Thanks LadyFinn, it looks to be that Victoria is enjoying a lot of neutral colours this year and I love the look and I love that fedora. It just really suits her sense of fun, and she and Mette-Marit seemed to be having a ball.

The jury is still out on the dress for the Church Service.

Crown Princesses Victoria of Sweden and Mette-Marit of Norway highlight climate change | Daily Mail Online

Gallery: Elisabeth Holmqvist, a nature photographer, gave Victoria and Mette-Marit her framed photos of Älgafallet, the waterfall that is the border between Sweden and Norway and also the destination for the pilgrimage. Photos taken by her (and some of her husband).

12-year old Karl-Mogens Skovborg Larsen from Ed met Victoria and Mette-Marit at Älgafallet. He told to Sveriges Radio that he asked Victoria how it was to live at a Palace. Victoria told that when she was four, she used to run around at the halls, she thought it as really fun because the halls were so big, and they used to often receive guests. And then Victoria told that now they have another Palace and a house, says Karl-Mogens.

SVT2 sent Victoria's interview about her commitment to the Baltic Sea today.
It has been put to SVT Play. "You should not have to be a professor to do the right thing". Victoria, ceo Göran Lindstedt of Sustainable Seas Initiative and reporter John Chrispinsson discuss at the exhibition "A room and a kitchen" about what people can do in their everyday lives to protect the Baltic Sea.
Chrispinsson says that there are many things that the people want the crown princess to pay attentio to, why this touches her so much personally? Victoria says that it is very difficult for her not to be touched, this is partly about the nature and environment that we are very dependent of, but also the food we buy, we eat fish and want to continue that, and it is scary that the fish is not good and healthy. And that the environment is not feeling well.
Victoria says that the exhibition is good because there people can understand that with their own choices they can affect to the environment. As a mother to a small child it is rather scary that toys have a lot of different kinds of plastic nowadays. Victoria says that the authorities don’t have sufficient time to examine all the toys at the shops. She and Daniel are nowadays very aware of which toys Estelle gets. “She’s three and a half, and you don’t want to be too annoying as a mother or parent, but she understands what is wood and plastic and so on. And what is good and what is bad, so her involvement starts early. She asks what kind of wood is this”. Victoria says also that they talk a lot about sunscreen at home, all of them are not healthy at all. Skin is our biggest organ and it takes in everything. It is challenging to find products which are good for people and also to the environment. From the lectures she learned a lot about microplastics which are relatively unknown. And how much plastic there is everywhere, and it goes to the water and sea. The water purification plants can’t clean everything from the water.

This issue is clearly very important to Victoria.

"The future of the Baltic Sea is threatened. It is therefore important to be involved and contribute to the Sustainable Seas Initiative", says Victoria.

Still photos of Victoria at the IDEA International's 20th anniversary on Wednesday.
Media

Victoria honored Folke Bernadotte who was shot to death in Jerusalem.
- His destiny ended in a tragic reminder of peacemaking's difficulties and dangers, said a muted Crown Princess.
17th September was the day of death of Folke Bernadotte, son of Prince Oscar and cousin to king's grandfather Gustaf VI Adolf. He was known as a peace mediator in the Middle East. He was shot to death during a mission in Jerusalem in 1948. It was a great loss for the royal family. His memory persists for the royal family, for the king Folke was special because he was his godfather. Crown Princess Victoria chose to honor Folke Bernadotte when she gave her daughter the same name as his wife - Estelle.
Crown Princess Victoria attended a seminar on Folke Bernadotte's work and his effort in the Middle East peace mediation. Afterwards she was serious:
- Conflicts and wars leave wounds. Carve contradictions in the memories and hearts. His example, however, can inspire and guide those who carry on his work for peace and security in the world. For me it is an honor to pay tribute to Folke Bernadotte's memory and to spare a thought for all the devoted peace workers worldwide. I am grateful and glad to be here today and pay attention to Folke Bernadotte.
Victoria stayed for a long while and talked to all the guests. Sven-Eric Söder, Director General of the Folke Bernadotte Academy:
- We are incredibly grateful that the Crown Princess wanted to come here today. Folke Bernadotte is a very important person for the royal family. During the seminar we had, Crown Princess Victoria showed a strong and genuine interest.

I do not remember that the Crown Princess couple ever stated that Princess Estelle is named after Estelle Bernadotte.

No, they haven't ever stated that. But the press thinks so especially because princess Désirée's granddaughter is also called Estelle. When it was told that Victoria and Daniel give name Estelle to their daughter, Folke Bernadotte, son of Estelle Bernadotte, said that he was very honoured about that the little princess was named Estelle. The king´s mother Sibylla and Estelle Bernadotte were very good friends. He knew that Victoria had met Estelle in her childhood.
And another Estelle's son, Bertil Bernadotte, said before Estelle's christening, that his present will be something which belonged to his mother.

I only knew that the couple said the name was "vee close to their hearts". So for whatever reason, this one seems to be the more logical...
