 Prince Philip was presented with a birthday cake as he had his birthday yesterday, in some way I found it quite touching to see him holding it ---> Pic And they've met with the Duke of Kent during today's visit to Dorset as he's Patron of the Tank Museum ---> Pic. I hadn't noticed that before as there's only that single pic in the gallery

The Massed Bands of the Royal Marines perform their spectacular Beating Retreat ceremony on London's Horse Guards..Musicians from the 5 Royal Marines Bands paraded in celebration of the birthday of His Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. The birthday celebration, performed only once every three years, has particular meaning for the Royal Marines, since the Duke of Edinburgh is their Captain-General. The magnificent pageant of military music, precision drill and colour dates back to the 16th century and is regarded as a piece of living history.
