Princess Stephanie & family for Fight Aids Monaco and UNAIDS - Part 2

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
That means she was at South Africa? I'm so glad to see photos of her doing this work. Go Stephanie!

So she did go to South Africa hope we get more Pictures and information but Kudos to her Africa is the largest Aids/HIV infected nation good to see her going a great thing

Thanks a lot for posting that link, FILIPA!

Hopefully the trip will be covered in a magazine story, not
only as we love to see new pictures of Steph ;), but also in
order to highlight the problems and developments in that
region. According to the article 5,2 million people (3,2 million
of these, women) in South Africa are living with HIV.
Steph also met Nelson Mandela's wife Graca Michel during
her stay. So for all those who can't read that French article,
it's worth being translated as the programme has been quite
full and interesting.

I look forward to more pictures. :flowers:

I am following Stéphanie's work against AIDS and for helping people suffering from AIDS and I am wondering how much difference Stephanie makes worldwide in this field. I would like to know if she is "only" a speak person, PR person, or if she really digs into the politics, the real fight and if she is good in making a point, arguing and reasoning. I can't tell since I don't understand any of the interviews given in French and most of them are in French. Why does she not give interviews in English, which would be understood by many more?

Are all the charity events she attends and hosts income bringing due to her being present or are they as good even without her name being all over?

How many hours a day does she work with and for her organisation, is it like a full time job for her? Or does she work a few hours a week and mostly with PR?

Can anybody please give a bit more information?

I just feel I would like to get a little bit more hard facts, although I do admire her work that has been going on for so long.

Thanks a lot for posting that link, FILIPA!

Stephanie was given a title by the United Nations AIDS programme - Goodwill Ambassador. She is not the only one. She has addressed the United Nations General Assembly.
Have a look at the United Nations website and "search" for UNAIDS or Princess Stephanie of Monaco.....

Thanks for the link, FILIPA!

The print version of the French magazine Gala has an interview with
Steph about her visit in South Africa that stands under the motto "I
love life, that's why I fight". A very nice interview with nice pics, in
which she talks about what she's seen and how she works: on a very
personal level, listening to everyday life stories. That's why it's been
a working and not a state visit with lots of trappings.

Here are the pics I liked best, one in her hotel in Johannesburg and one
during her visits: ** Steph 1 ** Steph 2 **

For the whole interview and more pics the magazine is worth buying
I would say.

Amazing find thanks Filpa ,The pictures are beautiful and heartwarming amazing what she is doing .:flowers:

^ Looks like it could be a Blackberry with a white Protective cover

Thanks guys. I figured it was something like that.

Thanks, Renata ... but it's not a hospice really it's just a house for people to live in and a way back into life ...

Thanks a lot for posting, FILIPA! The pics were taken today at
the harbour of Monaco on the occasion of the first birthday of
the monthly radio show "Jungle Fight".

Here's an article about it: * Jungle Fight fête ses un an... *

Here are two pics of the anniversary show with Steph yesterday,
April 23, that was recorded on a boat instead of inside the studio:

** Pic 1 ** Pic 2 **

Pictures are great, thanks ....The show was great as well ... I'll try and find the podcast to post ... Steph was way cool ...
Whenever they went into a break the presenter went : ' We'll be right back with 'JUngle Fight' and la Princesse "....and all the young students that were there completed chanting "Stéphanie " ... kinda like at a soccer match were the players first names are given by the speaker and the crowd chants their last name ...

Looks very impressive, and lots of wood everywhere.
There'll be a big party to inaugurate the building, no doubt....
