernadotte af Wisborg, who was previously a Prince of Sweden as the son of King Gustaf VI Adolf. He is the brother of the late Prince Bertil, who in turn is the uncle of King Carl Gustaf. So that would make Marianne the aunt-in-law of the King, and the great-aunt-in-law of the Crown Princess and her siblings, as well as the great-great-aunt-in-law of Estelle and Leonore, if my maths is correct. :flowers:

“Meeting Crown Princess Victoria was an honor; she is such a role model and inspiration to all women and it is fantastic to have her as our Godmother during the race. We were all excited to meet her and it was great to give her an insight into our world and have the opportunity to meet with her in person,” says Dee Caffari, crew member Team SCA.
Before leaving the headquarters, the Crown Princess also gave the crew a coin with her portrait to bring the team luck on their journey and symbolically be with them around the world.

WWF arranges in connection to the Baltic Sea Festival an international seminar "Our Seas - Our Future" at the Embassy of Finland in Stockholm on Wednesday at 15.30.
Victoria delivers the Award ”Årets Östersjöbonde” (The Swedish WWF Baltic Sea Farmer of the Year Award 2014) to this year's Swedish winner, farmer Fredrik Andersson from Västervik Municipality. He was rewarded for his efforts to reduce eutrophication of the Baltic Sea.
There is a photocall with Victoria at 15.15.
The seminar highlights the challenges which our global oceans are facing and the solutions required to get the living sea, human well-being and to secure prosperity. Pure and healthy ocean is essential for sustainable growth. The seminar also discusses how organizations, businesses and governments can work together to have a better protection of the oceans. WWF's new International Secretary General Marco Lambertini presents WWF's global marine work.

Victoria attended on Monday at Gundua Foundation's meeting. Victoria is the patron of the Foundation. And on Tuesday she met representants of the Swedish Cancer Society. No photos of these meetings yet.

With just days left until the election, Crown Princess Victoria chose to give a hearty nod to the country's politicians. She thinks that we in Sweden should be even more aware of the environment:
- It's hard to be a consumer in today and choose the right. I think that's wrong. It's a jungle out there.
Crown Princess Victoria and the rest of the royal family have in recent years become known for their commitment to the environment. In particular, the Crown Princess and the King take part in various environmental projects.
Victoria was yesterday at the annual "The Sustainable Seas - Baltic Sea" -seminar, with theme "The Baltic Sea - is it better or worse?" The Crown Princess who is included in the work environment of the Baltic Sea, was determined in her opinion of today's environment:
- There is now so much toxins in one's immediate surroundings that one does not even think of, Victoria told Expressen.

- The exhibition evokes really thoughts. Although you may be familiar with it, it will still be a surprise how incredibly many toxins there are in one's everyday life. This may include things that one just buys home automatically, as one always has. When you see the exhibition and learns, you realize all the bad things you have in their everyday lives. It is undoubtedly a challenge to educate people, said Victoria.
What should you consider?
- Difficult. There is so very much to consider when it comes to these topics. I try to make conscious choices. Trying to go after securing symbols that I recognize. But it is not always easy, it should be much easier for all consumers, she makes as a pass to all the country's ruling politicians.

Victoria makes a working visit to Latvia, told the press secretary of the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs, Karlis Eichenbaum.

Victoria attended this morning at the meeting of the Board of the Crown Princess Margareta's Veteran Reserve Foundation at the Royal Palace. Victoria is the chairman of the foundation.

The two sides expressed satisfaction with the brilliant good bilateral relations between Latvia and Sweden, which is reflected at all levels - both human relations and national economic and political co-operation. The President highlighted the conversations which took place in March at the King and Queen's visit to Latvia, which was also accompanied by an extensive delegation of business, stressing that this was a very successful and productive visit. Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden on behalf of the King and Queen thanked about the successful visit.
Meanwhile, the president, in speaking about the relations between the two countries, pointed out to the fact that Sweden is the largest foreign investor in Latvia, and is a main player in the country's financial and banking sector. At the same time, Berzins said that he sees Sweden as a good partner in finding new export markets in the future, like, for example, Latvia has done in Central Asia, but Sweden in Africa.

Svensk Damtidning's reporter Liv Sander tells that Victoria took a flight at 06.15 in the morning from the Arlanda airport. She flew at the same plane with the swedish press. After meeting the president Victoria visited the Embassy of Sweden in Riga and met ambassador Henrik Landerholm.
