Looking at the recent Irene pics, I have noticed that the Urdangarin kids are keen on hand waving

Yes, they are. They don't seem to be too camera shy either.

Irene's getting chubby

Question: Why are Juan and Pablo usually known by their middle names too? I mean, why are they called Juan Valentin and Pablo Nicolas (but not PN Sebastian)? I also notice that Victoria and Froilan are referred to by their whole names, although not as often.

For Pablo and Juan, it's probably because there are other people in the family with the same name (i.e. King Juan Carlos, Prince Pavlos of Greece). Miguel and Irene don't have middle names besides Todos los Santos. There are not any members of the royal families of Greece and Spain who are still alive named Victoria (to my knowledge). Froilan is used in the media because it fits the mischeivious side of him that they want to portray better than Felipe does. Leonor and Sofia are easily distinguished because they carry the title Infanta.

That was sort of long winded, but I hope it answered your question accurately.

Irene is a little cutie-pie! I love her blonde curls, chubby cheecks, and round tummy! I'm not sure which of the brothers she looks most like, probably Miguel, IMO. And the boys are so nice to her. She is probably spoiled to death by her parents and older brothers, as she's the baby and the only little girl!

Yeah, Lacoste shirts have really come back into style. The kids in this family always seemed dressed fun, but also trendy too.

I found a very charming pic of Pablo Nicolas which is the proof that now he is not afraid by the press.
