That black and white outfit is really smart. I'm a little over half HM's age and would wear it myself!

I like the gown alright, but I agree that the necklace is just too much for that dress. The tiara looks like its worn too far toward the forehead. Seems like it's usually worn a bit further back. Perhaps a plain diamond necklace and a less dramatic tiara would have shown the dress to much better effect.

First, I just do not like that ruby swag necklace; it looked dated to me. Second, the tiara is not quite right, and the ruby order disappears in the pattern of the dress .Not her best look at all.

I do have to mention though, I love the queen, but she has looked particularly grumpy during this trip. My first thought at seeing some of the pics of her looking extremely serious while at the mosque, were "this is one lady i would not like to anger!" she looks like she can be quite scary when she's angry.
If the article mentioning Prince Philip coughing etc. wasn't blown out of proportion, perhaps she was just worried about him?

The Turkish news agency, Anadolu Agency, has tonnes of photos from throughout the Queen's visit. Just select the English version and type in Queen Elizabeth into the search bar to pull up all the photos in reverse chronological order.

The Queen looked a bit tired and not very amused in some photos. The old lady still rocks though...Her day outfits were really fashionable but the evening clothes she wore at the state banquet didn't really suit her body shape. The earings and the necklace were weird but the tiara looked great. It wasn't certainly her best choice of evening wear.

Perhaps she was feeling the ill effects of wearing a vineyard to dinner. She might have fermented.

I don't think many people would appreciate your comment, funny as it may have seemed at the time!
