Our beloved, shy, somewhat reserved, but kind, warm, caring, forgiving, non-judgmental, wise and calm Queen looked to be in great spirit today as usual.

The Queen, accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh, visited St. Columba's Church, Pont Street, London, to celebrate the Sixtieth anniversary of the current Church building - December 3, 2015.

Terrific in turquoise! The Queen opts for a bold style on an anniversary visit to St Columba's Church in London

Resplendent in her favourite bold hue, the Queen was all smiles as she paid a visit to a church in London on Thursday afternoon.

The 89-year-old monarch opted for a vibrant turquoise coat dress with navy suede lapels, which she teamed with a matching hat adorned with a blue flower.

The radiant royal, who was accompanied by her husband, Prince Philip, 94, paid a visit to St Columba's Church to celebrate its 60th anniversary in London.

The Queen has stepped out for tea and ginger bread with the ladies of the Women's Institute near her Sandringham home. The 89-year-old Sovereign made her annual visit to the group in West Newton, Norfolk, where she joined around 30 members to hear guest speaker, television presenter Sian Williams, and enjoy delicious homemade cake.

She is president of the branch and has been a member since 1953, when she was pictured laughing with local women over afternoon tea at the village hall just over half a mile from her country home.

I learn something new every day. I had no idea that the WI was made famous when Calendar Girls came out. I was sure I had heard about it before then...:whistling:

The Queen visited The Norfolk Hospice, Tapping House to officially open its new facility - February 4, 2016.

Our beloved Queen used to be quite spontaneous and very chatty when she was doing her engagements, but as I wrote in this post, Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh Current Events 26: December 2014 - Page 21 - The Royal Forums she rarely speaks with people these days and seems more and more reserved. But at 90 she still shows up with her beautiful smile.

While there, she met patients and bereaved relatives including Jack Plummer, nine, from King's Lynn, whose mother Amee Walton died from a brain tumour aged 29 in 2013.

He presented the Queen with two teddy bears - one for Prince George and one for Princess Charlotte - on behalf of bereavement charity Nelson's Journey.

On tags attached to the bears, he wrote personal messages to George and Charlotte, saying: "Please look after this bear like Nelson's Journey did to me."

Jack explained that his mother was looked after by the charity's Hospice at Home service.

He added: "The Queen seemed really interested in the support I've had and said the prince and princess would appreciate the presents."

The Queen visited a hospice to celebrate more than 30 years of service to the community near the Sandringham Estate. The Norfolk Hospice, Tapping House, is based in the village of Hillington a little over three miles from the estate where the Queen spends much of winter.

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh received Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah of Kuwait at Sandringham House for a meeting and luncheon - February 5, 2016. We almost never see pictures from engagements at Sandringham, we're only seeing this one thanks to the Kuwaitis.

Her Majesty told the crowd that she was ‘sorry to be leaving again’ after the service at the church of St Peter and St Paul at West Newton, on the Sandringham Estate.

She looked relaxed and well-rested as she collected flowers and gifts from the well-wishers that had braved the Sunday morning chill to see her.

Together with the Duke of Edinburgh, they arrived in the Royal Bentley shortly before 11am for the service conducted by the Rector of Sandringham, Canon Jonathan Riviere.

Argggghhh! Why does the daily fail insist on saying she has stayed longer than normal at Sandringham. She always stays until after accession day!

That always was my understanding too. She remained at Sandringham until after the anniversary of the death of her father has passed.

I saw on TV in french a fim about Prince Philip.
Very intersting , what a terrible Childhood he had !

You hit the nail on the head Goldberry! After looking at the recent pictures of HM at the Gold Service Scholarship event, I was drawn to look further down the page with many other recent pictures of The Queen and then some older shots (like her wedding photo).

If we were able to actually find someone that lived under a rock or something and had absolutely no clue who Queen Elizabeth II is, I would wager that if asked what they think her age to be, it wouldn't be anywhere near the 90 year mark. Personally I think its the happiness that shines through her facial expressions when she smiles that keeps her forever young. Twinkling eyes with laughter and smiles that light up a room will do that.

BTW: Welcome to TRF and the wide, wild world of anything royal!
