I note that the Wikipedia entry has been amended to show "citation needed" against Zara's name in the list of RFO recipients. I expect the next step will be the removal of her name from the list.

Here are some pictures of Zara from the Countryside Day at Cheltenham Racecourse, Gloucester, Britain - 16 Nov 2007
Zara looks good, although it seems to have been a pretty cold day.

It is a bit on the chilly side in the UK at the moment. It always pleases me to see that Zara rides in the 'old fashioned' way, rather than the 'new' style that IMO looks such a mess and can cause such havoc on a soft sided mount.

Her chestnut thoroughbred is Toytown, right?

Ok, maybe this was posted already, but just in case........ it's too good to risk being missed.

Zara shared her reminiscences in advance of this year's Rugby World Cup.... fascinating glimpse into the charming world of Miss Phillips.

I just love how Zara said she gets texts from her "fellow WAGs" (of rugby players). As if Zara is just a WAG....

How sad that is about her friend. Zara is doing a dangerous sport, but then again what sports aren't dangerous. I play golf, which most people think is not dangerous, and I got hit in the nose and it was fractured. Anyways, my condolences to the girls family.

How sad. People tend to think of horse riding as a fairly gentile past-time but as anyone wishing to get insurance will tell you, it is classed as a dangerous sport by many!

I once stood on a tennis ball, fell and broke my wrist, everyone thought it hilarious as I was only taking my friends a drink!

Yes, remember Christopher Reeve blew his spine out off a horse.
That is so very sad they lost them both!

Russophile, I live in Bedfrod NY where the Reeves did. Their son graduated from my daughter's private school right after Dana died. I am a professional Jumper rider. Please believe me when I say CR had no business being on that course with his skill level (blame trainer Aliced Debany Clero). I have tremendous respect for those that take up this sport as an adult, because if you dont learn the center of gravity as a child, it's almost impossible to learn as an adult. IN SJ the rails are on safety break away cups. In 3 day, the jumps are telephone poles hard wired into place. Not a place for an advanced beginner.

I've been wanting to make this point for awhile: just waiting for the right time.

I think it would be a good idea if we international zarafans follow our hero's lead and support our local spinal injury research.

Thank you for the pictures iceflower. Oh Zara, what has gone wrong with your normally exquisite fashion sense? IMO, she looks bloo*y awful!

That has got to be one of the most unflattering outfit I have seen on Zara for ages. Then again, that whole "cowgirl look" is very much a Nashville concoction anyway. At least Zara didn't have any of the glitters and studs trimmings on. That would be really gagging.

I have read news reports that Zara's investure will be a private affair and no cameras will be able to photograph the event. Has anyone else read this? It's a shame because I would have loved to see her get her MBE.
