To get away from stockings for a moment, today Sarah has joined Olivia Newton-John, Cliff Richard and Joan Rivers on Olivia's trek along the Great Wall of China in support of breast cancer research. The participants who have been with Olivia for a while are finding the going tough but Olivia said that each person is carrying the memory of someone dear they have lost to cancer, and it is this which is keeping them determined to walk as far as they can.

On a lighter note, I can't find any news links to Sarah and Joan's arrival as yet, but here's the link to Joan's China blog which is amusing enough. Sarah and Joan were shown on our TV news tonight; Sarah was a touch earnest, while Joan, as to be expected, was a scream.

Wow--she's walking the Great Wall? That is impressive!
That's really just bad luck about the television show; she's worked hard to get it going and then this happens.

The main party has already traversed the renovated part of the Great Wall; the section shown tonight where Sarah and Joan have joined the group is unrestored and quite rough.

Rough or not, walking the Great Wall is truly an amazing experience. I really envy the Duchess and I admire her for what is obviously a difficult task.
Thank you for the info, Warren--

That's great...I wonder who Sarah is walking in honor of. Is it her former flatmate...Carolyn Cottrell.

That's cool! I do the Relay for Life every year as well as the Komen, being a 14 year cancer survivor. Great Wall, wow. I'll have to check out the mileage on that. My buddy saw Olivia in concert last year and said she was as great and beautiful as ever!

She looks quite understanded and professional. But what's that bubble of hair on the top of her head? Oh....Sarah.

Stuck in the '80's? Again, as long as she's not singing "Tainted Love" I guess I'll be okay with it.

Better not tell that to the millions who have a fringe, especially the models!

Fringe or not, I think she is nicely turned out.

Thanks for the photos, Ice. I like Pss B's dress is the last lot but I don't think the belt goes well. Her hair is beautiful, Sarah's too.

The Duchess looks absolutely delicious, and... no patterned stockings!
(Do you think she reads the forum?)
