I'm just catching up on this thread. I think these pics are delightful. They show a group of unpretentious, happy people having a good time. I don't care what they're wearing; they make me smile. Thanks for posting, iceflower.

That later pic of Sarah with the brown bag slung across her body suggests she's well and truly given up trying to look good for the cameras.

Does anyone know if Sarah is friendly at all with any of the Spanish royals? Is there some sort of protocol for royals where if royals from another country are visiting a member of the RF of that country welcomes them or at least sends a message? Even if it's an unofficial - like a vacation - event?

I would imagine that it could be difficult for the Spanish Royals as Sarah is no longer a member of the British Royal family.
Charles has always been friendly with King Juan Carlos & Queen Sofia, but I don't know if Andrew or Sarah were/are.

Yesterday Sarah, Bea, Dave and Eugenie ( not pictured on the
following pics) went to the Locanda Locatelli restaurant, London,
Britain - 01 Sep 2008 - not sure if Sarah's outfit was inspired by
her daughter's looks

Thanks, Ice. I don't think that outfit is flattering at all to Sarah. It's way too young a style for her, imo. Pss B looks more mature and put together.

I like the jacket, the skirt, and the heels. But that blouse!! A simple shell would have looked so much nicer.

Thanks, Ice. Sarah's been looking pretty rough lately, imo. I don't know if it's all the traveling - and jet lag - or if it's too much sun or what. I wish she'd wear something more age-appropriate. That dress w the cuts up the sides just doesn't flatter her.

What the heck is she wearing? That is one of the most unflattering looks I've ever seen on Sarah (and there are a lot choose from). Picture 4 especially--I at first thought she was holding something up in front of her. GHASTLY.

Yikes! There are two splits in that skirt! And as for that black and white satin top: . Add the long, limp hair, apparent lack of makeup, and slouch and the result is not a good look. She needs a stylist, a hairdresser, and a deportment class or two.

I'm the very last person who should be criticising how someone looks and dresses, but people don't want to photograph me and publish my picture in magazines. If they did I would make an effort. Sarah must either lack the ability to discern whether or not she looks good, or doesn't care.

Goodness!!!! It looks like a playboy bunny's suit in extra-extra large size. She has gained some weight and in photo number 4 she looks a bit sloshed.
She has never been a beauty but she can look elegant if she tries........

Oh My, my first thought was that she was pregnant (sorry Sarah). I think the camera angle has contributed to the unflattering look, but the outfit is yet another disaster. Still if she is happy with the look and her boyfriend is, who are we to comment?

I thought so too. Now with a bit of imagination, if this dress/ensemble was all in black (sans slits) with a pair of high heel pumps and an updo, she'd look 100% better that these pictures.

That slit is also entirely too high up her thigh in that first picture and Duchess is correct--those flats are not helping her at all. I've not really seen where those ballet shoe flats work for anyone who isn't very young. It looks all wrong--a lady of her means with her high profile should play up her fashion sensibilities with a kitten heel at least!
