You have also forgotten HH Princess Elisabeth of Denmark, born 1935. She'll turn 70 on May 8th.

I wonder if King Harald and Queen Sonja will have a joint birthday bash for their 70th birthdays, as they had for their 60th, and gather royals from all over?

Yes, I read that she wants the focus to be on her and Prince Philip's 60th Wedding Anniversary in November 2007.

Pff, seeing Juan-Carlos and Beatrix on the list of people who are almost 70 gives me a slight shock! For me they both still seem so young and energetic!

I'm looking for a recent photo of Princess Catherine of Greece.
She just turned 93 yesterday! Does anyone recognize her in any of the wedding photos?

I don't think that Paola will celebrate her birthday in a grand style, the Belgians (and the Spanish) seem to consider these things private matters. I haven't heard anything about a grand celebration for Queen Beatrix, she had one 10 years ago and HM generally dislikes to be in the middle of such things, so I don't expect anything.
