The mg car parade I think is every year. In the film "The Queen at 80" from the BBC you can see the Queen. She stands there for more than 90 min.

On Her Majesty's secret chicness

Despite being on show for her whole life, the Queen is only now being appreciated for her sense of style

As to "being appreciated for her sense of style" only, Skydragon,
I think most royal ladies are faced with that kind of problem

IMO the Queen's wardrobe [including hats & shoes!] has markedly improved over the past 10 years or so. She is wearing a much greater variety of colors/fabrics than ever before. Clearly she's been given and has decided to take some sound fashion advice! Even someone as professional in appearance as the Queen can use a makeover every so often

I agree. During the 80s--when I started taking an interest in the British Royal Family--the only outfit the Queen wore that I considered truly stylish was what she wore to Andrew and Sarah's wedding! Her clothes were always beautifully fitted and of the best materials, but I have to admit that she's looked her best as a mature woman in these last 10 or 15 years.

Prince Philip starts the ancient custom of 'Beating the Bounds
of Berkshire', Windsor Castle, Britain - 02 May 2009

Beating the Bounds is an ancient custom observed in many English
parishes. The community would walk the boundaries of the parish to
share the knowledge of where the boundaries lay, and to pray for
protection and blessings for the lands. Between the 2nd & 10th of
May 2009, members of the public will have the opportunity to stroll
around part or even all of the boundaries of Berkshire whilst raising
funds for Age Concern Berkshire and their own chosen charities.

She wore that outfit at Ascot in 2005 and in either Calgary or Edmonton that May. I usually don't notice outfits, but that one's very distinctive to me.
