That's a fantastic picture of QE. She certainly doesn't look anything close to her age!

It seemed that the Queen has been taking inspiration from this season's catwalks with her on-trend pink pastel outfit today.

The 87-year-old joined her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh on a visit to Lloyd's of London.

Prince Phillip joked about whether the Royal Collection is insured for damage by mice and asked about financial cover for the priceless paintings, furniture, silverware and ceramics which make up the collection amassed by sovereigns over the centuries.

That sums it up well. When I see her smile, I can't help but grin too. Very contagious.

I had been wondering why we haven't seen any pictures of The Queen out riding in a while. It's good to see her still at it. The fell ponies are more my kind of thing too.

Wonderful! I can only hope that at 88 I am half as active as this wonderful woman. She truly is an inspiration and a great example of what one can achieve.

I like the photograph of Queen Elizabeth presenting an award to PC David Edwards during a police horse shown in 1986.
