Thank you for all the amazing photos and explanations as well

The photos with Vic with both Roth and the female survivor show her amazing heart. She really does invest herself into such a cause.

Great pics of the event today. It seems that Victoria made an impression on Emerich last year, that he asked her to come again and hear him speak. I wish I saw this kind of event more in Canada, it is so important. The younger generation needs to understand fully about those times. I regret I never got to learn first hand from my grandfathers. One died when I was 3. The other when he returned from war never spoke of it again (except to 1 son in law). We found out when he died, and the military sent someone to speak, that he was in the devil's brigade, something no one realized (we thought he was infantry). My grandmother though did tell me stories of living in London during the air raids. She left the safety of the north with 2 sisters. Her sisters were nurses, she wasn't so she volunteered to hand ammunition to the anti-aircraft gunners so she was literally in the middle of the London air raids.

One of your Grandfathers was one of The Devil's Brigade!?! Wow!! What those men did and experienced deserves our greatest of respect and honour. I thank God every day my Dad made sure I know about both our Military History as a Nation and as a Family, not to mention all he could teach me about Canadian History period because he knew that wouldn't be happening at School sadly.

He showed with his hand who should live, and who should die. Emerich and his father got to go to the left - to the work camp, and Edit and Elisabeth too. Their mother and the two youngest sisters were put to the right, straight to the gas chamber. Emerich was 14 months at five different concentration camps. When the liberation came, 8th may 1945, he was in Theresienstadt. His father had been shot two months earlier, and about the same time Edit died at another camp. Only Emerich and his sister Elisabeth survived, the rest of the family together with 40 relatives, died at the Holocaust. Emerich got into a hospital, he was 175 cm tall and weighed 34 kilos. After over four years at a hospital he came to Sweden, were his sister Elisabeth was living. He and his sister didn't talk about what had happened, it was too difficult. Until summer 1992, when Roth was walking in Stockholm and heard men scream "Sieg Heil!" And nobody cared or reacted. And then Roth knew that he had to do something and started The Association of Holocaust Survivors in Sweden.

Thank you for telling us about this remarkable man. While I loathe and despise what happened for Mr. Roth to realize what he had to do, I have the greatest of respect for all Holocaust Survivors, but especially for those such as Mr. Roth. Knowing what they all went through, I can't blame any for wanting to try and forget. We toss around the expression I've been through Hell and back w/out truly thinking about it all the time. These people though? These incredible people truly did go through Hell and back and for them to relive all of it over and over and over again....It just humbles me to my very core and God Bless Them for having the Courage to relive it over and over and over.

Very heart warming. You do have to wonder though...Who is the Charmer and who is the Charmed in those pictures? :). The affection both have for each other literally beams out from them.

Johan T Lindwall's report/Expressen's video from yesterday, with a warning about strong photos - Emerich Roth has a film about Holocaust with him at his lecture.
Victoria: "Of course one gets very touched. That is the intention. This must not be forgotten. That he has been here today, despite of his age, despite that it is tough to speak about these things, it is so incredibly precious. And important for all of us. And the film which was shown today about his history, it is what we have left for the future. The students and others should be able to understand, try to understand all that dreadful which has happened, to be able to have these memories alive". Lindwall asks about Victoria's visit to Auschwitz and Victoria says: "It is exceedingly tough but really important".
Lindwall says to Roth that Victoria was touched about what Roth told and she had said that we all must help that this is not forgotten. Roth says: "That is the most important thing, that gives me still motivation and strength to continue as long as I can. What we who have survived from Holocaust tell, that isn't much written at the history books or schoolbooks".

Perfectly said. We must never forget what happened, we must also pledge to keep telling what happened, otherwise it will be forgotten.

Victoria's, and the entire Royal Family's for that matter, commitment to keep the Memories alive by taking part in or becoming Patrons to those Organizations is so beyond important, there are no words to properly express it.

May we all take a moment today/tonight on this Holocaust Remembrance Day to stop and pray for all of the Victims and we will remember, so it may never happen again.

Victoria visited this afternoon The Stockholm Environment Institute. SEI was formally established in 1989 by the Swedish Government and it is an independent international research institute. Due to Victoria's work as UN’s advocate for the new Sustainable Development Goals she meets people who work with the environment and that kind of things.
Svensk Damtidning was at the place when Victoria arrived to the Institute.
How does it feel to be here today?
- Exciting! And lots of fun. It shall be enjoyable to get the time to sit down and talk, Victoria said.

Victoria's calendar was updated today. She meets Mogens Lykketoft, the President of the UN General Assembly on Monday 15th.

Today Victoria delivers the Global Change Award at the Stockholm City Hall.
The Global Change Award is an innovation challenge, initiated by H&M Conscious Foundation. By catalysing green, truly groundbreaking ideas the aim of the annual challenge is to protect the planet by closing the loop for fashion. The H&M Conscious Foundation is an independent non-profit global foundation initiated by H&M. The mission of the Foundation is to drive long lasting positive change and improve living conditions by investing in people, communities and innovative ideas. Through partnerships with experienced organizations around the globe, the Foundation now drives change within the three focus areas Education, Clean Water and Strengthening Women. Today, the Foundation is funded by the Stefan Persson family, founders and main owners of H&M. Since 2013, the family has donated 900 million SEK to the Foundation.
As the competition of Global Change Award closed on 31 October, more than 2 700 innovators from 112 countries had signed up to share their ideas. The five winners share a grant of €1 000,000 and get tailor-made support for one year from H&M Conscious Foundation, Accenture and KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. The Jury chose five winners and people have been able to vote for their favourites. The winner who gets the most votes, gets €300 000, the second €250 000, and the third, fourth and fifth €150 000.

Johan T Lindwall writes and tells at the video that when Victoria arrived to the gala, she was asked if there was three or four (meaning the work events left), but Victoria thought that they were asking if there would be three or four babies and laughed "No, No!". Victoria wore a dress from H&M Conscious Exclusive Collection Spring 2016.

Looking radiant and ready to pop. Over eight months pregnant and still actively doing duties I am not surprised she has only one more duty on the calendar. Time to focus on her little baby on the way.

Not a fan of the style of her dress, the neckline seems odd on her. Liked majority of her maternity clothes this time but this was a miss IMO.

Nice initiative set up by HM. I know Victoria is good friends with one of the HM heiresses, and often wears their clothes, so no surprise she would be involved in some of their non-profit work.

Victoria and Daniel are friends of the ceo of H&M, Karl-Johan Persson and his wife Leonie. Leonie Persson (born Gillberg) is Victoria's friend from childhood, they were at the same class at Enskilda gymnasiet. Victoria, Daniel and Estelle spent time with the Persson family in St. Maxime last summer. And Karl-Johan Persson told at one school visit of Prince Daniel Fellowship about how he and Daniel play golf together. Karl-Johan's father Stefan Persson is the king's friend, so the families have known for a long time.
Victoria has two events at her calendar now, one tomorrow and one on Monday. In addition to that, the king is at the Royal Technology Mission in Japan on 15th-20th February, so it seems that Victoria is the regent in Sweden on that time, since Margareta Thorgren said that Victoria wants to work until she gives birth.

Does regent actually entail anything? Sorry if this is a dumb question. Like does the king have weekly meetings or anything she has to attend in his stead. Or she just acts if something comes up

The swedish constitution says: "The Head of State shall be kept informed by the Prime Minister concerning the affairs of the Realm. The Government convenes as Council of State under the chairmanship of the Head of State when so required".
The king and Victoria attend at the meetings of the Council of State, one of them was yesterday. Normally there are only 3-4 meetings of the Council of State in a year. Maybe the prime minister and government also send daily information about the decisions of the government to the Head of State so that the Head of State is up to date what is happening at his country. The Marshal of the Realm is responsible for contacts with the government and parliament, the information goes through him.

Hmmm, when looking at the Video and the arrival of CP Victoria, who was the lady who accompanied her? It seems, she tried to wrap her arm all the time and it seems Victoria shaked her arm once to "get rid of the bond" (after 47 secs) .... followed by the lady who tried to hold her arm again.

I assume, she just wanted to give her a hold (high heels, heavy pregnancy, but......) but nevertheless .... an awkward moment.....
