CBC's coverage will begin at 3pm tomorrow.
All the other major networks will obviously be covering the opening of parliament and throne speech as well.

CPAC should carry live coverage on their website: (their coverage will begin a little earlier, at 1 pm ET)

Do most governments of the commentwealth with parliments have the same custom when elected the Speaker must pretend to fight so the PM and Op Leader are required to "drag" the person to the throne?

Pictures of the opening of parliament and Speech from the Throne (Polfoto)

This year's speech was a lot shorter and less formal but all the ceremony and rituals were still there, very fascinating to watch.

I also love her voice and they way she speaks. I also noticed that it was shorter and less formal which I didnt like but it was still nice. I love all the costumes. Whats the second order she is wearing? It looks like the Order of New Zealend but that wouldnt make sense?

mmm that is an intersting puzzle. She doesn't appear to be wearing the second order when she walked in. I checked her bio, she has Order of Canada, Order of Miliatry Merit, Order of the Police Forces and Canadian Forces Decoration but none of them look like that second order.

Ok it is the Canadian Forces Decoration. The picture of the award on the website looks different but it looks the same in this picture http://www.gg.ca/media/pho/index_e.asp?GalleryID=153 still don't know why she wasn't wearing it when she walked in.
