Louise reminds me of someone in the ancestry on her father's side...but I can't think of who right at the moment.

James looks like The Princess Royal.

I have always thought she looks like her grandmother and Queen Mary :flowers:

What a surpirsing treat! It' so lovely to see them together more often now that they years pass by. Hopefully, they will delight us with such appereances in the time to come. It's so wonderful to see appropriate outings for chidlren.

GettyImages has some lovely videos of the family's visit here.

The children call Edward "Papa" which I think is lovely. The clip of James putting the cricket down his dad's neck is hilarious. It's so lovely to see them all together as a family - they look so normal. I do love the Wessex's!

I have always thought she looks like her grandmother and Queen Mary :flowers:

I think Louise looks a lot like Princess Mary (the only daughter of George and Mary). Mary and siblings + 2.

Louise is 99% Windsor with her mum's dimples for the 1%!

:previous: Yes she does indeed look like you could swap Louise for Mary in the pic. The Teck genes seemed to be strong, both in Princess Mary and her niece Elizabeth and now Louise. :flowers:

It's always perhaps where Louise gets her curly hair from as her hair even looks like Mary's!

Thank you to everyone who shared the photos and videos from yesterday :flowers: They were lovely to see, I do agree that the Wessexes come across as very normal.

Lady Louise is getting so tall now! I also agree that she looks a lot like Queen Mary, and in one of the Getty Images videos she also looked like HM from one angle. I don't know who James looks like at the moment, but I personally don't think he looks especially like anyone in the royal family. Perhaps there is someone on Sophie's side of the family who he resembles.

Lady Louise is extremely tall! She'll end up being taller than Sophie no doubt.

Sophie is in London today opening the new HQ of Girlguiding and she's brought Lady Louise too as she's a girlguide.

Louise and Sophie

The guiding uniform has changed so much since I wore it. I never had a trendy jacket like Louise's.

Again, it's so lovely to see Lady Louise accompanying her mom on these visits. She looks super trendy as well!

James reminds me of Arthur and Samuel Chatto when they were about his age

It's great that Sophie brought Louise with her. I feel like the Wessex children have been invited to more and more public events over this year and last year, hopefully that means they'll start accompanying their parents to more engagements in the near future.

I'd never made the connection with Samuel and Arthur Chatto and James; but I've just been looking at old pictures of them and you're right! They really do look like each other, but I now think that James resembles Samuel more than Arthur, especially in this photo, which I thought was a photo of James at first until I read the article title:

Thank you for taking the time to check it out, I find the whole resemblance thing in the BRF quite amazing.

...
Well, I hope they select appropriate and limited events.
I think it will be interesting to see if/when Lady Louise helps her Mom out with the vision charities.

Thank you for this. Only one problem...It was too short!! They really make a great team don't they and also compliment each other wonderfully as well too.

Edward's comment about talking to his Parents about slowing down? I've got one here too. Mom's not 90, but it's the same thing, you try to tell her to slow down? Good Luck!!

This really is delightful to watch. Thanks again!! :)

The Countess of Wessex as Patron of England Hockey met the chairman and team members at Bisham Abbey, National Sports Centre, Marlow, today, April 28:

While I'm sure it was an accident, at the same time, I'm betting Sophie had to fight not to snicker a wee bit over it. She's got a heck of a shot and I certainly would not want to be facing Sophie out there on the Field during a game.

Just wondering....Has Team GB qualified for Rio? Haven't heard, so...Wondering... :)
