What is the research project "Arctic Sweden" doing, and what is Victoria's role?
Some information about the "Arctic Sweden"
Polarforskningssekretariatet
Crown Princess Victoria is on a study visit to Abisko. "Arctic Sweden" includes research on e.g. climate change in the Swedish Lapland. Victoria is patron of the International Polar Year.
Does anyone have any pics from the meeting? Nice to see Victoria chair an goverment meating, certainly not that common - even though she (or the king) doesn´t have any power.Crown princess Victoria attended today the meeting with the Advisory Council on Foreign Affairs as a chairman, because king Carl Gustaf is in Beijing.

Acting regent yes, but there is only one Head of State of a country - no matter where they are - so I doubt that the Constitution makes a difference here. At least I wouldn't think so, but maybe there are unofficial side-documents ruling this, I don't know. The law in this case is very clear otherwise "Chairman at the meetings of the council is the head of state, or if he has impediment, the Prime Minister".GrandDuchess; Is Victoria considered "acting Head of State" when the king is out of the country? If she is, will the Prime Minister still take precedence ahead of her?
