Stricter safety at the Crown Princess couple's visit
Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel are in Karlstad on Wednesday on an official visit. It is their first official visit to Värmland together and several of the items on the program are open to the public.
As with other visits from members of the royal family in Värmland, the local police is responsible for security during the visit, in cooperation with the security police, Säpo.
- We will make an assessment of the security situation continuously and are well prepared. We have an ongoing intelligence and threat assessments, but how we work, we want to keep for ourselves. I think we have a good picture of the situation - but the situation may change soon, says Orla Kristoffersen.

Värmlands Museum displays three exhibitions on the theme of migration. Victoria and Daniel will among others take part of the international exhibition "Where do we migrate to?"

The Crown Princess and Prince Daniel were welcomed with flowers, gifts and drawings when they arrived in Karlstad. One and another shouted addition, "good luck with your baby" and was met by a smile from the crown princess couple. "It is our first visit here in Värmland together, so it feels great," said the Crown Princess.

A lot of people waited Victoria and Daniel in Kil, when they arrived to HVB accommodation for unaccompanied refugee children, which is in connection of Sannerud Elderly home. Some of the refugees work as trainees at the elderly home. Victoria and Daniel visited also the elderly home.

Migration, mental health, and culture. The Crown Princess couple had time for much during their one-day visit to Värmland. And certainly they seemed happy, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel joked with both with people of Värmland and the press.
Many had made their way to the Värmlands museum park, hoping to greet the popular Crown Princess couple. Ylva Sundholm from Fagerås got to do more than that:
- I got a big hug from the Crown Princess! She was very kind!
Ylva took the opportunity to submit multiple drawings.
- I had drawn hearts and had drawings to both of them. Victoria thanked so much and we talked quite a lot, actually.
At the Central Hospital Victoria wanted to know more about the foreign-born doctors: - Where are you from and how long have you been in Sweden?
The doctors showed the Crown Princess Couple cardiopulmonary resuscitation and how to sew up wounds.
Prince Daniel asked several questions and also told about when he himself was with at saving lives:
- It was me and some colleagues. It is of course dramatic when it occurs in real life, as opposed to stand here with a doll, and you'll be happy if there is a defibrillator nearby.

Have we seen a sequence of photos showing Daniel so attentive to Victoria? I don't think so. He is really enveloping her. Nice to see, albeit not usual. Victoria and Daniel attend this evening at Investor AB's centerary celebrations at the Grand Hôtel Stockholm which is owned by Investor AB (the Wallenberg family). There will be about 1500 guests in the evening. At the hotel there are exhibition areas for the companies, their innovations, to tell the story of Swedish industrial history throughout Investor's first hundred years, and technology-related material for the exhibition areas. The hosts of the evening are Chairman of Investor AB, Jacob Wallenberg, vice chairman Marcus Wallenberg and the CEO and President of Investor AB, Johan Forsell. This is also an event where the king and queen were told to attend, but because of the king's herniation they cancelled their attendance.

Victoria and Daniel visited on Tuesday Sveriges Radio (Radio Sweden) and Radio P4 Stockholm.
During the visit Victoria and Daniel had time to visit in several places at Radiohuset. The purpose of the visit was to gain knowledge of the Radio's work locally, nationally and internationally. One of the stops was P4 Stockholm. Victoria and Daniel were received by CEO Cilla Benkö and got a review of the work of Radio Sweden before they were taken to the Innovation team.
Then there was the display of P4 and P5 Stockholm's new venture, the mobile radio truck that for some months has made it possible to broadcast from virtually all possible locations in the county. Victoria and Daniel showed great interest in the mobile venture, and were impressed by the small portable transmitter bags, which P4 Stockholm reporters use to transmit radio and meet citizens.
Daniel asked several questions, among other things, how the P4 Stockholm is working to highlight the problems with the health differences between the more socio-economic disadvantaged areas in the county and inner city areas.
The evening ended after visiting the Traffic edition and Radiosporten, with a view to Ekot where the crown princess couple was with at a broadcast.

Victoria and Daniel visited on Tuesday Radio Sweden, and a highlight for them was to get to Radiosporten's studio to see how it looks behind the scenes. Dag Malmqvist and Petra Svensson leading Sportextra broadcast told how a broadcast goes and the crown princess couple was impressed how the program managers can keep track of all the arenas simultaneously.
On the TV was shown a replay of ice hockey match AIK-Tingsryd, and just during the visit AIK made two goals (0-2 to 2-2) which pleased AIK supporter Prince Daniel.

That is great! Unfortunaly, Milan is too far away for me. I'm glad we'll see them all, as Victoria has not been seen for quite a while.

The Crown Princess and Prince Daniel will visit Rome and Milan in Italy between 15-17 December with the purpose to strengthen the already good relations between the countries and the positive image of Sweden in Italy. The focus of the visit will be on health and culture as well as Swedish business.

The Minister for Upper Secondary School and Adult Education and Training, Anna Ekström, is accompanying the Crown Princess Couple on the visit.

15 December, Rome
- Visit to the Chamber of Deputies
The visits starts with a meeting with the Speaker of Chamber of Deputies, Laura Boldrin. Later Speaker Boldrin will show Sala delle donne for the Crown Princess Couple and Minister Ekström.

- Visit to the Bridgettines sisters
The Crown Princess Couple and Minister Ekström later visit Bridgettines sisters, where they are received by Mother Tekla och Mother Fabia. There are about 600-700 Bridgettines sisters in 55-70 convents around the world.

- Visit to the football club Roma AS
The Crown Princess Couple and Minister Ekström visit the football club Roma AS and there project for young people with disabilities.

- Reception at the Swedish residence
The Crown Princess Couple and Minister Ekström attend the traditional Lucia reception at the residence of the Swedish ambassador. Host is the Swedish ambassador to Italy, Robert Rydberg.

16 December, Rome and Milan
Rome
- Visit to the Swedish Institute in Rome
First on the second day the Crown Princess Couple and Minister Ekström visit the Swedish Institute in Rome and will be informed on current research, they will also be showed around the institute. The Institute was founded by Crown Prince Gustav (VI) Adolf in 1925. The Institute is the base for Swedish science and research and archeological findings in Italy.

- Visit to FAO - Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations
Crown Princess Couple and Minister Ekström visit the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and are received by General-Director José Graziano da Silva for bilaterals talks.

Later the Crown Princess attends the seminar ”Step it up together with rural women to end hunger and poverty”.

Milan
- Visit to the concept store Frip
The visit to Milan starts in the concept store Frip. Crown Princess Couple and Minister Ekström will meet the founder Anna Stener and presents how it is to tell Swedish fashion in Italy.

- Visit to the Swedish-Italian Chamber of Commerce Assosvezia
The Crown Princess Couple and Minister Ekström attend the annual Lucia reception at the Swedish-Italian Chamber of Commerce Assosvezia.

17 December, Milan
- Visit to the research hospital San Raffaele

- Visit to Volvo Group
The Crown Princess Couple and Minister Ekström visit Volvo Group and their work on sustainable transport solutions.
- Visit to Björk Swedish Brasserie
