I thought the young king from Bhutan and his new wife were supposed to attend? Anyone see them? Or hear why they were not there?

Monarchs and their consorts. Not just monarchs alone. Margareta was said to be accompanying her father to the lunch, which she did as there's a picture of her arriving.

Actually the Princess was there. I checked on the images from PA, and saw a picture of her arriving with her father.

I wonder what they do with all the ADC's and Ladies in Waiting that accompanied the guests on their arrival.......separate lunch in the staff dining room?

Doesn't he have 14 wives? Don't know much about him, except that he is not well-liked by a segment of his people.

I'm a bit surprised the Crown Princess attended the lunch though since it was supposed to be for Monarchs (and consorts) alone.

I heard that her mother has not been well for a while so it may be the reason that she could not make it.

Mozah and Philip look like they'd be a bit of a dynamic duo.

All the pictures of the BRF particularly the fashion pictures seem to be around Albert and Charlene. I find that interesting.

They do!

I also love this picture of Elizabeth and Beatrix because you can see that they genuinely like each other and are friends. The expression on Beatrix's face is just so happy and joyful. You can definitely see where Amalia gets her spark and spirit.

In fairness, after the whole wedding fiasco in Monaco last year, they're probably the only other royals that most British people would even vaguely recognise.

HM did seem especially thrilled to see Beatrix.
