Default Who is RUMOURED to be pregnant?

In co-working with Liv, to make her work a bit easier, I have created the "Who is rumoured to be pregnant thread". This thread is for rumours and speculations on princesses if they are pregnant.

To see which pregnancies are OFFICIALLY confirmed, click the following link:

There rumours that Mette-Marit is expecting again (what would be fun, since Maxima is for 95% surely pregnant, and last time it was also Maxima who announced it first).

Also some people say that Mary looks a bit as if she is expecting, but this rumour is not that strong as for Maxima and Mette-Marit.

Who says that it's 95 per cent for certain that Maxima is pregnant? Is that the per centage being cited by some publication or a random number someone's plucked out of thin air?

Maxima and W-A will be holding a press conference on Tuesday.. Unless they're getting a puppy or moving to Argentina permanently (I'm joking) we're guessing that they are going to announce her pregnancy! I think that is exactly what Queen Beatrix needs to get through this difficult year: lots and lots of grand-babies!!!

Maybe that is what they are going to address, the difficult year I mean. They could be holding a press conference to thank their people for their thoughts and prayers during this time. Just a thought that it might not be a pregnancy announcement.

But I am so with the thought the MM is pregnant. She is wearing looser clothing and just has that glow.

Good point. That could be the reason. After the passing and itīs the holiday season, it would make sense to thank everybody.

I don't mean to be a spoil sport, because I think it would be fabulous if Maxima were pregnant, but I am a bit weary of all the "rumours" and "alleged" times various princesses have been pregnant.

Remember all those swirling rumours of Mary being pregnant not so long ago? Even skeptical me fell for it and it couldn't have been further from the truth -- Mary was having gullbladder surgery!

And how many times has Maxima been rumoured to be pregnant? Every time she shows up at an event in an outfit that isn't super flattering or if she's merely having a bloated day the rumour mill starts up that she's pregnant. Remember back in July when it was alleged that in "three weeks time" Maxima would announce her second pregnancy? By that account Maxima should be at least 7 months pregnant along now ...

I think there could be a lot of different reasons for the press conference -- they could be thanking the public for their support this past year as someone else mentioned, they could be announcing that they are moving or even that Queen Beatrix is abdicating -- highly unlikely -- but I'm just saying that one set of rumours can be as preposterous as the next one.

Um let me add to this thread:
Maxima, Mette-Marit, Mary, Letizia or is she infertile this week???, Mathilde, Claire, Sophie...is that everyone now?
There are rumours EVERY WEEK SOMEWHERE that one of these princesses is pregnant.
This is such a silly thread. I could post here that I read that ini three weeks Sophie is going to make an announcement but that doesn't mean that she's pregnant too.
I thought it was against the rules here to talk about rumours???

In spain this is the rumour
Letizia is not the one that is pregnant one because here in Spain said that letzia have a abortion of ex husband's son and after that she ties the womb or something similar and for that reason she subjecting to a treatment of fertility but that not given results and many doubt that she can give us a heir.

There has been some concern expressed in regards to this thread as it violates our Forum Posting Rules and Guidelines, in regards to discussions of rumours:

http://www.theroyalforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3547

While I do understand that the spirit of this thread is in good fun, some of the more recent comments have been quite speculative and quite hurtful in their comments, such as implying and discussions of infertility which are not credible in the least.

At this time I will allow for this thread to remain open but ask that all members maintain the light-heartedness and fun spirit that this thread was intended to be when it was openend.

I ask that no comments and allegations of infertility, abortions, previous births, etc. be mentioned unless there is credible medical information to back up such allegations.

If such types of comments persist, I will be forced to close this thread.

How disgusting that such things are being said!! I'm sure that her ability to provide an heir was checked out before the engagement was announced. King Juan Carlos seems very concious of the fragility of his dynasty & I can't see Queen Sophia allowing her son to by tyed into a marriage that wasn't going to produce children. This was the woman who, at one stage, said that her son would only marry a princess like she had been.

As meac has stated above, it is only a rumour that is circulating in Spain.

And as I've stated above, this particular subject of discussion is quite contemptuous as we have no proof that it seriously is an issue for Letizia.

This line of discussion will stop immediately otherwise I will be closing this thread.

It is one thing to discuss if Princess X looks like she is pregnant it is something else altogether to say that Princess X has infertility problems due to a previous abortion.

Well, now some of the M-princesses (Marilene, Mabel, Maxima) are pregnant again, I wonder if the other M-princesses (Mary, Mette-Marit) also have wonderfull news to share in a couple of months

When Mathilde was in China, I thought she was wearing the loose shawls and ponchos to maybe cover up a belly, but looking at the pictures of her over Christmas I don't think so. It would be nice for Philippe and Mathilde to have another baby though. Elisabeth and Gabriel are so cute.

Default CP Mette-Marit pregnant again - think not!

I've been following this discussion that has been going wether CP Mette-Marit is pregnant or not. I don't think so! First of all, it's less than one year since Princess Ingrid Alexandra was born! Secondly, I don't think it's common in Norway to have children come so close (there is at least one whole year or more between the children) at least that is what I've observed (some glossy magazines' horoscopes says that there will be an announcement late 2005, but then again these horoscopes are hoaks!). Finally, not all women loose all the weight they put on during the pregnancy during a couple of months. Some doesn't loose them at all. And they might appear as if pregnant because of it.

So perhaps CP Mette-Marit doesn't think much of spending hours every day on a treadmill or doing sit-ups, perhaps she would spend the hours playing and caring for the princess instead?!? Or perhaps she had a bloated day when the photos were taken?!?

I think it shows the rest of the women in Norway (and even the world) that you don't have to stress about to loose your "pregnancy-kilos" in a jiffy and be happy the way you are and value other things than your looks! Anyway this is my opinion about it:)
