And about those are spoken also at the EAT Forum.
At least one of the speakers mentioned Victoria's role as an advocate and said that we need more people to important positions in the world to affect things.

Crown Princess Victoria delivered an award during the afternoon when entrepreneur Erik Lindberg, who started the company Innoscentia got Gunhild Stordalen Innovation Award for the development of digital technology to measure dangerous bacteria in meat.
- It feels great. It is fun and shows that we are on the right track, he says.
After the ceremony Lindberg had a chat with the crown princess who was very interested in the newly developed technology - but the conversation also came in to the youngest family member in crown princess family.
- She was super nice and thought it was an interesting innovation, exciting and wished good luck. So I wished her luck with the little prince.

It is always nice to work with Mette-Marit, said Victoria to Svensk Damtidning yesterday. Svensk Damtidning writes that when it was time for a lunch, they went to a car and it was rumoured about a private lunch at Haga Palace.

Victoria inaugurates The Öland Harvest Festival on Wednesday 28th September at 18.00 in Borgholm, which has been chosen as the Village of the Year in Öland. The Öland Harvest Festival celebrates its 20-year jubilee. They tell at their website, that the royal family has on several occasions visited Öland's Harvest Festival. The Festival ends on 2nd October.

Victoria attended at the Baltic Sea seminar on Friday 2nd September. Niklas Zennström, the founder of Zennström Philanthropies, hosted the seminar at Dalarö, Rosenön. Zennström is the founder of Skype and Atomico and one of the Prince Daniel Fellowship experts.
Zennström Philanthropies is working to change the Baltic adverse environmental development by bringing together public and private sector, organizations and the public for discussion and exchange of experience.

Victoria has been the patron of Sustainable Seas Initiative for many years. The Sustainable Seas Foundation was founded for a deepened and intensified commitment to Sustainable Seas Initiative. Victoria has attended at the Baltic Sea seminars the Sustainable Seas Initiative has organized annually in September. This year's seminar is on 3rd October.

I would agree. I don't think she would take her nearly seven month old son that far only for three days unless she was breast feeding. It's a long trip for any small child unless needed. We will have to see if rumours are true.
 
Victoria met today at Haga Palace Johan Rockström, professor of environmental science and executive director of the Stockholm Resilience Center. We will see if the court publishes a photo of the meeting.

Kronprinsessan Victoria på möte i FN_s generalförsamling _ Kungligt _ Expressen

On Monday evening Victoria was one of the few invited to a secret mingle. Together with the world's power elite, she was invited by Prime Minister Stefan Löfven to a reception at the Swedish United Nations in New York called "Global Deal Reception". The reception was a mingling that revolves around the prime minister's prestige project "Global Deal", described as an international variant of the Swedish model.
The reception was private and no media was allowed to attend into event. Socializing is described as a charge for Stefan Löfven's official launch of the "Global Deal" which takes place on Wednesday. The prime minister helds a seminar at UN headquarters. Victoria will attend to it too.
The Prime Minister's press secretary, Ingela Nilsson, confirms that the Prime Minister invited to a private reception in the evening.
"At the reception attended representatives of countries that have joined [to Global Deal, editor's note], trade unions, international organizations and other organizations," she wrote in an email.

wow, every royal seems to be in new york this week! victoria, madeleine, letizia and felipe, mary... i wonder if they get to meet together during their trip. :) who knows, maybe they even plan to stay in the same hotel to be able to catch up over dinner or coffee!
 
The court about Victoria's first day in New York:
She visited the Capsule Fashion Trade Show. The morning continued at UN headquarters with high-level meeting "Protracted refugee situations- what more can be done?" President Barack Obama has taken the initiative for a summit on the global refugee situation, US Leaders' Summit on Refugees. Sweden is co-host to the meeting along with Ethiopia, Jordan, Canada, Germany and Mexico.
In the afternoon, The Crown Princess attended the meeting on "Mobilizing Action to Implement SDG 14 in the run-up to the UN Conference on Oceans in 2017". The meeting was held at the Swedish Permanent Mission to the United Nations. The day ended with a reception for the Global Deal held at the Consul General's residence with Prime Minister Stefan Löfven as host.

victoria looks very tired in those pictures, maybe suffering from jet lag. interesting to see that her face without make up seems to have a lot of freckles (or sun marks?) but in her official engagements it doesn't show as such.

I suspect they might stay at their country's diplomatic mission house in New York. I don't know if those are officially called "embassies" or not, but, in any case, they are embassies to the UN, rather than embassies to the United States, which of course are in Washington D.C. instead.
 
Victoria attends right now at the "Urban Food Systems: The Nutrition Challenge" seminar at the United Nations. The event is hosted by the EAT Foundation in collaboration with the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Feeding the world’s growing population healthy food on a stable planet requires collaboration from all sectors of society and the role of cities is becoming increasingly important. The core objective of this high-level side event is to highlight the need to take a holistic approach to urban food system challenges, and to facilitate integrated strategies and new collaborations that leverage multiple benefits. The event will include a series of keynotes and an interactive panel discussion involving prominent experts from government, academia, the private sector, the UN and civil society.

It is still quite warm in NYC for this time of the year (the forecast high today was around 86 F or 30 C). The heat must have also affected Victoria, especially coming from Sweden where it is already much cooler.
